Jason came as scheduled to the house and brought an assistant with him for the job. It went very badly and was the worst experience I have ever had with a hired contractor for home repair. Although the bid was the lowest I received(of 3) halfway through the job Jason came to the door and asked for an increase in payment over the estimate($50) which I paid as it seemed as if they were working hard completing the project. I was actually planning on tipping twice this as the bid was $200 less than the competition. A few days after the job was completed we had the first rain and I realized that the crown had been replaced improperly, grading towards the house so water was collecting which in a very short time could cause a serious wood rot/support problem. I notified Jason of the problem and received a response that he would schedule a time to come fix the error. After 6 months, 5+ emails and multiple phone calls Jason has not come back to repair the issue. At one point I called him from a home phone number that he was not aware of, he answered and made several excuses for not responding. I then scheduled a time in for a Tuesday where he could come fix it in the morning and he no call no showed after I specifically took off of work to meet him. In addition to this horror story I have learned that the wood rot repair on the front door was completed improperly as well. When they removed the rotted wood they cut through into the interior of the house and damaged some of the trim around the interior along with cracking the frame near the window creating an expensive problem to fix. Jason is NOT RECOMMENDED and is dishonest.
