Nate's Service

This happened last summer. His price was very competetive and he started the job when he said he would. The quality of work was fair to good.I do not have anyone to compare him to as this is the first time I have used a sprinkler service. Everything worked ok. I expected the appearance of the finish work to be a little neater. Overall I received a quality job at a decent price.

Nate sometimes has to work a shorter day when it is his turn to pick up his children from school - but he always would inform me of when that would be and was good at calling everyday to inform me of his schedule. He even worked on a weekend in order to get the job done. There were stumbling blocks from the first when we found out our electrical box wouldn't accommodate hooking up the well. Nate was able to call on electrician contacts he knew and had one come on his own time to meet with Nate and figure out how to make it work for us. Next, Nate had to do extra trenching because we had wanted this well put on the far side of the driveway and he now had to run his lines under the driveway - and he did it without hesitation - whatever we wanted. The real nightmare began when he tried to hookup our sprinkler sytem to the well pump. There was so much sand in the water that it kept shutting down the pump. Nate had to pull out all of his skills and knowledge to try and resolve the problem - which meant replacing parts and adding parts, over and over again. Never once did he give up or walk out on the job - for 2 weeks he came almost everyday to try and fix our problems. (The well company remained hidden during this time and let Nate be the one carrying the load.) Finally, Nate had exhausted every trick in the book to fix our system and it failed. So HE went to the original well drilling company and got them to come back and redrill a new well, deeper than the first. And Nate informed me there would be no additional charge to us for any of this extra work needed. That was just part of doing the job. This new well was what finally turned things around - Nate stayed extra hours on the final day making sure everything was in prime working order. During this 2 weeks, he had to give up personal time and also rearrange many of his other work jobs because of the extra time spent on our yard. In spite of the frustrations, he always remained polite, respectful and really cared about getting things fixed up right for us. He went beyond the norm of many contractors we've worked with before - he didn't keep track and charge us for hours worked - he believed you work a job until it is done to the satisfaction of the customer no matter what that takes. A neighbor referred Nate to us because she and 4 other of her family members have used him with great satisfaction over the years. Now he has more fans on this block because we will not hesitate to use him again.
