Century Roofing

I have my home for sale and a buyers inspector had concerns for the condition of the roof. Mary came our, inspected the roof and provided a very competitive and though proposal for replacement of the roof. We have since negotaited with the buyer that they will take care of any inspection issues but If I were to have the work performed, Marty and Century Roofing would be the contractor.

Provided quote in timely manner. Answered all questions and gave suggestions. The roof was installed in the timeframe they promised. Cleaned the property of all debris each day. Looks great. Very pleased with the work.

The guys from Century were in and out like surgeons, and no more leak! They even spotted some potential for future issues and headed them off. The price was quite reasonable.

The roof looks great, there are no leaks and they were done in one day. I have nothing negative to say.

First, this is a qualified rave review. I need a good, hard rain to field test the roof. James told me that if there are leaks (and neither of us think there will be), Century Roofing will come out and fix the roof. James was very pleasant to work with. He had to put up with a lot from me, too. He coped beautifully with my lack of voice (due to an extremely sore throat) when we were discussing Century Roofing's bid. Later, I delayed the actual construction because I was too sick to deal with anything. James just adjusted the schedule without complaint. Our homeowners association requires very specific shingles and has some other requirements; James had no trouble (or at least no trouble he chose to tell me about) dealing with the homeowners association's requirements. Century Roofing gave us the low bid of the three bids we received. My husband and I were surprised and impressed that the low bid was the most detailed of the three bids. Century Roofing's bid was also the only one to mention obtaining a waiver of lien afterwards. Waivers of lien are easy to forget, so I was impressed they were mentioned. The roofers came when as promised with the materials we had chosen. The crew seemed professional and hard working. The old roof was torn off and the new roof was installed in less than two days. My husband was nervous because a small area of the roof was left uncovered overnight, but we are in a drought and no rain was predicted. The crew cleaned up well when they finished. We were surprised and pleased when another employee of Century Roofing came to run through the work space with his magnet the next day. (Please remember these are some of the shortest days of the year, so the roofers absolutely had to stop working by 5 p.m. each day just for their own safety's sake.) James told me as he examined our roof for the bid that we should have had soffit vents to keep good airflow in our attic. The other two bidders said the same thing, so I believe this was true. James brought the soffit vents over. I had misunderstood about their need for painting, but the soffit vents were not difficult to paint with leftover housepaint we have on hand. James gave me the weekend to get the soffit vents painted, so it was no real hardship. As promised, the carpenters came and installed the soffit vents last Monday. Yesterday the skylight was replaced while I was not home. So, the job was finished with a minimum of disruption and the opportunity to deal with a group of very pleasant and professional employees. Now I need the rainstorm to be sure about the roof's condition, but, if I don't write another review about this roof, it will mean that all went well. The new roof looks great. It certainly does not look like we'll have problems, but a rainstorm will give us the definite proof.

I think despite the weather delays they did a great job. Dos Be specific about what you want in your email or phone call. They will drive by before the scheduled appointment and provide an estimate at the initial meeting. I would get a definition of bad weather, as in high winds. Just so you know what would cause a delay. Confirm communication if there are delays. Other than that the process was very smooth, there are no specific do's or don'ts. I would definately get the Angie's list coupon as it will save you a few hundred dollars off the price of the replacement roof.

We were displeased with the amount of clean-up we had to do each day after they left. It took 2 weeks to complete the job, compared to the 3 to 4 days estimated. The resulting roof is fine but had we known then what we now know,we would have gone with a different company and paid the extra $500-$600. Upon completion of the vents in the soffets, for which we waited a week ,they arrived at our door wanting a check within 10 minutes.

I interviewed 5 roofing companies and without Angie's List I would not have known who to select for those initial interviews. While they all talked a good story and seemed equally reliable I went with Century because their overall prices were the best and their follow up service seemed the best, They showed up on time and worked as I was told until late in the day. This being my first ever roof replacement I was somewhat ignorant about the whole process and while they seemed a little messier and noiser than necessary. When finished they did a great job on cleanup and and while they damaged a few things in our yard they were very generous with their replacement. Their after finished work as been great as they have had to come back a couple of times to fix things. I would use Century Roofing again and would recommend them to anyone else.

We are very happy with the work. We had another company tell us that we needed a whole new roof. Century Roofing came and told us we still had a couple good years and they could just do some repairs. They came out the same day we called them. We haven't had any troubles since they have done the work.

They came within two days of requesting an estimate. Theirs was the lowest with the Angie's lsit deal they offered PLUS they received excellent reviews so Century was the obvious choice. The crew was out with a week and finished the job in one day! They were friendly and polite. The clean-up was thorough and quick. A staff member from Century came out the next day to look around one more time for more needed clean-up. The job was done well and I would recommend their service.

The rep was very professional and thorough. I have recommend this company to friends as well .

I did not end up purchasing this home but will call this company in the near future on another home.

Marty and his team at Century roofing were prompt, they worked quickly and efficiently and the did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. They also submitted the lowest bid out of four local roofing companies. I would recommend them to anyone!

I had a very good experience using Century to do a full reroof of my two story house. Nothing was damaged and we don't have any leaks. The price was fully covered by insurance. I would recommend them to friends and family.

The entire job went very well from beginning to end. We would use Century again without hesitation. Even our mortgage company inspector commented on a what a great job Century did with the roof - very professional!

They told me I did not need any repairs to my roof. It went excellent. I liked the fact that they were very honest.

I recommend them and give them all A's. I will use them again in the future to put a new front door on my house.

Century Roofing, and sales rep Aaron M. were great to work with. I received a quote within 48 hours of my initial call. Aaron was very responsive to calls and questions. Their bid was the second lowest I received and they adjusted it to be closer to the low bid. The work started just two days after closing the deal. The crew worked 12 hours on day one and finished the next day. I made a punch list of 8-10 fixes/issues and the crew chief walked around with me and had most of them addressed with a couple of days. Was really pleased when the crew chief came back a day or two later and re-did some flashing he wasn't happy with. I have one or two small issues with the final work, but overall, the roof looks really good. Clean up was pretty good, but not excellent. Overall, Century did a great job!

I called Century Roofing after watching them install a roof for my next door neighbors. There sales person was very prompt to come out and give an estimate. Once I gave Skyler (sales person) the go ahead, I didn't hear back from the company for about a month. I called them again only to find out that Skyler had left the company. They immediately put me in touch with Kyle who apologized for the delay and for not getting back with me. The next day, Kyle was at my door and introduced himself and told me if I had any problems call him. Within a week materials were delivered and work began. The roofers work in very hot weather and did take breaks during the hottest part of the day. The job took three days. I would use this company again. Our area was hit by a hail storm and everyone in the neighborhood was getting roofs. I'm giving some flexibiltky here because of the storm. I also had some staining on my garage ceiling because it rained on one of the days and water leaked on to drywall . I mention this to Kyle and the next day they had painter out that took care of the problem. We have had zero problems with roof since its replacement.

These folks do really great work, only knock was on the expectation management side regarding when the trash and trailer would be removed, but overall they do fantastic work.

Kyle was great. He listened to my wife and found the color and style we wanted [always a good thing when the wife is happy!] We were extremely lucky to get weather that allowed us to get dried in mid-winter and his crew took full advantage and jumped right on it. We have had some very high winds these past few weeks and all shingles are intact and repelling rain. Confidence is high that this roof will look good and last a long time.

Century Roofing did an excellent job. I definitely recommend them. Their price was the best out of eleven bids. They impressed me.

It went pretty well. I was home throughout the job. They came on time and cleaned up before they left for the day. The sales person was very easy to work with as well. I will be using them again this year.
