Ryan at Neighborhood Painting, Inc was great to work with. He has separate company crews for repairing wood rot and painting. This eliminated dealing with subcontractors. My home had extensive wood rot, which required replacing the front of the home and parts of the other sides. He made good suggestions on areas I would not have thought of. Although a lot of rain and cold occurred during the project, his crews were always there at my home a little after 7 am until after 4 pm on days they could safely work. His color consultant Michelle, perfectly matched our old paint color. There were two follow up areas I identified after the painting was completed, and Ryan had a crew member call me within three hours of receiving my message. The areas were addressed and fixed to my satisfaction on the same day. If you're looking for someone to slap some paint on your home at the lowest price, this isn't the company. I got several estimates on painting the exterior of our house and decided to go with Neighborhood Painting. Prior to providing the estimate Ryan Toekles and I did a walk around the house and discussed what needed to be done in regards to prep work and paint. The estimate provided fully captured all details of that conversation. Of the three estimates the one from Neighborhood Painting was on the high side but not by much. During the project several people commented on the quality of the prep work. It took several days to paint the house. The paint crew showed up early put in a full day and cleaned up at the end of each day. We have a fair amount of landscaping and the impact to it during the painting was minimal. I liked everyone I dealt with at Neighborhood Painting and the final job was everything I expected. I would highly recommend these people.

I was extremely pleased with every aspect of this job. Communication was courteous and very helpful, I asked LOTS of questions and everyone was respectful to answer everyone of them, Work site was kept clean even in the windy conditions.After the prep crew was done, several of my neighbors were already commenting on how great a job they were doing. My house looks fantastic!!!!!

We had some fairly extensive wood-rot repair that needed to happen, and got quotes from 4 different companies for our project. Only one of those quotes included re-siding one side of our house, and that was Neighborhood. The other 3 companies just wanted to repair that side. After seeing what the studs looked like underneath our old siding, I am so thankful we listened to Ryan and re-sided. They were soft and rotting and had we just repaired the surface problems we would've been doing more repairs in just a few years. Neighborhood was not our lowest quote--this was not a cheap project--but we wanted it done right and after several conversations with Ryan we really felt like he was the most knowledgeable and reliable and we decided it was worth the money to choose Neighborhood. I am even more confident in our choice now that the work is completed. Ryan is the only one that detected how bad that side was, and I'm grateful we spent the extra money to do the job right. From start to finish, the project ran smoothly. Both the prep and painting crew were friendly and always willing to answer questions. What I was most impressed by was their punctuality. They arrived at 7 am every day, and they worked hard the whole time they were there (despite them being some of the hottest weeks of the year). They even went out of their way to do a few little extra things (like moving a tree branch that had fallen in our yard). They do a fantastic job cleaning up after themselves every night, I was thoroughly impressed by their work ethic and how professional both crews were. I also really appreciated that Ryan was easy to reach and prompt to respond to questions. Anything I asked him about, I had an answer within a few hours. In general this is just a well-run, reliable, professional company, and I honestly have nothing but good things to say about anyone I had contact with. While they may not be your lowest bid, I assure you it is worth the extra money to work with a company that will take good care of you, and to know your house is in good hands. We are so happy with the finished project and are confident the house will look wonderful for many many years!

I’m extremely pleased with the work done! The crews were friendly, knowledgeable, and showed great pride in their work. They answered all of my questions and ensured I understood what was being done and why. This is a true example of where you get what you pay for; my house looks better than it has in 25 years! They did a great job in all aspects. The house needed a fair amount of siding and trim work and it looks like new. Paint job also was well done. The crew was very professional and did a nice job keeping the work site clean. Would highly recommend.

Excellent company. The work was done in two stages. First the prep/wood rot crew worked for 2 days to get the house ready for paint. I had some extensive wood rot, especially around our garden room and on our front porch columns. The crew repaired all that and caulked and prepped the rest of the house. The paint crew came 2 weeks later (delayed by rain) and painted the house and shutters in 2 days. Both crews were very meticulous and clean up was excellent. A very professional job - I would be happy to recommend Ryan and Neighborhood Painting to anyone.

I was quoted $7500 to paint the exterior of a 1000 sq ft brick home. Not even the full exterior because the siding is only 2 yrs old. He says he quoted it appropriately based on the age of the house. Yes it's an old home, but it's in very good shape.

Neighborhood Painting was extremely professional, very responsive and kept the work site clean and free of all trash and debris. Their quality of product, workmanship and professionalism are outstanding! I would recommend this company to anyone.

Neighborhood Painting did a wonderful job on our home and new deck. Sending out two crews, 1st crew to repair wood rot and prep work followed by the 2nd crew for paint and stain. We found both crews to be very pleasant and provide attention to detail. Using their Color Consultant was fantastic. Highly recommended

We had the outside of our house painted and some siding repaired by Ryan and his team a few years ago. They did such a great job that we hired them to paint our kitchen cabinets and walls, and remove our popcorn ceilings! They are very responsive, efficient and friendly. I would definitely hire them again.

Neighborhood Painting is wonderful! I couldn’t be happier with the interior painting work by this company. Ryan gained my confidence in the beginning when explaining all the work they would do to prepare and complete the painting of the interior of my home. Additionally, he was very attentive to further correspondence via emails. Dave was attentive and kind regarding questions/requests of both the work crew and me. Along with the excellent painting job, the painters showed up on time, worked hard all day, were careful with floors, furniture, etc. I highly recommend this company!

Ryan's crew did a great job, were very considerate of our old (and beloved) building and theatre and were very thourough.

The job went very smoothly. The painting crew were professional and always courteous and respectful of our home and us, since we were on the premises the entire time they were here. We had a lot of cracks and gouges to repair, particularly a very bad area in our stair well. The crew was meticulous on spackling all nail holes and pops, taping all trim, sanding, etc. They vacuumed as they went along, including at the end of each day, and constantly swept up the floors, and cleaning up any drips or splatters immediately. The paint job itself was very professional and clean. Any issues we found after completion of the job were taken care of immediately, and to our complete satisfaction. Its almost like a brand new house! We have received many compliments on the colors that Neighborhood Painting's design consultant helped us select. Grays can be tricky, and I would have gone the wrong way without Michelle's expert help. Neighborhood was the most expensive bid we got, but everyone we talked to had nothing but rave reviews, and they were all right! It was worth every penny and we are happy we did not go cheap. The house looks fabulous. We have just been extremely impressed by the professionalism of the entire job and would happily recommend them to anyone contemplating painting their home. If we ever do the exterior of the house, we will only call Neighborhood Painting to do the job.

We were very pleased with the quality of work performed by employees of Neighborhood Painting. They provided an accurate estimate of repairs needed and called us immediately when additional areas requiring repair were noted on the chimney. The work was timely and efficient. At the completion of the job there were several areas that we felt required additional work. Ryan came out and walked the perimeter of the house with us, and agreed that some additional work was needed. That work was completed within 2 additional work days. We highly recommend Neighborhood Painting and hope to use them for some indoor work this winter.

The storm changed the scope of the painting job, After many e-mails, adjustments, estimates and months, my home is finally beautiful again! I'd like to commend Ryan on choosing such good crews. From the first prep/paint crew: Dave & Tsar (his dog), Bill, Waylon, Delphino, Jason & Alfredo (Chicken), to the final crew: Kevin, Adrian, Nick, Jeremiah & Merle, it was an absolute pleasure. These guys showed up on time every day, only took 1/2 hr. lunch break and were the nicest guys ever. Any problems/ question were addressed immediately and without attitude. They even reattached my back stairs (since I couldn't afford new) so I could get out the back door. Being my own contractor and never attempting to pull something off of this magnitude, there were times I didn't think I'd live through it. But, watching these guys take the care they did in revamping my birthplace made it all worthwhile. I can't lie...I'm glad it's over. But God answered all of my prayers and gave me a sense of pride in now having the most beautiful house in the neighborhood! Take that, Code Enforcement!

Very well. The prep crew was really amazing. As we know, your paint job is only as good as the prep work done for it. There is a massive amount of wood rot that was covered up by the previous owners. This included having almost every window seal rebuild due to excessive rotting that was covered by sheetmetal and pain. Yet even with all that, Kevin's crew turned what was the worst house on the block, into one of the best. As for the paint job, well--my neighbors just had their house painted and there is a big difference in quality. Needless to say there is a lot of house envy going on in the neighborhood now. LOL Only one small issue. At the end we had a bit of an issue with window screens, but it was all worked out.

Well worth the extra money. The color consultant helped us pick out colors we would have otherwise never considered, but I must say... she was right! The house looks great. Ryan's prep team went above and beyond. Caulk everywhere! They removed a massive amount of dry rot from my house and replaced it. I have two dogs and two young kids; so I was very appreciative of the fact that they did a great job cleaning up the site before they left every day. The painters also did a great job. Like the prep team, they cleaned the site before leaving every day. The painting job looks great. No lines, no bubbles... it's perfect. The front office wasn't super easy to deal with, but I must say... At the end of the day, they made everything right.

They had to remove the old gutters, replacing wood in the fascia, corner of the house, soffits were very damaged and over the porch. Their prep crew spent 5 days working at repairing and removing wood rot and structural repairs. They did excellent work. I can't say enough about the the woodwork/carpentry of the whole thing. The quality of the whole thing. They power washed the brick on the house and did a lot of work. Then the paint crew came in and spent 3 days painting everything but the garage doors. (I am shopping for new garage doors). The people to deal with are Logan and Ryan. I talked to them extensively in pricing out the project and during the process. I think the pricing was fair.

I am extremely pleased with the work we had done by Neighborhood Painting. As other reviewers have said, they are not the least expensive company but they did such a fantastic job, my husband and I feel the price we paid was very fair. We had our whole house painted outside. The prep crew arrived and the team lead had us walk around the entire house to verify the work to be done. The crew put in a full three days prepping the house which involved a lot of caulking and wood rot repair and replacing some siding panels. I cannot tell you how impressed we were with the crew's work ethic and professionalism. Same with the paint crew. They worked two long days and did a great job. Again so impressed with the care they took to protect our screens and our patio to be sure there was no over-splatter on these surfaces. We had one small issue after they finished that I felt needed a little more work. I contacted the owner, Ryan, and he immediately responded that he would send someone out to take care of the matter to our satsfaction. The house looks fantastic and I have no reservations about giving the highest recommendation of this company.

They sent a pregnant girl and her boy friend to my home instead of a painting crew. What does to take to get good workers and good companies now?????????

Being a sceptic I was surprised that what was in this company website advertisement is true. I am completely satisfied how the process was well organized. Work scheduling for both prep and painting crews was done considering my time frame goals. Project procedures were completed with great quality and high attention to details. During the project time, communication was aligned based on the almost immediate phone call and within 1-2 hours’ email response. I would recommend this team to my friends.

We chose Neighborhood Painting based Angie’s list feedback, expecting that their highest estimated price would be paralleled with a contentious job/level of service. A selling point for Neighborhood Painting was the promised communication through the project. Noticeable absence of Ryan’s involvement was frustrating, especially as problems continued to present themselves. Ryan was never on site and was rarely heard from aside from a few brief reply emails. I requested that windows would be washed, but was told I did so too late in the project. Ryan sent the message down that it wasn’t cost effective to complete the cleaning, however I was still invoiced for that work. The charge was removed when Ryan was reminded that that portion of the work wasn’t complete. Other complaints include window screens shredded by power washing, wiring left exposed on the side of the house, trash left in the guttering, paint spots on both the roof and newly-stained deck, grass-killing paint spill, plus a paint spill left in my new rock garden. Very disappointed with Neighborhood Painting's lack of professionalism. All pictures attached are current with the posting of this review.

Both the prep and painting work went very well. Both crews were prompt onto the job site each day, with a supervisor to get the work started, and check-backs to be sure the work was proceeding correctly. The crew members were courteous and friendly, and considerate with our occasional interruptions or questions. The job site was cleaned of trash and residue each day they worked. As they finished, they went back over some areas that needed more paint. On the last day, we did a walk around with the supervisor to be sure we were satisfied with results.

Talked with Ryan and he followed me through the entire process easily. They were able to schedule a smaller job, like mine, after the 4th of July holiday and the guys that showed up were timely, friendly, and did a great job on the paint. They're worth the Angie's List rating, without question.
