We purchased a modular home from Clayton Homes in Wichita KS and through them they hired Larry Wiens Contractor to build a full walkout basement and prepare the site and finish the site of the home. Mr. Wiens hired K & L Foundations to build the basement, K & L Foundations sub-contracted the basement floor out to Scott Garrison. After we moved in Feb 22, 2013 (floor was poured Nov 2012) we started seeing major cracks in the basement floor and contacted Clayton homes, they told us to contact K & L Foundation, both Scott Garrison and K & L Foundation came to our house in April of 2013 and seen how the floor was not finished, had pits in the concrete and was un-level in a few places. The floor itself looked like a spider web. We got an email a month later from Mr. Garrison that he would refund us $300. or he would come out and just smooth out the un-evenness of the floor. Our floor is the worst that 3 contractors that we have had come to our house had seen and they all told us that the floor was done with a hot load and should have been taken out and repoured. They all told us that the floor was not finished also, saying that is why there is ridges in the floor from the wheels of the smoother. We have not had this fixed yet. Clayton homes is still telling us that they are gonna help us but have yet to do so. I would give K & L foundations and F, Clayton Homes a F and Larry Wiens a F if I could. Buyer Beware!

started out great he was referred to us by a family acquaintance, we thought the bid was reasonable, but when he showed up to do the work he had 3 or 4 high school boys with him and they did 90% of the work!! Needless to say, it did not turn out to look like it was supposed to EXCEPT for the slab foundation for the garage the owner did that work himself and it turned out nicely! The rest of the concrete (the driveway extension) has already started to pit and chip and its only 2 MONTHS OLD!! He tried to prevent further damage by putting a sealer on it and that didn't turn out so great either!! My husband told him we simply will not pay you what the bid was because we didn't expect this kind of work!! Also, before we hired him we did check with the Better Business Bureau and found nothing on him there!!
