Shelby does excellent work! The repairs were done on time, he showed up on time, he draped the area to keep the dust to a minimum, he did a great job cleaning up! I highly recommend this company!!!

From his initial bid to the completion of the project, Shelby was professional and helpful. He exposed some mold on the concrete after the drywall was removed. Not only did he notify me, but also volunteered to spray bleach on the walls for me. I felt this was above and beyond my expectations. He always arrived when he said he would-which was very important to me. The drywall looks great-and I would highly recommend his work!

Like always Shelby was very accommodating with the schedule and my requests. It was a quality job done in a short period of time. This was a bigger job than the last one because most of the basement had to be cordoned off. I can't even tell where the old popcorn in the basement starts in the work that Shelby did begins. It was an excellent bending job. The job in the master bedroom was done great. All the touchups and the knockdown is a great improvement on what it used to look like. There was very little dust left in any of my rooms. He did an excellent job keeping the workspace separated from the rest of the house. I have some trouble with contractors from time to time because they can be spacey and forgetful. That's not the case with Shelby. He's on the ball. I look forward to using Excellence in Drywall again in the future.

Shelby was easy to work with, responsive and accomodating on schedule and he and his team were professional. They did a quality job and did it fast. I will most certainly use Excellence in Drywall again.

I couldn't be happier with the job. Shelby & company delivered on all counts. There were lots of wraps with corner bead, arched art niches, knockdown ceiling, etc... Their work is better than the original drywall work done when we had our house built. Shelby even fixed the old work that transitioned into the new. It's obvious that they take great pride in their work. The job was completed as planned, on schedule and at the quoted price. I will definitely call Excellence In Drywall for any future projects and would Highly Recommend them to all. True Craftsmen.

The previous installers missed the stud, but taped the seam anyway. Shelby fixed the problem and several other locations around the walls. He did excellent work and was very professional.

Excellence in Drywall is at the top of our list as far as contractors go in our experience remodeling our kitchen. Shelby was timely in providing a quote, started the work when we needed him to, did an excellent job in the work itself, was great in communicating daily start times and updates on the project, finished the job ahead of schedule, was accommodating with changes, and completed the project at a reasonable price. We would highly recommend Excellence in Drywall.

They were able to come and do my job quicker than expected due to another job not being ready and also was able to complete the job in one day where I was expecting at least 2 days. They were punctual, professional and did a great job!

Shelby was very quick in all areas of contact (initial phone call, estimating, scheduling). We had a fairly large job and all components were handled professionally and in the time specified. I have 4 young children and was able to have this work done with all the loads that come with parenting with absolutely no hiccups. We have 2 more rooms to finish in the basement and we will definitely use them again. I am one to receive multiple estimates from reputable businesses and Shelby was not the very cheapest but by far the best priced for the quality I received, our home is a new build and they were able to match the corners and bull nose molding perfectly. Highly recommend!!

After ripping out some old tile and vanities in our bathrooms, large sections of the drywall needed to be replaced. I patched in new panels and attempted to tape and mud the splices myself, but it was not looking as good as I hoped. I also installed two new sheets of drywall surrounding the fireplace in the living room after ripping out the old tile. I called Shelby and he came out a couple of days later (on Christmas Eve) and repaired all of my work. He was able to finish the complete job in a single day and kept everything incredibly clean. He created a big bubble around the fireplace in the living room to contain all the dust. He also sealed off the bathrooms with plastic and kept the house dust-free. The drywall is incredibly smooth and professionally finished. There are no indications of the drywall splices and I'm very happy with the results. Will definitely call Shelby again for my next drywall project!

The crew was very professional, friendly, careful to contain the construction mess, and very punctual. They cleaned up their work mess entirely, and even left us a fresh plastic drape to protect the floor during painting. They noticed some cracks in the walls (very common in these old plaster houses, and offered to cover & patch them at no additional charge. They're quick. They left us with a clean room and a high quality job. If we need more drywall work, this is the firm we are going to call--no question.

Shelby responded quickly when I call and asked for a free estimate. Once his company was selected to do the work, we set a date for the work to be started and he started as he said he would. Once the work was started, Shelby made some alterative suggestions which save me some money. The work was done in less time the predicted and I couldn?t be happier with the results.

The project went great. We could not have asked for better. Shelby did the work himself. He was on time and completed the job on schedule. We thought his estimate was quite good and reasonable. He blocked off the areas he worked in to prevent dust from getting into the rest of the house and cleaned the areas each day before he left. Certainly for all the work he did and the quality of the work, I don't think you will find anyone better.

First, Shelby is very flexible with his schedule and was very good about punctuality. He adjusted his schedule to get my dining room ceiling put back up before an event I was hosting at my house (an unforeseen plumbing disaster had caused the necessary repairs.). I did balk at the price initially, but I have no idea what the going rate for drywall installation is, and I wanted someone I could rely on to do it right. I asked Shelby if he would throw in the repair of the living room ceiling for no additional price, and he said he would. Some of the reasons why I was happy with their service: - They were courteous and punctual. - Shelby sent updates and pictures as the work progressed (I was out of town and at work for the majority of it). - They had my dining room ceiling replaced within a week of my initial meeting with them. - I expected Shelby to just repair the major seams on my living room ceiling. When he sent me the picture of what he had done, I was surprised to see that he had mudded almost the entire living room. I felt that I got a very good deal for the price I paid. - Shelby was able to recommend a good painter who also did very good work (and was fast, which was important in my situation). Drywall is something that is best left to professionals, especially ceiling drywall work. My house was built in 1912, and now I joke that I need to climb up on a ladder and put a few dents in my ceilings because they look way too perfect for a house of that age. You can't see where the plumbing damage was; I mean seriously, the repair seamlessly mends in with the pre-existing texture. If I need additional drywall work, "Excellence" will be getting my call.

It is easy for a company to add adjectives to their name to make you think of quality. The name Excellence in Drywall could very well been suggested by its customers for it is the best descriptive term I can think of. My 3 Br/2 1/2 bath 60's ranch house needed a complete make over. Shelby Smith and his skilled men repaired every wall in the house. Major cracks, expansion bulges, nail pops, patches, bare walls where I had torn the drywall out, new drywall where I had installed some, etc. They repaired ceiling cracks and patches and skillfully blended in the repairs. All of this was done on schedule and on budget. From the time Shelby showed up (boots in hand) to estimate the project thru Don leaving after doing a thorough "broom clean" of the entire house, I was delighted with my luck in finding them. I have some horror stories involving contractors that would make one scream. Shelby Smith and Excellence in Drywall had renewed my faith in finding quality people to do quality work.

Shelby and his team absolutely blew us away. We got a few quotes on drywall, and of all these Shelby was the only one to arrive on time for his appointment to provide an estimate - and he was the only one to take the time and explain what he was doing and why doing it a particular way would be better long term. Even if he hadn't had the best bid, there's a really good chance we still would have used him. We had a delay in our renovation of a few months, and Shelby was very flexible with that - all he asked was that I give him a couple week's notice before we were ready to start, so that he could get material ordered. Everything went as well as we could have asked for, even beginning with material delivery. The delivery guys had to deliver through a back door, and they took care to ensure that their equipment didn't damage our lawn. From there, Shelby & his team took over, and hung all the drywall in what seemed like record time. Everyone was always punctual - an 8:00am arrival meant 8:00am plus or minus 2 minutes it seemed. The finished job looks spectacular. Once we primed the walls, you couldn't tell where the seams are. Shelby also took the time to make sure that everything would look exactly as we expected in the end. They shimmed walls to make sure the drywall would be square, and even adjusted the position of can lights to ensure proper alignment. If there was ever a concern or question about how I would want something done, they would ask. I'll be using Shelby's services again in a few months when we finish the garage walls.

We had Shelby out to fix all the drywall cracks we had recently acquired due to some settling issues in the house. We also had him scrape off all the nasty popcorn ceilings in our main living areas and apply a knock down texture with paint. He did an awesome job, drywall is now nice and smooth, was courteous, and explained the whole process. A week after the job was completed, we noticed some "peeling and cracking" in the ceilings and called Shelby to come assess the situation. He was very prompt in coming back out. He advised that the way the popcorn was applied was very crudely done, and made it quite difficult to get a clean scrape in order for the knock down to adhere to a clean surface. He said if he repaired what was peeling, it would just peel again in a year or so, and he didn't want to leave us in that position. So he re-sheet rocked our entire living space, muddled, taped, applied knock down texture, and painted at no extra cost!! He definitely went above and beyond for us, and we will have him back out to finish our other living spaces.

He was very professional and friendly. He called me immediately after I emailing him. He was very accommodating to my schedule. He actually came in lower then his initial bid. Very honest! His work is exceptional, he definitely knows his profession. I highly recommend him.

It was a very smooth experience. Shelby clearly explained what he would do, made sure it met our needs, and gave a great bid. He completed the project quickly, did an excellent job, showed up when promised, and never left a mess. Highly recommended.

We contacted Excellence in Drywall for a bid on repairing a popcorn ceiling. Shelby was very informative on the phone. He was punctual and explained exactly what needed to be done when surveying the job. He was able to work us in on a Saturday. He was there at the time he said he would be, ready to work. I think this is the first time I have seen a contractor take his shoes off to walk across the carpet to get to the area he was going to work on. Plastic was placed over all the walls, cabinets, floor, light fixtures, and doors. When he was done, there was not any mess for me to clean up. His work was very professionally done and after the patches dried, I could not locate the previous bad areas. Will consider him for any future wallboard work.
