Dan and his team have done a great job for us on two different occasions over the past year. He was willing to come right away, very personable, and knows what he's talking about. Gave us good advice on how to deal with our damaged trees. His crew did not leave a mess in our yard. We have been very happy with this company!

Service was great price was the cheapest of 5 quotes. It was $1500 cheaper then the next lowest bid and the did an outstanding job.

They were friendly and professional taking time to do it right, they took pride in their work and were $1000- $1500 cheaper than the other companies.

The morning after a violent microburst split one of my hedge trees in half, I called Shamrock at 8 am and left a message saying that I needed to have a tree removed. I received a call back later that day. Dan told me that they probably had about 70 or 80 calls on their voice mail by the time I called at 8 am! He put me on the "emergency" list (hourly rate instead of bid process) and he said they were going to the jobs in the order in which people called. He said his crews were going to be working all day, every day, including weekends, until they had gotten through the "emergency service" list. They came by and removed the tree within a few days. I was at work when they got there and he called from my back yard and told me that another limb, very high up in another tree, was also broken and resting on other limbs (which is probably why I didn't see it). (I know there was a limb removed because when I came home I saw the empty space higher up in that tree, and the slight damage the broken limb had done to other limbs in the tree.) He removed that and I had him trim up the trunks of the other trees in the back yard (removing suckers, etc.) He left a bill with two alternatives--not grinding out the stump, which would have been $850 for all work done, or grinding out the stump for an additional $150. So I called him and told him to go ahead, and they were back within two days to finish that job. I used Shamrock a few years ago to trim the trees in the back yard. They came highly recommended by a friend in Lawrence, and I was not disappointed. That's why I called them this time. So--$1000.00 seems like a lot, but they took out a large, severely damaged tree and ground down the stump, removed a broken limb from another tree, and trimmed up the trunks of the rest of the trees. That's a lot of tree work for $1000.00. I don't mind paying for professional service. Dan has several certified arborists on his staff and he is one himself. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Dan has to be scheduled way ahead of time, as he is very busy. Nice guy, has done almost all my tree work for many years. The tree in question is very large and needed the crown trimmed back. Pears are prone to splitting, and this one is cabled. Dan has helped me keep it, although it probably should be cut down. Dan helps keep the cost down by letting me do clean up. So he worked on the pear and his crew worked on the other trees, just letting stuff drop. After they are gone, I break the branches, etc. up for the City pickup of trash. This system has worked well for us. I plan on contacting Dan for more work on overgrown trees.

They did a good job and they did what they told me they would do. When there is a little problem they gave me a call and it worked out. Although, it took them a little longer than they originally told me to come out and do the work.

He was very clear and fair with his estimates. He did an excellent job. Very knowledgeable about specific types of trees and their growth patterns. He did everything right and he informed me about tree maintenance by making smart decisions in proper tree pruning.

I found Shamrock on Angie's List. I called and asked for the service. The service was sub-par because they did not cut the tree/bush to ground level. I called and asked them to cut to ground level. They never did. I have not paid the bill.

He is a professional with an artistic eye. He takes pride in his work and makes sure that you are satisfied.

I needed a large dead elm tree removed. I went through Angie's List to find tree removal companies. I called two companies from Angie's list. Both came out and gave estimates for their service. Both were prompt and very professional.

They were reliable, and they did a good job. I thought that the price was fair.

I will be using him for the work. The estimate was fair. He was knowledgeable and pleasant. He got back with me very promptly.

They trimmed trees. They used Arborist technology and did not just slash and cut trees. They were very careful and selective in their tree trimming.

I have always been very pleased with them. We have had the do several things for us and they are reasonable priced. He is very knowledgable about trees so he does a good job. He does not just hack the trees. He knows what he is doing and how to trim the trees right. He explained what was going on and what you needed to do. He was good.

They are awesome. I read some other reviews that they were thorough and cleaned up well. I found that they were true. They cleaned up and hauled away what they cut down.

They provided excellent services. Dan came and gave an estimate and discussed options. very knowledgeable about trees and what would be best for the tree growth. I agreed to the services and was put on a waiting list (about six weeks) but that was not a problem for us. I was very pleased with the thoroughness of the work. major branches removed and they completed it in about four hours. took care of all the clean up, including raking up leaves and small debris from the job. they did a fantastic job!!! highly recommended and I will use them again for tree trimming.

I had an old fence that was falling down. Behind the fence was numerous trees and brush. I removed the fence. Shamrock came in and cleared everything out, which aloud me to put a new fence up. Dan was great to work with. He made numerous adjustments to my schedule. This job was very time sensitive. They were puncual and completed the work quickly. I would definitely use them again.

We didn?t spend anything. We had them come out to take a look at my tree since there were some issues. The guy who came out was very nice and did some little bit of work without any charge. I didn?t know if we had to spray the tree or do something else. He removed the fungus and told me that it would be okay. We had him look at a place where we had planned to plant another tree. We will call him back when we are ready to have the tree planted. I wasn?t here when he came and my husband was. My husband is very picky but he liked the tree service guy. So he must have been good. He knew what he was doing and his responsiveness was very good. We would use his services again.

Dan and his 4 helpers were very thorough and considerate. Dan seemed honest and very knowledgeable. He can climb trees! We actually called a few people who had hired Dan in the past, and every single one of them had nothing bad to say about his services. Now we know why. He did an exceptional job. The yard was cleaner than before, when they were done. I would definitely hire him again. I didn't think the price was high because we had gotten quotes from other services, and not only they looked shady, they quoted the same job higher than Dan.

THE TREE SERVICE OWNER IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. WITH ONE OR TWO HELPERS HE DOES THE WORK HIMSELF. HE ANSWERS QUESTIONS AND GIVES ADVICE ON POSSIBLE PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE. HIS CHARGES ARE FAIR AND HE HAS A PLEASANT PERSONALITY.
