I came home from work one day recently to find the drain in my laundry room backed up. It smelled awful and did not look good. I called a company I found on Angie’s List. That technician from that company told me this particular drain is difficult to clean and the problem is usually from something more extensive (break in pipe or tree limb obstruction). He suggested I call a company who has the ability to put a camera down the drain (he did not have a camera). However, he would have to charge me if he attempted to clean the drain and was unsuccessful. Therefore, he suggested I pay a technician who has a camera and can look down the drain and provide me with a more accurate assessment of what was going on. I thanked him for his time and returned to Angie’s List. This round I found Paul Vielhauer Plumbing. I sent a message to Paul via Angie’s List. I explained the situation and asked him to let me know if he could fix something like this. He replied within 24 hours with a message asking me to call him so we could discuss the issue. When I called his company, I talked to a very kind and helpful person. She told me the first technician gave me incorrect information. She explained before any camera can go into a drain, the drain would have to be cleaned so the camera can see what’s going on. Therefore, no matter what was going on, I would have to have the drain cleaned out. Then she continued to explain this is not uncommon for this particular drain to have this particular problem (she knew which drain it was before I told her). She mentioned 98% of the time having the drain cleaned will resolve the issue. She also told me her company does not have a camera small enough to go into that drain and cleaning drains is not their area of expertise (they fix the broken pipes, tree obstructions, etc.…). We ended the conversation with her offering their services if that was needed. She wished me good luck and I was grateful for the education and honesty. Thank you Paul Vielhauer Plumbing. I returned to Angie’s List for the 3rd time and I found AAAce Drain and Sewer Cleaning. Chris Groves came out the next day. Chris came, he conquered, he left. He did all of it in about 30 minutes and it was affordable! Chris Groves from AAAce Drain is my hero. I would definitely recommend him. He was friendly, he was professional, he explained the situation clearly and concisely, he worked efficiently and effectively. Thank you Chris!!

Had a home inspection done by a potential buyer of my home. As part of the inspection, they hired someone to inspect the sewer pipes. They used a very small camera and discovered some roots in the pipe that 'blocked" the camera from going further. This, of course, had me very nervous that I might have to spend $$$$ for a sewer repair. My realtor, The Bash Group, recommended Chris with AAAce Drain Cleaning to come out and roto rooter the sewer pipe. Chris was very responsive and got back to me quickly. We set up a time to meet the next business day. He called to make sure someone was at the house and let me know he was on his way. He arrived right on time at the agreed upon time. Very knowledgeable, state of the art camera system and router. very personable and friendly. Extremely conscientious about keeping things clean when he brought the machinery into the basement. Took about 40 minutes. He explained everything he was doing and answered all my questions. Quite literally saved me thousands. Fair and reasonable pricing. I highly recommend Chris and AAAce Drain Cleaning and will only use him in the future.

I have always had nothing but the best because they settle for nothing but the best back up ever thing they do I wouldn't have any one else we have two property's so have use them allot. nothing but a 10 every time.

Chris ran a camera down the line and recorded what he saw. He identified and explained the problem that had led to a main line backup, recommended a solution, emailed a link to the video to a contractor he recommended who will do the excavation and pipe replacement. The quote I received from that contractor is several thousand dollars less than a quote that I received from a large nationally known company. Chris was very knowledgeable and professional. I plan to use him again and recommend the company to others.

Called AAAce Drain Cleaning for an awful basement drain backup that left sewer water standing in my basement. Chris, the owner, came to the rescue within a couple of hours of my call. He was very professional, got right to work solving the problem, explained the process step by step and gave us tips on what to look out for in the future. Not only did Chris do a great job quickly clearing the drain, he used our hose to clean up the basement floor! I called Chris and he said he could come out the next day. He called 30 minutes before his scheduled arrival time and said he was on his way. He arrived within 25 minutes of the call. He worked from the basement and used two different pieces of equipment to remove the blockage from the drain. The house is over 65 years old and the pipes contained a lot of sludge. We had another company out two days earlier and the technician was unable to clear the drain; he told us we would have to dig up the concrete floor in the basement and install new plumbing. Needless to say, we were delighted when Chris was able to clear the blockage for us. He is very pleasant and polite and wants to do right by his customers. Chris took his time and persevered until the drain was completely clear. His service charge was very reasonable, less than half the price quoted by the previous technician who was unable to clear the blockage. Chris also offered suggestions on how to keep the drain running clear and prevent future blockages. We are extremely grateful to him for his excellent service. We will recommend him to anyone who needs drain cleaning.

Chris responded quickly to my email and set a time to come the next morning. He gave a courtesy call when enroute and arrived on time. He is extremely knowledgeable. I frankly had little hope that he would be able to help me after what I had been told the day before by the plumber, but...the drain is open! He went the extra mile and let three washer loads of water spin through to be sure nothing was going to back up, and did a walk through in the basement to be sure the bathroom and small kitchen in the basement were not backing up, and that everything was flowing smoothly before he left. He impressed me as a very professional and ethical businessman, and does not run your bill up doing unnecessary and expensive work. He also has the correct equipment, knowledge and expertise to do the job right. Since this is not the first issue I've had with this particular drain, and it has caused a large amount of stress for me, I would like to try and prevent it from recurring once and for all. I plan to have Chris come back and use his camera equipment to go into the larger pipe on up the line so that he can accurately diagnose the cause and see if there is additional clearing he can do on the larger pipe, or if he can recommend anything else to prevent this problem. I would highly recommend Aace Drain to my friends and neighbors and will call them first for plumbing needs.

Very happy with this company. A husband wife team came out the same day we called, did a great job, and gave helpful hints to avoid needing service calls in the future. I've had 2 other companies out previously, and they told me there was nothing we could do because we had "old pipes" instead of working to solve the problem. This company had the expertise and desire to do the job right.

The service was professional from my initial call. I was able to get same day service, but was disappointed that I wasn't given an idea/window of time that a repairman might be at my house. When delays occurred, I was notified I was still "next in line", but it the previous job was taking longer than expected. This was really appreciated. Chris arrived to do the needed work. He assessed the situation and explained what the work entailed. He was friendly, courteous, completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned up before leaving. The price was very reasonable for the work performed. I've had several poor experiences with plumbing services in the past, but was impressed with Chris and the work he did. I will use him again! If you're time schedule is flexible enough to be tied to the house for the day, it's well worth the wait!

We were extremely pleased with the service, the technician's honesty and willingness to explain everything. A previous company gave us an estimate close to 500.00 and services that weren't necessary.

Chris was very responsive. We called one evening and he was here by 10:30 the next morning. Explained what the problem was, ran his "snake" out 100 feet and cleared the obstructions about 50 feet and 65 feet out. (tree roots) Closed the hole in the pipe and cleaned up when he was finished. Very pleasant. The price was very fair. I was happy.
