He’s really easy to work with, very fair priced and punctual. When he says he’s going to there, he’s there. They cleaned up after themselves. They do very good work. I really appreciate it.

The old Pine tree that has stood in our front yard for over 70 years and reached a height of around 60 feet, succumbed to either the extreme drought the Midwest just went through, or some sort of disease. We'll never know. Many Pines in the area suffered the same fate. I've used another local tree service, on another occasion, because they were recommended by my insurance carrier. Should have known better, but that's another story. This time I hired Abernathy Tree Service. I asked for an estimate. Mr. Fred Abernathy showed up the next day and gave me an estimate on the spot. I got a second estimate that was actually less than Mr. Abernathy's bid. I'm at the age where I just don't put up with hassles anymore. Keep it safe, keep it simple. Abernathy's Tree Service is a quality "Icon" in the Kansas City area. They've been around for a long, long time. I told Mr. Abernathy I'd appreciate it if he'd do the job. He told me it might be 2 to 3 weeks before they could get to it. I was willing to wait. A few days ago, Mr. Abernathy called me and told me they would be here on the 20th. They showed up bright and early on the 20th and began work. No tree climbing here! Everything was handled by 1 man (Dave Abernathy) in a 60 ft. "Cherry Picker". A second truck, with a boom mounted on it, lowered a cable to the ground and the crew stretched it across the yard. The limbs and trunk sections were piled up across this cable. The loose end of the cable was then wrapped back over the debris, and re-connected to the main cable via a hook. The boom then picked up the pile and effortlessly deposited it's load into the bed of a second truck. This was all very impressive, but what blew my mind was the effort made by the whole crew to clean up after the job. It was 95 degrees, but they swept and raked every inch of my neighbor's and my property. I was very impressed. They were gone by 2:30 PM. I should mention that the entire crew was very friendly and respectful; a rare commodity these days. All in all, a very pleasant experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone - without reservation!
