We had a received an estimate $3,000 less from another company but the estimate was prepared before even arriving to our house. Dave Welch from Welch's spent quite a while giving our house a thorough inspection and suggesting improvements to air flow. We appreciated the time and effort he put into preparing the quote. We had researched the American Standard brand and knew it would be a good quality system. Very happy with the installation. Very happy with the furnace - have not tried the a/c yet. Our 1950's house is much more comfortable now.

Mr. Welch came out to our house during the evening hours (which I appreciated because my husband was home also). He had already done some research on our home before he got here by checking the Butler County Website to determine the square footage of our home. That was so he'd know what size unit we really needed. His estimate was THREE THOUSAND dollars less then his competitor. We replaced a Lennox with an American Standard Heat Pump. We have a large house with two separate heat pumps and had replaced our smaller one the year before with a competitor (and their work wasn't great!). This was the largest of our two heat pumps. His team showed up on time and completed the work as promised. His team added an additional run while they were here to a West facing room that wasn't getting cool for a very minimal fee. It solved our problem! They swept up their mess and left everything in great condition. We even signed a service agreement with them. A+++++

Chris Welch was let into the house and he went straight to the thermostat, then went outside and started taking the unit apart. He did not speak or explain what he was doing except that we needed a new motor and said twice that it would cost $500.00. I am not hard of hearing. He seemed to be in a bad mood. My dad owns our house and paid Mr Welch. My husband and I never heard from him again. An hour later I found out he left. We did not know if he had finished or not. I found out through my dad that he paid Mr. Welch an hour ago. I called him back because we thought that the air was still not fixed. He did not return my call. When I called him back he said that we REFUSED TO ANSWER THE DOOR. He never used the doorbell. He came back and the air had started to work. He did say : " I DO NOT HAVE TO EXPLAIN ANY THINK TO YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT PAY ING THE BILL. " I don't know , this is NOT my idea of customer service, or service at all. My husband and I are stuck with them as my dad has a maintenance contract. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

Our air conditioning wasn't cooling our house so we called our air conditioning guy to ask him to check the health of our a/c unit. He told us we had leaks in the system and would likely need a new a/c unit. We called several businesses to get quotes. The person at Welch's Heating and Air who took our call was very courteous and professional. She asked some questions to learn that we were interested in a new central air conditioning unit but weren't sure if we wanted a new furnace. She explained that in order to give us an accurate quote they would have to send someone to our house so they could see its size and structure and that process would take about an hour. We made an appointment for a specific time and I asked if they would call just before the estimator would arrive so I wouldn't have to take more time off work than necessary. On the day of the appointment the man from Welch's called me to let me know he would be there on time. When I arrived at my house he was already there in his truck waiting on me. I took note as he introduced himself that he was quite professional and courteous. I showed him to the utility room so he could see how the air conditioning and furnace were installed. We then walked outside to see that part of the air conditioning unit. One concern of mine was whether the air conditioning unit we had in the house was properly sized. He took some measurements and used a computer to determine the proper a/c size needed for our house and he recommended a unit one size larger than what we had. All during this process he talked to me about various aspects of installing new air conditioning. At this point we had not decided whether to have a new furnace installed at the same time. So, we asked for several quotes for various sizes and efficiencies of air conditioning units and furnaces. He was happy to give us all the estimates we wanted. We called several other businesses to get their quotes for comparison and considered them all. Once we saw all of the quotes we decided to have the central air conditioning and the furnace replaced. We also chose Welch's Heating and Air to install the a/c and furnace. One aspect of air conditioning is the condition of the line set, the pipes that carry the coolant from the inside part of the a/c to the outside unit. Apparently, most of the time when there is coolant leak the line set is not the problem. The man from Welch's said that they would test them to make sure they didn't need replacing. The installers were scheduled to arrive at 8:00 AM and they too were on time. The two men arrived and were very polite and friendly as they introduced themselves. They went right to work to empty the coolant from the old air conditioner and remove the old a/c unit and furnace. Shortly after these two men arrived, two other men from Welch's arrived with the new air conditioning and furnace. It wasn't long before the four of them had the old a/c and furnace removed and the installation process started. Before they installed the new air conditioning they did test the line set as promised by the estimator. It's a good thing they did because they found leaks. Had they not tested them we would still have had problems with our a/c. Replacing the line set added about an hour to the installation process. From speaking with the installers we learned that wasn't too bad. Depending on the design of the house, it could be quite involved and might require cutting through walls. It tuned out that our house was relatively easy to replace the line set. We were so happy that they followed through with the test as promised! Once the a/c and furnace were installed, one of the men tested the temperature of the air coming out of the duct in our living room. All was well! The a/c cooled the air quite nicely. The furnace test also showed that it was heating the air properly. All in all our experience with Welch's was wonderful! Everyone we dealt with was on-time, polite, and professional. They did a great job and it was obvious they knew what they were doing. The estimate they gave us was the price we paid. Everything they promised to do, they did! It was a real pleasure doing business with Welch's and we would definitely recommend them..

My experience with Welch's Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. did not turn out very well. We ended up not using them. I was less than impressed with the service I got during the quote. I sat around in their showroom while a guy ate some snacks and messed around. He didn't seem too interested that I was there. They did the quote with very little details. I couldn't tell what kind of equipment I was getting. It was an incomplete listing of the work. You weren't sure what you were actually going to get. I like to see a more detailed statement.

Very straight forward no problems would recommend their services to my own Family.
