The work done went smooth. A few aspects of the project changed as it was almost done and he was very accommodating to the needs that we had.

Beware! I would like to give a positive review, but I can’t after experiencing one problem after another over the course of a year (yes 1 year) to get to a point where the owner decided the project had been completed. I’ll mention a few of the problems in this review. I caught the foreman / project manager in lies, one of which would have seriously compromised the integrity of the entire project. And the contractor, Jeff, has proven his poor character by refusing to honor his 1 year warranty on the waterfall. After 9 months of trying to get the waterfall installed and working properly, the owner decided that it was a maintenance issue and refused to do what was necessary to get the waterfall working properly. This came after monthly trips to try yet another way to solve the problem of a leaking waterfall without just removing the liners they patched together and putting in a single liner for the entire waterfall. The owner has also been “satisfied” (the owner’s word) with having installed the fireplace in a manner where it is not lined up properly with the remaining aspects of the living area (it sits cockeyed or off center compared to the rest of the features). My problem was that I paid the bill without demanding the fireplace be fixed after the owner maintained that “nothing can be done now” (the owner’s words). Now I am faced with replacing the liner myself and paying for the fireplace to be removed and rebuilt. One thing I can give them credit for is their creativity. They had good ideas. The implementation, though, was poor and lacking in detail. If you are a detail oriented person or just don’t like corners cut, look elsewhere.
