Price's Appliance Repair

My noticed while baking this summer that the upper oven was off by 20-30 degrees. She called the repair service and was told due to Covid that they were weeks behind and would be calling to schedule an appointment. About three and a half week later my wife received a call while at work from Mr. Price saying he was at our home to inspect the oven. When my wife told him we weren’t home and that nobody had called to schedule Mr. Price said he would have to talk with someone in their office. We never heard back from him to reschedule the service or to update us on the communication issue. In early December we received a bill for 65.58 for the unscheduled trip to our house. We called the repair shop and left a message there was not a return call for 6 days. Mr. Price called and proceeded to try and strong arm me saying I would pay half or he would send it to collections. I will be contesting the bill. CONSUMERS BEWARE!

This business is running a scam. I was billed for work that didn't occur, due to a breakdown in their office to tech communications. I called on 7/7/20 to schedule an appliance repair. I was told by the woman in the office they were scheduling for week of 7/20, and that a tech would call me during that week to schedule an exact appointment time. I never received a call scheduling the appointment; instead, I received a phone call on 7/23 from a tech saying they were at my home. I was not there, as I had not been told of any appointment time. I was then told by the tech I would be charged for a service call, as I wasn't home. I let him know I never got a call to schedule the appointment, nor was I told there would be a cancelation or no-show charge. The tech said that he would bring it up with his wife who ran the office, and she would call me about it. I never received another call, but then received an invoice for $65.58 on 12/01/20. When my husband called about the invoice and recounted the situation again, the tech resorted to name calling and said he "felt entitled to something" since he drove to our home, and we could either pay half the amount or he would send it to collections. Price's is trying to make us pay for their communication mistake. Rude and unprofessional; do not use this business.

We set the appointment time for between 3:00 and 5:00. The repairman arrived at 2:59. He had the dryer apart and the problem diagnosed within 15 minutes. When he told me that it was a bad heating unit I assumed that he would have to order one. Not so. He had the replacement part in his truck. He replaced and tested and cleaned the accessible parts of the vent and was done in 45 minutes. The repairman was professional, helpful and very friendly. The price for the service call and part replacement was actually less than I feared it would be. We will use price again.

We came home from being out of town, to a broken refrigerator! It was a Saturday so first thing Monday morning I called Price's, based on the great reviews. Not only did Mack show up right away, fix the problem but he showed us a few things about our fridge we didn't know. It was a pleasure to have him in our home and I would definitely call him again if any appliance breaks.

Had to order. The part came quickly and they were very prompt at notifying me when it arrived. The price was good. Very courteous service.

The repairman knew right away what needed to be done when he saw where the leak was coming from. He had the replacement pump on the truck. He took off the front off the washer, replaced the part, tested it, put the machine back together, and was gone in less than half an hour. He was very pleasant and explained everything he did to me. My washing machine is now working perfectly. I would definitely call Price again for any major appliance repair.

It went very well. I was pleased with how friendly they were and he seemed very knowledgable. I also liked the fact that he was able to work on my Bosch dishwasher. Others in the Lawrence area said they did not work on those.

They were prompt, courteous, very knowledgeable, and did the repair that needed to be done. Their pricing was fair.

It's been so long since he was out, I can't discuss more. But Bill is always reliable.

Price's Appliance Repair had people they sent out. Somebody recommended him and so I got him to come and I had him a couple of times. They came really quickly - we didn't have a long wait. And he obviously knows what he is doing, he zipped right in, and zipped right out. It was really successful. He always did a great job.

I have used them probably about four times in the last 12 years.

Price's has always been incredibly professional and punctual. They do good work and I will definitely use them again in the future.

He arrived on time and performed the work entirely to our satisfaction. He left no mess or debris. He was polite and friendly with my wife.

Mack did a great job explaining and checking out different parts to address all the troubles that we were experiencing. He diagnosed the problem with the freezing and explained the cost to fix before performing the service. After installing the new motherboard, we still did not have a working ice maker or ice/water dispenser on the front. He called the manufacturer to get some information from them and then called to update me on what he learned. He came back out a couple of days later when he received a new part from the manufacturer and put a second new board in the fridge since the manufacturer felt that was causing all of the problems. This new board did not fix the ice maker problem or the ice/water dispenser, so he replaced the ice maker. After that, he diagnosed that the front ice/water dispenser was not working due to a short circuit in the door. We chose not to replace the door. Mack was friendly and courteous during each of the visits. He was also informative.

THEY WERE PROMPT AND CAME ON TIME AS THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEY WERE COURTEOUS AND DIDN'T LEAVE MY LAUNDRY ROOM A MESS. I HAVE HAD THEM NUMEROUS TIMES, AND THEY ARE ALWAYS GOOD AND FAIR.
