Over the years the shower faucets had developed problems with smooth operation, squeaky when turned, and appeared to be coming loose to the point that when the hot water was running and needed adjusting there would be a moment of cold water then the hot water would return which led to some surprising ice water shocks during a shower. Not good. Well, Mark Silva fixed all of that. He arrived on time, listened to my complaint made sure he understood the issue and, went right to work. He explained the reason he had to replace some worn parts and was obviously very knowledgeable. Mark was courteous and I really liked how easy it was for him to explain plumbing stuff so I could understand what he was talking about and he was happy to answer other plumbing question that had been curious about. Clean up was thorough and respect of property happened which was much appreciated. I will ask Kastl Plumbing to send Mr. Silva for any future plumbing problems I may have.

Water flowed in the basement every time the second story sinks, toilets, and showers were used. We had two contractors give us estimates. One wanted to knock holes in the walls to find the problem. Robert Lasher, of Kastl Plumbing, had a better idea. He would remove a toilet and send a camera down to find the leak before removing drywall. It turned out that when Robert arrived with the camera, access through a wall had been found so the toilet removal was unnecessary. He thought there was a nail hole in a pipe, the fitting attaching old and new pipes from prior remodeling was not aligned, a drain pipe was bad, and the flange on a toilet was bad. We knew most of these and other problems were there. We accepted his bid of $2700 and scheduled the work for June 30 and July 1. On the 30th, Kastl Plumbing called to say Robert had a family emergency so they would send more people with Robert on the next day to complete the job as promised. On Wednesday, July 1, Robert found a crack in an iron pipe on the first floor that was about two feet long and an inch wide. They were still able to complete the work on time. They left the rebuilt toilet off that was to sit in front of the hole in the drywall so we could get the drywall repaired first. On Thursday, we realized one sink had not been fixed. We had discussed it with Robert, but weren't sure if it was in the bid he'd given. When we called Kastl, they added it to the work order for the Monday toilet completion. On Monday, everything was finished and working well.

After a delivery/installation sub-contractor for a big appliance retailer managed to break a water line in the process of installing our new refrigerator, Kastl shuffled their schedule and worked late in order to get our water back on the same day. The next day, they replaced our kitchen sink, which was ruined due to the initial damage. We liked Kastl so much that we had them replace one of our leaking toilets as well.

I've been extremely happy with the work they've done over the last ten years.

Called on Tuesday about blocked kitchen drain. Was told they are not available until Friday afternoon.

Kastl Plumbing was the only company who correctly diagnosed the problem we were having with our and quot;pinkand quot; water. I had previously had another company come out and completely miss the issue (and charge me for their and quot;freeand quot; diagnosis). Unbelievable. Kastl is honest and do great work. They fixed it within a day or two of our calling them. They squeezed us into their already busy schedule since we had somewhat of an emergency waiting to happen. Would definitely call them again (the first time this time)!

Did not show on first appointment. Confused about installation, asked same question several times. Work quality was good, but price was high.

We were pleased with the services completed. The serviceman was friendly and fit us in to his tight schedule despite it being a cold spell with lots of frozen pipes busting at the time. I will use them again!

Sean was prompt and courteous, and did a great job. He checked with me about drain fitting options, and also informed me about a slight maintenance issue that he had found and taken care of (the shut-off valve packing nut had needed tightening).

The employee was at our house on a Thursday, and said he would talk to the boss and see when they could come out. The following Tuesday I called the office because I hadn't heard back yet. The man who answered the phone was very pleasant and seemed concerned. He would look into it and see when we could get the boss to our house and would call me. We never heard back.

I wanted to switch from an electric to gas stove, and needed a gas line installed. I made an appointment well in advance, so after the stove was delivered I wouldn't have to wait to have the gas line installed. I made it clear on the phone that I needed a gas line installed, and I would also like a quote on installing a shower head. I was never told anything in reference to them needing to check out the home before they installed the gas line. My wife made arrangements to work from home, which is a big inconvenience. The employee showed up an hour late, after I called that morning to ask why there wasn't anyone at our house at the specified time. When he showed up, he was evidently under the impression that he was just there to provide an estimate and did not have the materials necessary to do the work. He said he did not have time to do the job that day but that they *might* be able to do it the next day. He did not attempt to call the office to inform them of the situation, nor did he apologize for the inconvenience. I understand that the situation was probably not his fault and was due to a miscommunication at the office, but the end result is that we were seriously inconvenienced and also had to make do without the use of a stove for several days until we could get a different plumber to do the work. (I had already disconnected and moved the old stove and the 220V outlet was disconnected.) Also, no one from the company ever called us to see if there was something they could do or apologize for the wasted time, so I can only assume that the employee did not tell anyone what happened when he returned. Maybe they were having a bad day; I called this company on the recommendation of a family member, but they lost me as a customer. There's plenty of other plumbers in Lawrence.

They came right out and repaired. Price was pretty reasonable, no problems since - but it has only been a week since service. I was not the one present, when service was provided, so I cannot comment on in-person professionalism.

Four toilets set after remodel. Plumbing changes in many places. Terry and Nick were excellent! Professional, helpful, will use again (and again). A+++++++

Process went smoothly. Technicians arrived on schedule, worked efficiently, and their work was subsequently inspected by the city. Everything was fine.

They are responsive and professional.

We only spent $75 because we have home warranty policy and that was our deductable. The rest was paid by our home warranty policy. The man that responded to our backed up drain began grumbling about our insurance carrier that they only paid a set amount for rooting drains and that it would cost us much more than he would be getting paid and he assured us that next year they would not be servicing policies through them anymore. He proceeded to unblock the drain through the basement access complaining that he was using too much line and he argued with me that my sewer lines ran out back (when they run out front to the street). He got the line unclogged but then replaced the line cover from our home with a plastic one that did not seal as the threads did not match. He also left that black sludge from the drain all over the basement floor and wall when he re-coiled his snake line. I had to call him back out to replace the cover with the original that he had removed and I asked him about the mess he had left. His comment was that is was not his job to clean up. I had to go out and buy a mop and clean up the mess he left. This company runs an ad that says they "clean up any mess" I feel that since he felt he was being underpaid, he only did part of his job and made me do the rest.

I RECEIVED A REASONABLE ESTIMATE WHICH WAS HONORED. THE WORK WAS DONE QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY.
