I contacted mr Cole about repairing both of my computers, first the desktop. He kept it a week longer than anticipated (soccer season for his children I believe). That would have been fine with me if he had returned any of the phone calls and informed me. Given an hourly rate, I was concerned as each day ticked by. Eventually he did bring back the desktop, I had asked that if it couldn't be repaired, could he take the pictures off because there was some on there of my mother and she has since passed. He said no problem, he would download them to my laptop. When he took it, he said it sounded like the hard drive and it should be an easy fix. When he brought it back, he said it was the motherboard and there was nothing he could do b but would still retrieve the pictures for me. That job was $85.00. Next he took the laptop, it is an older model, he said he could speed it up and"de-junk"it for me. The only thing that is faster about the laptop since it was returned are the error messages and the requests to reboot. When he took the laptop, he said he would return it on Tuesday. I called and stayed at home on Tuesday. I called on Wednesday and Thursday. He returned the phone calls on Friday and said that his answering machine was not working properly. I let him know that I had left the messages with his WIFE. I phoned him and left a message with a machine this time, and told him I was very dissatisfied with the service and I had hoped he hadn't cashed the check yet. He returned my call to the answering machine spouting his creditentials and that he had done everything that was possible although he did guarantee his work for two weeks, he would come back up to work on the lap top but there really wasn't anything else that could be done. He was intimidating and demeaning on that message and no way was I going to let him back into my home. I did not check his creditentials, but his people skills are definitely lacking and should be addressed as soon as possible. He didn't keep to the time schedules he set. He didn't stay within the estimates. I don't know what else he could have done to make a worse impression.
Description of Work: IMr. Cole was contacted about repairing first my desktop, then my lap top. Neither was highly sucessful. He was not able to stick to his time-estimate of completion of work, nor did he return numerous phonecalls when I was trying to check the status. You can expect couirteous and respectful interactions while setting up the work orders but after that it is a dr jekyll and mr hyde thing going on. I will not contact this person again for any reason.

Response from Eric Cole
Member did contact me about her Desktop computer. I diagnose the computer. The computer had a bad motherboard. I called Member and told her the problem. I explained to her that it would be cheaper to buy a new computer than replace the motherboard. The first time I talked to her she said to fix it. So I searched for a Motherboard. The next day she called and said that she didn't want the Motherboard. So I took the computer back to her. I picked up her laptop. I ran through all of the malware and virus protection. The laptop was running a lot faster than it was when I got it from her. I gave it back and said if there is a problem I would come back and fix it for free, which is my 2 week policy. A week later she called my house and left an irate message on my answering machine talking about I didn't know how to fix either one of her computers and that she wanted her money back. I did call her back and let her know that I have been doing this kind of work for years. If she wanted to resolve this she could have called me without the attitude and I would have went back to her house for free. I feel she got the job done and wants her money back. I am not the person she is making me out to be.
