There were no Mike George employees. All work was subcontracted out. Seemed as though no one ever knew what was to be installed or performed as requetsed by us...the buyer. We had requested front steps be wide, and came by and found the steps were only three feet wide. Those had to be removed and repoured. Upon the second day of moving in, the dishwasher overflowed and the water ran all night. It flooded through the kitchen floor into the basement. The carpet was ruined, and the water was so high it has stained the custom wood cabinet. It was a hassle getting the problem resolved. The plumber blamed the dishwasher and the diswasher blamed the plumber. We finally had to get mad and tell Mike George we wanted the dishwasher taken out and a new one installed. We kept having mice and we found a hole in the concrete foundation that was improperly set that came clear though into the house and that is where the mice were coming in. We had to have that repaired at our expense. We moved in during the month of October and the folloing April, we had termites. We were never asked if we wanted the ground treated prior to the house being built at a minimal additional charge; therefore, the entire house inside and out had to be treated for termites at our expense again. The shower door was installed through the sheet rock and not into the studs resulting in the shower door wobbling. We have had to replace windows as the windows installed were defective from the beginning. We have had to replace defective siding. We have had to replace supporting posts for the deck and have now found out the deck is not to code. The only quality in this house is the custom cabinets we specifically ordered and paid for ourselves as well as the carpet we picked out and had installed and paid for by us. We did not feel like dealing with a lawsuit at the time; however, we now wish we had since we thought we were getting something better than we paid for. The overall quality is very poor. The date you sign a paper, any problems was turned over to Pro Home and they are another bad story. It is sad that a builder does not stand behind his own work or his name. We would never use this builder or recommend this builder.
Description of Work: Our home was built by Mike George Homes from foundation up...inside and out. We loved the floor plan, but the construction is and was very poor inside and out.
