Quoted me a 1000.00 to replace my tub with a walk-in shower but billed me 1200.00. I furnished all parts. The work took 8 hours to complete, and it is a disaster. The shower was slightly narrower than the tub and also a few inches shorter. When he removed the tub enclosure he also pulled some of the paper off the drywall and some paint with it. Around the top, he left a 3 inch strip of dark brown adhesive. The bottom half of the bathroom walls consists of a pale green painted paneling. The ends of the panel and paint are damaged at the enclosure. The tub enclosure was not as wide as the space so there was a wood structure built up on the left side to support the left enclosure wall. When Mitch's worker installed the new enclosure he basically left it as it was. I now have bare wood protruding about 1 1/2-inches beyond the left side enclosure wall. At the bottom, he left the floor bare between where the tike ended and the enclosure started and did not caulk the seam between the floor and the pan. When he left after 6 hours he said it was done but he needed to come back to install some trim. He did come back and put in some trim around it but the damage extended beyond the width of the trim. Also, the enclosure leans back so that there is a small gap at the bottom but grows wider as it goes up. I called and left a message but my call was never returned. I have photos of the "after" condition.

I thought it all went well. He came when he said he would and the work was fine.

He came early in the morning on the day promised and proceeded with removal of the old furnace. I told him to let me know when he needed help to remove the old unit or move the new unit into the basement. He worked until about noon and when he left for lunch, I went downstairs to see how far along he was in removing the old unit. He had already disconnected the old furnace and had the new unit installed. After lunch, he connected the a-coil for the A/C and had the unit up and running by late afternoon. Mitch is a very hard worker, works quickly and neatly. We certainly will consider using his services again when we install a new furnace on the second floor. As a sidelight, when we were ready to start the furnace in the fall, I could not get it to fire. I contacted Mitch by phone and he was at the house in less than 30 minutes. It turned out to be a partially blocked vent due to some of the other home remodeling. The problem was easily fixed and he had it working in less than 10 minutes - no charge. No problems after that.
