+ -1 moreDiscovered my freezer was not working, it would switch on then it immediately switch off. I called Stoneback as well as some others. They told me if it was a compressor it would be cheaper to replace the machine but it might be something as simple as thestarter relay. I made an appointment for the next day. About 15 minutes later I called back spoke to the same guy was asking about what freezers they had in stock and information. While talking to him he said that he could swing by after work and if it is just the starter relay get it replaced if not could talk about my options to get me a freezer the next day. He showed up 30 minutes later and had it running in 10 minutes. The freezer is old and I still need to monitor it. But definitely when it comes time for replacement I am going to them. They went above and beyond in squeezing me in and looking at my problem that day.

Description of Work: I needed a washer delivered that day! Within 2 hours, Martin had my washer delivered, set up and washing clothes. I went to four different stores before this one and, no one had a washer in stock! I have this store on speed dial!

+ 0 moreThis could not have gone better. The tech arrived on time. He took off the cover to the machine and did several checks on it. Eventually he found a wire harness with a plug on it that had vibrated loose. He secured it with a large wire tie so it would not come loose in the future. He did some more tests to make sure that the problem was fixed. Once done he said that it was possible that there was a different intermittent problem, but the only way to find out was to proceed and use the machine and see if the problem reoccured. It did not. The plug was the problem. After several months the machine still works fine. I felt the charge was very fair and that the tech was excellent. Sorry I did not get his name. Also used them several years ago to fix our refrigerator. That went well too, although more expensive (parts were needed)

Description of Work: I'd been trying to diagnose and repair my GE Profile refrigerator (purchased 2005) since before Christmas. It would maintain temperatures for a few hours, then warm up for several hours. I am often successful at repairing devices in my home - TV, microwave oven, the same refrigerator 1.5 yrs previously, plumbing, etc., I had ordered a couple of replacement parts online in hopes one of them was the problem. The first arrived, a control board, but it worked less well than the one I already had. The 2nd part arrived shortly before the service guy, Dan from Stoneback, arrived. He came the afternoon of the day I called for service. Dan was very knowledgeable and professional; he was happy to explain what he was doing at each step as he worked to determine the source of the problem. He eventually found that the compressor start relay appeared to be the problem - at that time I told him that that was the exact part I had received via FedEx before he arrived. He installed it and then took the time to verify that the refrigerator was again working properly. I am quite happy with the service that Stoneback Appliance provided.
