About us

Brochamwood Tree Care provides a wide range of tree and shrub health care services specifically tailored to the climate and soils of Central Kansas. Our company was founded in 1982 as Tom Bunn, while working for Hesston Corporation in the office and grounds department, completed his Kansas Arborist Association training course in association with the Kansas State University Department of Horticulture and Extension Services. He became a Certified Arborist by the KAA in January of 1983 and established his first clients with friends he worked with at Hesston Corporation in Hesston KS. His wife Connie was instrumental in supporting this new venture and daily worked in the field with pruning and removal jobs, equipment maintenance, tree and shrub spraying and injecting, customer relations and planning. Our company does not use subcontractors. Licensed by Kansas Department of Agriculture pest control catagories 3A & 3B. 3 arborists are Kansas Arborist Asssociation certified and are either certified applicators or registered pest control technicians. Charges are based on the hours needed to complete the job per arborist on site and any equipment needed above the basic tools. Bucket truck use is charged by the hour in quarter hour increments. Trip charges are based on the time to leave the site at the end of the day and dump the debris generated. Debris removal equipment such as an extra log truck and the Posi-track ASV with Implemax grapple/winch is added as a per hour rate. Spraying for disease and insect control is based on either gallons used of the particular product needed or a minimum charge of usually less than $59. Injection prices are based on the doses needed calculated by the size of the tree, usually made by measuring the tree diameter or circumference. Common problems are prevented by injections or infusions of excellent products that provide a barrier to pests. Mauget tree health products provide a broad spectrum of university and field tested products all approved by the EPA. At least one of our experienced arborists makes an appointment at your request and performs an initial visit to determine the health and needs of your trees and shrubs. Billing for spraying and injections is done by leaving an invoice at the residence with total charges along with time of day, wind speed, rate of application and gallons used. Billing for pruning and removals is usually sent by either USPS or email.

They were very professional and showed up on time. They came and did their job and then they left.
Description of Work: We used Brochamwood Tree Care for tree removal and trimming. They walked around the property and examined the trees. They came shaped trees and hauled a tree out.
