"From the call to set up the appointment to when we had our evaluation, Smart Environmental Services was the most professional, knowledgeable, and kind service I've ever booked. Quick service and setup, keen attention to detail, and very courteous inside the home. (It felt as if they were a neighbor we had known for a long time.) Not only did they save us money regarding our asbestos, they gave us a wealth of helpful knowledge during our evaluation. Show up on time, cleaned up was great, told me exactly what he was going to do happy with the results.

They were incredibly prompt, friendly, and responsive. I reached out on a Thursday late afternoon, got the test sample collected Friday morning, and received the results by Tuesday after a holiday. The whole process went smooth. I will definitely reuse their services in the future and send referrals.

Smart Environmental has excellent customer service and incredibly honest people. They saved us thousands of dollars by stressing the importance of testing our old vermiculite insulation rather than assuming it had asbestos. While another company took a look at our attic and gave us a quote for over $3,000 of asbestos remediation, Pony described that many inspectors see old insulation and assume it is asbestos, but that is not always the case. Pony took a sample from our attic, got it tested for us, and promptly sent us the negative test results the next day. We could not be more grateful for Ponys honesty and the diligence he took in actually testing our insulation instead of just assuming we needed a costly remediation.

Project: Sample-Taking for possible asbestos in my 1935-built home A fallen tree damaged my roof & attic and caused cracks in popcorn ceilings & walls. SMART readily submitted proof of employees' IDs and current KS asbestos training certifications, at my request. "Pony" took samples, following US Consumer Product Safety Commission's precautions for taking asbestos samples in a home (ex: wore shoe covers; used plastic drop cloths; changed gloves with each sample; used spray bottle to dampen area so as avoid possible release of asbestos fibers while sampling, etc..). This mattered a LOT to me. Cost was per sample taken, rather than an upfront site inspection fee PLUS the cost per sample, as other companies required. Also was willing to bill directly to my insurance company. Certified, competent, courteous, knowledgeable, flexible, prompt, personable, professional and sensitive to customer's health & safety concerns. Also, used a reputable NVLAP-accredited lab to test samples taken. Happy to say, All samples tested negative for asbestos; so I'm as pleased as punch. Review by Gloria J in Kansas City, KS. The Smart team was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We had a major flood and they were able to get there quickly and begin the dry out and mitigation process right away. They made this disaster much easier to deal with. We would HIGHLY recommend them!

We were told that we had black mold in our attic. They came out and checked. There was no mold in our attic. I will recommend them to anyone. They were honest with us, and they are great people.

If you want to be educated about mold, listen to Pony. He has a wealth of information and experience. He spent numerous hours explaining everything to us and answering many of our questions. In fact he found mold under our basement exterior walls that had plastic vapor barrier over the insulation. It was turning black. This was not even identified by a previou mold inspection we had done in September 2020 by a different company. Pony identified that when our house was built in 1990 builders installed this plastic vapor barrier and presently it doesn't pass code in Kansas. Our humid climate helped promote this mold growth. The rest of the crew, Marie, Ben, Cameron, Alexis and others were always professional, on time and kept me informed during the remediation. We had ERMI & HERTSMI testing before which showed a very high rate recommending we not be in our home. Fortunately our post ERMI score was in the negatives which proved the successful remediation by SMART Restoration. I highly recommend this company. You won't be disappointed!

Excellent team of workers who did the remediation work. On time and excellent clean up when finished. Office staff is very efficient and answered all my questions. â Ponyâ came out and explained the complete process once we received back the report from the person who did the testing.

17:23 7 â ¢ Safari Michele Leonard r**** just now I hired Pony and his team to do mold remediation in my home due to visual mold on the main level of my house (inherited the house last year in June) in the dining room, kitchen, hallway and basement due to condensation in in air ducts from my HVAC unit. I'm disabled and hardly EVER go in the basement. A friend found wet ceiling tiles and mold down there. The basement had to have all ceiling tiles removed, all contents (boxes, storage containers, rugs, etc) removed, thrown away or cleaned and repacked (they did all of that!). The master bedroom had high mold readings & the basement had mold readings that were atrocious!! The team worked for 3 days... cleaning, removing all that needed to be removed scrubbing, fogging and containing all of the areas safely. They answered all the hundred of questions I had, made me more comfortable and lessened my anxiety because of it being such a big job. When they were done, had the house retested a couple of days later by EcoSafe (thanks, Sarah!) and passed with flying colors!!! Yay! Sucks that none of it was covered under my homeowners insurance but, par for the course! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Smart Restoration LLC!!! Very thorough, knowledgeable and amazing customer service!! We had a mold issue in a 1940s rental. We used Home Advisor to select 3 companies for bids. We selected SMART Restoration LLC based upon how quickly they assessed the issue and talked us through our options for fixing the issue. The process took several visits and they always showed up on time and communicated with me throughout the process. You could tell they care about their customers and take pride in their work. I would hire them again and refer them to anyone that encounters a mold problem.
