Shelby was very quick and professional. He came out same day to squeeze us in and patch a large hole in our wall. We appreciated his quickness and willing to accommodate us.

Shelby and his team with Excellence in Drywall were a pleasure to work with. Bid, timing and workmanship was spot on. Excellence in Drywall removed and repaired walls in a number of rooms, removed tile back splash, removed popcorn ceiling, re textured both ceilings and walls, and completed with a paint job in our 3300 square foot home. Shelby as my 5 year old son says "saved the day" when he pointed out and cut a non load bearing wall when our plumber was suggesting to off center our shower fixture due to a beam that was interfering with the plumbing. Shelby also, cleaned up after a few of our not so "excellent" sub contractors from no shows to plumbing leaks while I was unexpectedly in and out of the hospital for a few days. He didn't even call me to worry me about it. Shelby is not only excellent sub contractor but also, an asset to our remodel. We went from liking our home to loving it. Our home looks fantastic!

The house is an 1880's historic home and nothing is square or standard. The crew did an amazing job, arrived promptly at 8 am and worked until 4pm with only a 30 minute lunch break. It looks amazing now! Would definitely hire Shelby Smith and his crew to work on the house again.

Quicker than I had anticipated. Very punctual, professional and neat. The walls and floor were enclosed in a plastic bubble that resulted in minimal cleanup. The ceiling looks great. I am very satisfied. I recommend this company and if needed, will hire them again.

If you need a drywall guy in the Wichita area, call Shelby at Excellence in Drywall! HE IS AMAZING. Over the past four years we've had no less than a dozen bids to fix our basement. Each time we tried to hire someone they never showed up or called back (probably scared off by the amount of work needing to be done.) Some of the bids were also RIDICULOUS. Shelby not only gave us a VERY fair price (after 12 bids you know what a reasonable bid should be), he SHOWED UP EVERY SINGLE TIME HE SAID HE WOULD, was VERY PROFESSIONAL, and did an AMAZING JOB transforming our basement. Since it was a pretty big job, he was in and out of our house several times over a period of weeks. He was great about communicating the days/times he would be coming (a strength not all contractors have.) He also came right back after I paid him to ask me to write a new check because I accidentally overpaid a tiny bit!! Seriously. Hire Shelby. We've dealt with our share of contractors who take advantage, raise their prices after starting a job, don't show up when they're supposed to, or do a terrible job, but people like Shelby help me keep the faith that there are still good, hard working, ethical people out there. Now, with the job finished after a frustrating four years of trying to get it done, I'm actually glad that none of the other contractors ever worked out, because I honestly can't imagine anyone else matching the quality of service that he provided. We not only have EXCELLENT DRYWALL, but we had an excellent experience with him as well! Thanks, Shelby!

By far one of the best experiences with a contractor I have had so far. They arrived on time and worked very quickly. I will definitely be calling them back next time I need drywall work done.

From start to finish, this was a great experience. Highly recommend Shelby for any drywall job. Professional and punctual, we will definitely be contacting him again for future project.

The project took about a week and looks great. We are very pleased. The guys did a great job taping off the existing wood beams and creating a bubbled work area. The drywall removal and patching took about a day and the taping and mudding took about three days. The sanding and dust were very minimal due to the great drywall finishing. The mess was very well contained in the work area. The priming and painting took part of one more day. The guys were polite and courteous. I would not hesitate to recommend Excellence in Drywall. We plan to use them on future remodeling projects in our house.

He was great! He called the day after I purchased the deal and came over to see what needed done. I was on a time crunch (moving) and he was busy, but he worked us in over the course of several days and got the job done. GREAT person to work with and would definitely call again.

I was contacted the next day after I requested a bid. Shelby indicated he would look at the job on one of two days. He did not make it on those days but came the day after. I received a written bid via e-mail within a couple of days. I did not get other bids. We communicated mostly by text and e-mail which was just fine with me. He gave me a few dates on which he might be able to do the job. It ended up being the latter dates. The actual work was done by one of his employees who was friendly but professional. The quality of the finished job was very good especially considering he was finishing what I had started. The final cost was the bid cost. Overall I am pleased with the whole process and would recommend this company to others.

Much to my surprise they showed up on a Sunday morning. In and out in 2.5 hours. The bid included the materials. He showed up the next 3 days for finish work. Wonderful work. What a great company. they picked up the pieces from a poor contractor and delivered a good job quickly, Shelby is a talented craftsman and a good guy! sorry it took this long to find time to post my recommendations, building a house in addition to my day job is quite time consuming. I cant say enough good things about this team!

I called Excellence In Drywall on short notice and had the job done quickly and beautifully. Shelby came out to see what needed to be done on a Monday afternoon, gave me an estimate Monday night, showed up promptly Tuesday morning and left my kitchen with new walls before noon. Shelby was neat and courteous. I was so impressed by his work that I felt compelled to tip him; I've never done that to any other contractor.

Replaced sheetrock and textured the walls in three rooms in my basement as well as repaired several areas in the basement ceiling with sheetrock.

This was done on McConnell AFB and it was of course difficult to get into the base and Mr. Smith was willing to go through all the hoops to get access to both do the initial quote and then come back to finish the job. He was extremely professional and in fact on the first visit had to come out several times to finally get access to the base. He followed up and then we scheduled for some time later and he kept the scheduled date and sent pictures throughout the process to let me know how it was going. This was especially important since my company is in Georgia and the repair is in Kansas. I am very appreciative to find a person that is as great as Mr. Smith to do the job, as I knew it would be difficult, if not impossible to find a person in another state to do the work. It is so hard to know who you can trust and this is especially important on a military base and again Mr. Smith was a great find. I would highly recommend his services whether in Kansas or if calling from another state.

Shelby responded quickly to my call, provided an estimate by email, and we arranged a day and time for him to repair the wall. He arrived on time and did a great job. He arrived on time the second day to sand it smooth, and left a clean area. He is personable, hard-working, honest and knowledgable. I have a ceiling repair I'm planning for the fall, and will also keep his number programmed into my phone for the future in case we need drywall work while renovating our 1973 home. It's a relief to have a competent, nice person to call for home repair work!

They came by and quoted the job next day. Services were performed as stated and on schedule. Quality of work was excellent!
