KITCHEN CONCEPTS INC

We signed up for a 3 month project that was supposed to take from Oct. 24th to December 22nd. The contractor did not finnish our project until March 18th. The first week of the job after signing the contract the owner wanted more money to move a wall that was already in the contract because he stated he did not know it was weight bearing though he did inspect the house prior to the job and did have a copy of our house plans. We were also misled about what the contract signed allowed in fixtures. We were told we would get a shower door without a large frame and then were told when it was time to put it in that our budget would not allow for this. They would tell us that things like our cabinets were one price and then send us an invoice for a greater amount. The plumber flooded our floor, our ceiling and our carpet in our basement by not hooking up the plumbing correctly. The electrician left live wires with post it notes on switches telling us not to turn on certain switches instead of putting wire nuts on before going home. The sheetrocker poured excess sheetrock mud down our toilet instead of properly disposing of it---and the owner of the company stated that this was ok because it is "water soluble". The workers used all of our bathrooms on the main level and in the basement while working. The workers borrowed our ladders, our broom, our fan and our hammer without asking (and even had to search through our things to find all of these items). The broom was so badly damaged that I made them get me a new one. They also cut wood in our garage with our door to the house open blowing saw dust into our kitchen. They left our house unlocked and the garage doors up when nobody was in the house working. The house had multiple dings to walls in areas not being remodeled from workers not being careful. The painter lied to me. They told me that Dynatek was out to my house to fix some security sensors that they broke during the remodel only to find out that dynatek had not really been called and were not at my house (I still do not know the names of the 3 guys that were in my house). The owner of kitchen concepts screamed at us on multiple occasions even though we were the ones getting our house trashed. The owner even threatened us that he was getting a lawyer because we would not pay him until the job was finnished...... The project manager who was actually trying to help us through this home remodeling disaster was fired and no longer works for the company. The tiler told us that based on the poor handeling of our job that he will not do any more work for kitchen concepts. The owner even yelled and the tile guy's son. I would expect that spending 65000 on a remodel would earn some sort of customer service or at least respect from the company owners. you could not pay me to let this company remodel anything in our house again. I would not recommend them for any project large or small. PLEASE hire someone else.
