Paradise Carpet One Floor & Home

In short - Paradise Carpet One has excellent selection of carpets and good, helpful sales people. At the same time, installation crew is inexperienced, to say the least. Management just does not want to address installation defects. All the above based on my own bad experience with carpet replacement by Paradise in September 2019. Numerous installation defects can be fixed by replacement of the entire carpet only, but management claims that there are no defects.

The installers were quick. The carpet is nicely laid. We love our new carpet!

Great service from start to finish. Professional and knowledgeable. We shopped around a lot and very pleased we went with Paradise - cost, service, quality. We're already planning on using them again.

We especially appreciated having Jeff and Erin come to Topeka to help us decide on flooring since we have so much existing wood especially in the dining room. They helped us make a great choice, and we get lots of compliments on the flooring. We also appreciated the fact that Paradise Carpet One does not contract out the installation but they have their own installers. The guy who did ours was very particular and did an outstanding job.

Staff were always willing to work with me as I made decisions. They came to the house to help me choose and brought product to assist in the decision. Product was ordered timely and installation was scheduled with my needs in mind. Installation was coordinated to allow me to update my plumbing at the same time and to ensure I could move through the house as needed. Installers were knowledgeable and professional. They came on time and finished as scheduled. It went well. I did not follow the owners recommendation to buy hardwood floors and now wish I had.

I hired this group to replace kitchen flooring and carpet in two rooms. The young man who did the tile work did a really good job. But the carpet installation and the aftermath was a nightmare. The manager was always late for scheduled appointments, averaging 20 to over 30 minutes late. This was problematic because they would only schedule during weekday business hours and they did not empathize with customers who have to take off work to accomodate their schedule. The carpet had to be installed twice in the living room because the first carpet had snags which the installers tried to tell me were my imagination. (Karastan sent an expert who agreed that the carpet was flawed.) It took several weeks for them to be available to install the replacement carpet. When the second carpet was installed, a raw cut edge was left exposed at the carpet's abuttment against tile flooring because they had cut it too short. In both rooms, the carpet was wavy and did not lie flat. They told me it would eventually lay flat. The owner came to look at the raw edge which was not sealed down. I could literally lift up the section of carpet to view the pad and cement pad underneath. The owner and the installation manager would never acknowledge that this was not acceptable. Eventually the owner brought an old man who glued the raw edge down. The installation manager actually shouted at me in my own home. At that point, knowing that I would never allow anyone from Paradise Floors to enter my home again, I hired another installer several months later about the wavy carpet and the cut edge. All he had to do was to restretch the carpet, something that Paradise Floors could have done, but did not appear to have the expertise to know that this was the solution and that the installers had not done a proper installation in the first place. If you are a single woman, definitely do not use Paradise Floors.

I used them within the last 6 months. They are wonderful. I would give them top marks. They treat you like family. We are going to use them for more work.

This was a major upgrade for my home and I made many visits to the showroom to pick out what would look best in my home. At various times, I brought friends and family members with me to get their opinions, too. The sales staff was patient and understanding of my need to make absolutely sure about my choices. When I finally made a decision, they worked with my schedule (I wanted to get the living room painted first) and completed the job swiftly. I was completely satisfied with every step of the process. When I can afford to replace the carpet in my bedroom, I will definitely return to Paradise!

My wife and I were very pleased with the work performed by Paradise Floors/Carpet One. We purchased carpet for our entire finished basement and also purchased tile for one of our bathrooms. They measured each area and we purchased the carpet and tile for installation. Everyone went perfectly! They had a large selection of carpet and tile and their pricing was fair. The carpet and tile installers were very professional and did outstanding work. We will definitely use Paradise Floors/Carpet One again. I give them the highest possible recommendation!

We will use Paradise again. Great people to work with. Very efficiently done, no surprise extra cost along the way. No seams showing, looks great.

Jeff and his guys did a complete flooring install in our house. Previous flooring removed (what a mess, not Jeff's fault), and got the carpet and hardwoods installed. Some delays, but in the end, very happy. First class service and people... I will use again, for sure!

Paradise handled the sale and the tile installation, but they use a contractor out of KC for the granite work. Also, they work with the plumber of your choice to replace sink/fixtures, but they coordinate everything so the subs all show up in the proper order.It took about 5 days, start to finish. It was all completed on time and the work was beautiful. It's a year later, and we are still very happy with how it turned out.

They did a really good job. They came when they said. They were very professional and friendly. It was very neat and they cleaned up afterwards. They were helpful in the store when we were picking it up; they actually guided us to a less expensive floor. They gave really good service. When I compare them with the other company they are probably more expensive. I would recommend them.

Overall, this company is hot and cold on responsiveness. They may come out right away to see the work and then take a really long time getting back to you or will not get back to you at all. The quality of the work is poor. I did not expect to have to re-grout a 2 year old shower. They do not provide written bids which is a huge red flag. They also tend to be rude on the phone when you disagree with anything they have done or propose to do. I will not use this company again.
