Quality Fence

I had several bids from different fence companies and did a lot of research before I chose Quality Fence. They certainly were not the cheapest, but they had good reviews and they were initially very accommodating and responsive with questions and providing estimates. The crew who arrived for the removal of my old fence and installation of posts were a far cry from the attentive staff I had been dealing on the phone. As I walked the perimeter with a few crew members to discuss the fence line, one of them was smoking a cigarette and exhaling smoke in my face. I chose not to make a big deal of it, but this is how the experience started. When they left for the day, there was debris in driveway and back yard and they left two large sections of my fence (with protruding nails) in the middle of my front lawn. I called the office to ask when they would be picking it up and they said they had a broken down truck so they were going to leave it there until they were scheduled to be back in 3 days. Needless to say, my grass died under the pile. I was out of town when they returned and put up the fence, and it all appeared to look fine. Upon further inspection, there were at least four posts that were loose in the ground and the fence would wobble back and forth under slight pressure. The main area of concern was the posts surrounding the gate were visibly loose in the ground. I called the office, emailed, and they finally sent out a crew member to take a look. He did make a repair to an edge that they had left unfinished and that looked great, but he argued that since the gate was “operable” that his boss said they would not do anything to fix it and he then referred me to the warranty. After he left, I called the office and expressed my dissatisfaction and asked to speak with Donnie, the owner. It took two phone calls as well as an email with videos of the wobbly fence in order to get attention. Donnie came out a week later and was in agreement that there was a problem, and promised resolution within the next two weeks. They came out as promised, dug out around posts, and filled with additional concrete. The quality of the repair was akin to a cook spitting in your food because you sent it back to the kitchen. A few of the posts looked fine but then several had concrete poured into a giant lumpy pile that extended up past the bottom of the fence pickets. It felt pretty spiteful. I am very unhappy and definitely do NOT recommend Quality Fence, as the work is far from quality.

Spent almost $9,000 on our new fence and LOVE IT. The only problem is that our back gate will not close properly. We cannot get a response or a fix and have been trying to fix it for the last several weeks. The gate is supposed to be insured but we cannot get a response. So....everything up to this point was WONDERFUL but now our fence isn't usable because we cannot get through the back gate. Wish they would follow up with this part of service!

This is a great company. Very responsive. Both crews worked hard and were very conscientious in building the fence. The fence looks wonderful. Quality made. I've recommended them to all my neighbors.

I wanted a steel pet proof fence, so I checked Angie’s List, BBB, and various other sites. I selected Quality Fence because of the customer ratings and the quality of steel fencing they use. I contacted Chelsea at Quality Fence who is easy to work with via phone or email and had an initial quote based on aerial images and our discussion. In a short time, I received a quote with fence/gate layout and price. I returned the signed copy and shortly after was scheduled to meet with Kelly for on-site exact measurements to be taken. Kelly answered all my questions without hesitation and made suggestions based on typography and house exterior as to where to place gates for ease of entrance and mowing. The fence post installation crew were exacting in the job. All posts lined up exactly and height above grade was perfect. The fence installation crew was no less exacting with their job. My wife and I are enjoying the finished project and can’t stop saying, “WOW it makes the yard look like a park!” We give Quality Fence an A + grade.

Showed up when they said they would. Have always returned my calls or emails. Work done was of great quality and done quickly. Will definitely use again or refer to friends.

Quality Fence was one of several that gave quotes for a fence (157' at my house which was the full back yard and 62' at my neighbors home which was one long side and two short adjoining sides to home - both with one 4' gate). The actual fencing installation and quality we are both very pleased with. Was told all the product was USA made -- which I try to purchase whenever possible USA products. There was a good bit of "back and forth" on the price. They were NOT the cheapest bidder but did have a cheaper surveyor that they used ($375 compared to others asking $450) and I like to support family owned businesses when I can. My fence (3 sides and gate) was $4800 and the neighbors (one side/two short sides and gate) was $2700. We supposedly did get a price reduction for doing both yards at the same time but again -- they were not the cheapest bid. My biggest issue is what has already been mentioned -- COMMUNICATION. Calls are NEVER ANSWERED and emails were MOSTLY answered. TEXTS were also MOSTLY answered. It took quite a bit of emailing to get clarification on some things. I feel if you want my business you should make the effort to be respond in a timely manner (vs several days and after multiple attempts at calls and emails). That is why I said I would not hire them again because I felt like I was having pull information constantly. We did consider aluminum since it was the quality already installed at neighbors yard by HOA -- but convinced that the extra money was worth the steel.

Quality Fence was very patient with the delays caused by the HOA and the weather. They obtained the survey, necessary local permits, utility flags, etc. Work was done in a timely manner. All employees were polite and professional. All debris was removed from the property. I would use them again, and would highly recommend them to others.

Great! Donnie and crew completed our job in a timely manner and we’re delighted with the quality of their work. We showed them a picket design which they hadn’t done before and they executed perfectly. They hauled away the old fence material and left the job clean. You can tell the carpenters take pride in their work and I would recommend Quality Fence.

Excellent and done in one and a half days

Very disappointing to have no response. If they had lost track of their appointment schedule, had a family conflict, or anything else- the absence of a return phone call and absence of any apology is really poor form. See above notes for more details.

They started a day earlier than scheduled due to weather and finished on time. Posts and boards were absolutely perfect; Donnie and his four man crew were super polite & friendly and you could not ask for a better clean-up after the job. Our neighbor had his fence replaced as well and we both got a bit of discount for two jobs. We very highly recommend Quality - check them out if you are getting quotes.

Overall, the fence looks fantastic! They could use a little more punctuality with responsiveness to emails and messages, but they were very polite and professional. In addition, there was a bit of a miscommunication regarding the scope of work between the person who gave us the quote and the actual construction team, but everything worked out in the end without issues. The team came out on Monday to remove the old chain-link fence and set the new posts. In addition, they even cut back weeds, vines, and rotted trees along the fence line! Then they came back Wednesday and had the fence completed in half a day, plus they worked through constant rain. I would definitely use them again. After seeing my fence, my neighbor decided to give them a call too.

HOA did not approve so no fence was ever built.

Well! I'm pleased with the fence, how quickly they were able to install it, and how they communicated with me about specific details. I have two suggestions: Don't leave cigarette butts in peoples' yards, and don't wear sweatshirts with offensive messages on them.

The person that measured did not communicate very well with the people that put the fence in with things such as fence placement, gate placement, etc... Luckily I was home, was able to let them know. They moved the fence with no issue.

Couldn't have been better. I got 3 bids for a fence. Quality was the quickest to come out to write the bid and very responsive through out the process. We communicated several times via email before I made my final decision as I had several questions, they were always quick to respond and very polite and professional. We decided to go with them because of the way they handled business while shopping companies and because they offered a great price. On the day of the job they showed up on time, the fence was completed as promised, and the work was great. Our fence looks perfect and we love it. Smooth transaction from start to finish couldn't be more pleased. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars highly recommend.

I am reporting on a job from 4 years ago. I'm including this review now because it seemed all the original quality of the work appeared solid. However, after about 6 months I noticed loose boards and the gate would not properly latch any longer. I contacted the company 3 times without a return call. Not a quality company.

Odd shaped lot and a yard that sloped a lot. They did an outstanding job. I was worried that with the layout of my yard there would be gaps on the bottom and/or the top line of the fence would look bad. Their hands on work eliminated both my concerns. I could not be more pleased. My neighborhood is anti-fence and I have had many compliments on this fence. Great job.
