Olympia Stone

Their service was fine during the selling phase; once the contract was signed with 50% down, the attitude was perceptibly different. There was a lot of upselling of items - mostly cosmetic options. Their entire process made me slightly uncomfortable. They created some confusion about the stone I picked being out of stock within 20-mins after signing the contract (although it was well stocked before signing). I had much difficulty getting my calls and emails returned at this point (this may have something to do with 4th of July weekend -but two other contractors I was working with had no such communication problem during the same weekend). Then in the end, a stone suddenly became available! I accepted that stone in the interest of time but I am still not sure the stone I received is actually what they said it was in the first place. Even though I voiced my concern, they didn't directly address it. Such tactics made me very concerned especially so because of the mysterious nature of granite pricing and naming. The template appointment was late by several hours (store scheduled the appointment without first talking to their field guy). And the layout appointment where customer gets to make changes was a waste of time (which the salesperson made a big deal about while selling) - none of my suggestions - to make distinct eyesores less conspicuous - were implemented. To my great relief, they adhered to the timeline as promised (3-4 weeks) and delivered a fine product. Installation was done well - very professional. But I know the price I paid was bit high. I now wish I had shopped around a bit more. Post-installation visit to the store to discuss my concern about the layout was handled bit roughly from an individual with terse mannerisms. His offhand response was 'We just fired a guy who wasn't following instructions' -and even he later admitted it was a lame excuse! I have heard that same excuse from other contractors numerous times before !!. I wish they adopted a sales approach that built trust instead of confusion and doubt.

They were incredibly professional from the first appointment through every step of the way. They were right on schedule with the time frame they gave me for the job. It has just been a wonderful experience. It makes me want to do more projects to be able to work with them again. All the staff from the sales, installers, to the office staff were 100% professional.

Perfect....the granite chosen had a lot of movement in the pattern and they matched the seams to as close to undetectable as I think possible...sales person (Jarred Rose) was very responsive and professional to all my inquires. All in all, a terrific company to work with and I love the results.

After getting the scoop from Angie's List we selected Olympia Stone as being well rated and quite close to us. We went in to the showroom, told Marybeth what we needed, and she took us out back and showed us a selection of granite remnants which would be large enough for our application. After picking a suitable piece she then showed us edge options, and sink options. We picked those out and she said someone would be out to measure within a day or so. The next day someone called and we set up an appointment for measuring, which the guy did on time and professionally. He said the stone would be ready in a couple of weeks. We were pleasantly surprised to hear that in fact the goods were ready in less time than that, set up a convenient date, and on that day the installer called and said they were running ahead of schedule and could they come early! The install was done beautifully and we are very satisfied with the results.

We needed pieces to match our custom tile (purchased somewhere else), and we needed these pieces fast. Our tile installers bumped up their job by several weeks, and Maryellen South and the rest of the Olympia Stone crew were able to assist us in selecting exactly what we needed, but were able to fasttrack completion of delivery of the three pieces within only three working days. Because of their promptness, we were able to complete our project way ahead of schedule. Their customer service and ability to go out of their way to help was excellent.

We shopped around and looked at 4 providers. After the initial contacts we felt comfortable with the personnel at Olympia. They were very responsive and helpful. They provided a turn key option. They had a better selection of sinks and faucets. Communication was good and they delivered on time. The install took one day and the clean up was great. You would not even have known they were there. We had two small issues, the sink we ordered was late coming in, This delayed us by one week. the other issue was that one piece of back splash broke. Olympia got on the phone and found another slab from the same lot in Michigan. Had it shipped to them. They cut off what they needed and returned it. Project is complete and we are more then pleased with how it looks and the professionalism shown by Olympia.

Olympia was the second vendor we investigated for new countertops for our kitchen. They did not carry the quartz line we were initially interested in, but we ultimately went with them becausetheir service was exellent. They do carry several lines of quartz, and we were able to find one sample in particular that we were very excited about. The first place we looked, Carmel Custom Kitchens, was not able to provide us with a sink or faucet, and recommended we either visit Home Depot (not terribly helpful), or a specialty store with limited hours that would have required we take time off of work to pick out a sink. Olympia on the other hand was able to provide a sink, faucet, and garbage disposal, so we didn't need to look elsewhere. They had catalogs for us to look through, and if we found something we liked at Home Depot they were able to order the contractor grade faucet of the same style. We were originally going to go with a stainless steel sink, but Olympia introduced us to silgranit. The silgranit sink was more expensive, but it looks great and is more durable and easier to clean than stainless. There were no delays in scheduling templating or installation,and installation went well with only one small hitch that they were able to fix that day. We also found on installation day that the wrong version of our faucet had accidentally been ordered and charged. They brought over the correct version right away, and credited us the difference between what we paid for and what we had ordered. Jarred was easy to work with and we would use Olympia again for future projects.

We met Maryellen South at the state fairgrounds home show . From the beginning the Olympia folks were easy too work with and used an informative , but low pressure sales pitch . Maryellen did a nice job finding the granite that we wanted while staying within our budget . Tyler , Jesus , Miguel and Martin did a nice installation that was quick , clean and efficient.

Olympia Stone is wonderful to work with. Can't say enough about their professionalism, promptness, knowledge and overall customer service. Mary Ellen made the process so simple. I was able to pick my granite from another vendor and Mary Ellen coordinated with them. They gave us the option of removing our old countertops to save on costs as well. When coming to my home to measure for the countertops they were prompt and would call if there was any time variance to what they had arranged. I was able to go to their office and decide exactly which parts of the slab I wanted to go on which counter. The installers were very knowledgable! I had to have steel supports installed for a lengthy island overhang and was concerned about it's stability as there was no supporting wall to attach them to, only cabinets. They installed more steel supports than what they assured me I needed to meet my comfort level. The way that part of the installation was finished was impeccable. Mary Ellen also recommended a company to install our new back splash which worked out extremely well. We currently are in the process of building a pool house and I was in need of a small granite countertop for the bar area. Mary Ellen helped me pick something from their "bone yard" that has worked out beautifully. We gave them very short notice of our needs in order to fit into the construction schedule and they met those needs. Even though the project was so small on their end they did everything with the same level of knowledge and professionalism. I would absolutely recommend this company for future granite needs!

They made this all very easy. I visited the showroom, everyone there is straight-forward, friendly and helpful. I pretty much knew what I wanted and was directed to their supplier to select a slab. I was called to schedule the in-home measurement. The tech arrived on time and was quick to complete it. I went to the showroom to observe the layout on my slabs. Another tech worked on this, and was again patient and super friendly. The next day I changed my mind and wanted to go back and revise my slab layout--they were all so accomodating on this. They called to schedule my install, the installers even called as they were en-route, installation was quick and precise. They needed to install an extra piece of trim after the install and the installer did a great job and made sure it looked good. Lots of people there doing their job and doing it well.

We used them early this year. We haven't put in the kitchen yet. I saw them last week and we are buying from them. The service has been so far so good. We saw the countertop we wanted in their showroom and put down 50% deposit. I changed my mind and they were accommodating and gave me a new quote for another countertop. They were nice staff.

I have used Olympia Stone before and they met and surpassed my expectations again. They are a very professional and thorough organization.

They were great. We had contracted for a concrete vanity top and at the last minute the contractor canceled on us. We were in the middle of our bathroom remodeling and needed a vanity top fast. Went to the show room and were greeting immediately and professionally. Because of the size we needed for the vanity were advised to check their remnants out first as it would save us money. We did and actually found the perfect counter top. They came out and measured, took one of the bowl sinks and faucets to make sure they drilled the right size holes. It fit beautifully into the vanity cove. They were prompt, polite and profession. We will definitely use them when we remodel our next bathroom.

They were very professional from the start. I had a delay in getting the new cabinet (not from Olympia), so my template/measure was delayed to Olympia. They were exptremely fast and responsive once I had the cabinet installed. I begged to have the countertop installed before the holidays because I was having a party and they were able to fit me in about 8-10 days. I also used them for a new granite top in the basement. I have used them before for a BIG kitchen job some time ago. Folks at Olympia are very nice and provide quality work. Their prices tend to be about the same as others (maybe a bit more) but they are worth it. I have had friends use other companies and all they have are complaints. Olympia Stone is awesome!

They've done a very good job on our kitchen. Matt, the Company owner, was very knowledgeable and helpful in the selecting of the granite and explaining of the details of the installation. We checked out other providers, but Matt's knowledge and slabs selection was the best for our taste. Bill, who made all the measurements, came right on time, was very professional and provided some suggestions as well. The granite installers were prompt and efficient. The same is true for the tile installers. Matt and his team were very responsive to all our requests and changes we wanted to make. We don't see any problems or defects with our our new kitchen. It is looking really great!

I couldn't be happier with our overall experience with Olympia Stone. Our main contact was Maryellen South and she worked with us through numerous quotes and answered our many, many questions along the way. I wasn't home when the measurements were taken, but they were taken with a laser, which sounds pretty high-tech to me! We purchased our own sinks and faucets which we supplied to Olympia Stone ahead of time so all of the cuts could be made correctly.The day of installation went very smoothly and the countertops fit in like a glove, which was wonderful since we know for a fact that one of our kitchen walls is slightly bowed. There is a seam in our L-shaped counter that is so tight that it's easy to miss unless you look closely. Overall the company was very professional thoughout the process and the total price compared favorably with quotes from other companies. I highly recommend Olympia Stone.

This was the easiest home repair job ever. The templating took about an hour and the total install with the plumbing took only 1/2 a day. They were very professional and clean. They were not intimidated by an appliance garage.

Excellent job. Every appointment was on time. Installation was on time and they cleaned up every speck of debris.

I contacted a number of local stone counter fabricators in the area and Olympia was the most responive, professional and best priced on top of it all. I drew them up exactly what I wanted, and had a quote back quickly. They had lots of remnant material to choose from as well as a good selection of new slabs. I have had very few encounters with contractors go smoothly and exactly as planned but Olympia knocked it out of the park from start to finish. I worked with Bill Schuckman and his customer services was top notch! Even when I had to push back my install date a few days and made a last minute adjustment to a measurement Bill worked with me to make sure everything was done right and on time.

I visited Olympia as neighbors and angies reports gave them such good reports. Maryellen worked with me. I had an existing granite center I wanted to keep. Maryellen came out and she assured me a certain granite would blend. I liked Maryellen and trusted her advice. The granite turned out just great. There were a few glitches with the job but I was so impressed with how they handled them. Lew's plumbing did a great job-overall we were very pleased and would recommend them to others. I believe they are a company who take pride in their work. The way they handled the glitches showed they have integrity as well.

Mary Ellen and all the staff were GREAT!! They were helpful and didn't try and upsell! Great work, professional, on-time, on budget. Great selection of Granite! Would recommend them to anyone!

Matt and Bill were simply amazing. Great service, very professional and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. Their installation crew was friendly and polite and did a great job!! We would recommend them to anyone if you want a job well done.

We had been looking everywhere for countertops for quite some time and had visited the showroom frequently with friendly response every time.Mary Ellen was very kind in walking us through the warehouse and purchase process,so we could find the perfect slab.She even showed us their secret stash.They were even kind enough to pull the slab outside into the daylight so we could see every detail in the stone we were about to purchase.The template process was great.From the in home final laser measurements to having all pieces projected on the slab set up in the warehouse to show where all the cuts would be made and what details of the stone would still exist.We had a couple of layout options to choose from,and went with the advice of Matt,who thoroughly explained the reasons for the cutout design and layout.Scheduling was great and they even tried to sneak in a couple of days early.The installaton guys were hardworking ,kind and courteous, even though I was looking over their shoulders the whole time,mainly out of curiosity,because its a pretty cool process and everything pretty much slid right into place.Love these guys,will go back for my next project.My apologies for the lateness of this post.

Mary Ellen showed us the granite slabs and gave us an estimnate. We called to get the install set up and went back to the shop to give the ok on the slabs. Matt e-mailed a picture of the slabs showing how they would cut the granite. Matt kept in contact with us by phone or e-mail during the whole process. After the install was complete Matt called to see if I was satisfied. I had noticed a very small crack in the granite near the sink; he immediately sent out his crew to check this. There was a small crack and they replaced the slab. In the process of replacing the slab the sink was damaged and they had to special order another sink. This took about 2 weeks to arrive. We had problems getting the correct part for faucett (Delta kept sending the plumber the wrong part). Through all of this Matt kept in contact with us. I would definetly recomment Olympia Stone. Matt is a very sincere person and follows through with and checks on everything. I doubt they made any money on this job what with having to buy another slab of granite, a replacement sink and several trips to our home to complete the install. Every employee who came to our home was very polite and they cleaned up after theirselves.
