Olympia Stone

Outstanding job. Whole process was very smooth from the minute that we stepped foot in their offices. They gave us a very good price. We had gone to a couple other places and it seemed like we were getting the run around. Not here. Super professional. We couldn't be happier with our choice of Olympia and our kitchen looks awesome!

Olympia Stone is fantastic from the initial consultation to the finished product! We really wanted a thicker, mitered edge on our island and two companies who worked with our remodeling company were reluctant to do it (one had not done this type of edge frequently and even wanted us to sign a waiver form if anything happened to the stone). I found Olympia Stone through Angie?s List and contacted them. Maryellen in the front office was terrific! She not only assured me that Olympia could do this edge, she indicated that they recommend this edge for center islands because it makes such a statement and that they do this edge frequently. I knew I had found the right company for the job! Bill even provided finished samples of the edge using the granite we had chosen which solidified our confidence even more. When it came to templating, James was fantastic and Matt, one of the owners, even helped us when we had to specifiy the section of the granite we wanted cut. The installation crew was top-notch, too! Chris, the self-proclaimed ?granite n***? was so enthusiastic and accomodating :) He was just as excited, if not more, about the finished product because of the beautiful job his crew had done. I can?t say enough about Olympia Stone; I wouldn't even consider another company for any future granite needs!

We met with Chris Kowatsch to review the layout of the granite for our kitchen. We had 3 slabs on reserve for this project. The granite we had chosen was full of beautiful veins of different variaions and colors. When we came to watch Chris show us the layout on the counter tops on the computer, we found out that they had only brought two of the slabs believing that was all they needed for the size of the countertops. That made sense, but as he was trying to match up the seams along with the multiple veins and colors, it was not coming together very well. Chris is a perfectionist and tried multiple ways to match up the seams. It was not good as it could be. Chris unsolicited said he would check with his boss to see if they could bring in the other slab, but could not promise anything. He emailed the next business day indicating it would cost us extra to bring in the other slab. We were already over budget on granite and decided not to do it. I got an email later that day from Chris letting me know he showed his boss has seen the seams and he said to go ahead and bring in the other slab. The third slab made all the difference. It was almost a bookend to one of the others. Chris came up with two options where you could barely see the seems. He asked us to come and confirm which one we liked the best on the computer. Needless to say we were thrilled with both options and so happy to pick either one.. Olympia Stone including Maryellen, Matt (the owner) and Chris went out of their way to make our forever home perfect. They were very proffesional, customer focused and fun to work with. They offered to even let us watch the fabrication. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

We love the countertops (installed a year ago); price was reasonable value and the work was great. They didn't mention that we shouldn't get vinegar on the counterops (we were cleaning a cat's bowl on the counter) and it took some sealant off. They were happy to come out and take care of it, and didn't charge us. We lost a bit of the sealant in a spot where we had cleaned a cats bowl with vinegar. They scheduled to come out and reseal (at no charge); in the midst of changing that date several times, they failed to connect a service person in their system with the service job. Obviously, no one showed up. I give their president credit; he investigated, apologized, and offered either an immediate visit or a visit the next day (Saturday) to take care of it. Not great performance overall, but a good response to an unfortunate performance.

I have used their services before. They are outstanding. They are quick and get the job done when they say the will. They are very professional and keep their work space clean and neat. The workmanship is flawless.

Great service!! They were on time, professional, and the counters looked great. We had one problem and called, they came back within a day and quickly fixed the issue. Would definitely use again!!

We really did our research and they were awesome. They went above and beyond with removing the old countertop by repairing drywall so there is one less step when the backsplash is installed next week. Once they took the measurements we got to go out to see the slabs and they got your approval before they even cut they granite. Their price was very comparable to others but I felt more comfortable with their professionalism.

Went very well. Called to come out and measure and were on time. Install on two of the tops went very smoothly. They also installed the under counter sinks. No problems. The downstairs vanity needs a little more waterproofing. When they come out to install third vanity top they will reapply sealant without a problem. The delay on the third counter top is due to the remodeled bathroom not being completed on time. They have the piece of granite cut and ready to place when we are ready.

It went well. I like it!

Talked with Matt in the store and he helped us narrow down some choices. After taking samples home we made a decision and had them out for measurement. Installation was fast and when a piece didn't fit they had it cut and installed he next day. The plumbers that came out were very professional. Looks terrific.

Everything went great! All of the employees from Olympia Stone were knowledgeable and professional. The entire transaction went smoothly from picking out the granite, measuring for countertops, designing the layout and installation.

It went really well. The most outstanding thing is the artistic ability of the owner's son, on how he lined up the stone. They put a lot of effort in the project. They were very upfront of the advantages and disadvantages with the stone we used.

David was very accommodating and helped us through the selection process. Installation was flawless and the guys were courteous and knowledgeable.

It's rare in the industry that one finds someone who is patience personified and also extremely knowledgeable after having met up with those who had less scruples. A grand experience! I wish that I had a bigger home. Maybe next time.

Had a marble slab that was broken in pieces due to moving. Brought pieces to Olympia and Mary Ellen gave us some options on how to salvage the bigger pieces into usable slabs again. Excellent service, excellent workmanship. Just amazing. While we were there, we found a piece of granite to replace the broken marble as a slab on top of 2 low bookcases. Olympias' granite looks better than our new kitchen granite that came with a newly built house! It has a sheen and polish beyond what I expected. |While we are here in Indianapolis, I will recommend Olympia Stone and Mary Ellen to everyone. |P.S. While we were there looking around the yard for our granite, we came across a wonderful finished piece.It was a small slab of granite that Olympia made into a serving platter! It came with a small cheese knife. The whole piece could be put in the refrigerator and used as a cheese platter or to roll out dough when you need a cool surface. We have 6 kids and each one received this unique gift for the holiday!

At first it was great, the sales gal was friendly We chose Olympia because they had the "template viewing" pre-installation to make sure all was good before they cut the stone. We went to look at the template and they said we could cover over the phone jack. That was the ONLY thing we even asked for - everything else was as they designed. When it came to the install, they left the old sink right in the center of the garage...I couldn't pull my car in; they had not scheduled the plumber, so nothing was hooked up until I called them and I waited a couple of hours for the plumber who explained he wasn't scheduled. So that created a longer day and install for us. Also the installer took it upon himself to saw out the phone jack which was very disappointing to us. We called and the best offer we got for compensation was $250 off. That was for their goof, and the 2+ hours we spend driving there and taking off work for that whole template session. Further, the faucet we bought leaks long after we turn it off. My husband called the owner who made him (US) call the faucet company. What kind of business is THAT? I do not understand how people can give this company rave reviews as they have really not done well in customer service by us and our bar is not that high. Overall the countertops are nice, but I just don't think that they really care about the customer. As for the faucet: the manufacturer of the cheezy faucets they use gave my husband a rough time, and he should not have had to deal with them at all; and they are sending us a part. WE have to try to put on a new part ourselves. We should have gotten a replacement faucet and they should have installed. I am appalled at the lack of concern and customer care here. UNbelievable. So it's not a full service, we have to do fix their mess ourselves.

Olympia Stone showed us their products, allowed us to pick the exact marble stone to be machined to fit our cabinets, allowed us to chose the pieces for placement at each location to fit our expectations and kept us informed of their production time schedule. They provided a very reasonable price estimate for the countertops, sink and installation and honored that price exactly. Once we had chosen the stone, it took only about two weeks to machine and produce the finished countertops. We chose a day for installation and they arrived promptly on that morning. Two installers and a plumber completed the installation by mid afternoon of the same day. The installers worked diligently, were clearly very capable of conducting the installation, were considerate of our home and schedule and were very personable. We are very satisfied with their work and countertops. We highly recommend Olympia Stone and their installers.

We contracted with Olympia Stone to fabricate and install granite countertops and a matching surround for a fireplace that is visible from the kitchen. We were pleased with the staff's interaction from the start. Jarred Rose, our first contact, was very accessible and professional, yet friendly. He responded promptly whenever we called or emailed him. Bill Schuckman, one of the owners, shared his layout with us and allowed us to change it a bit so that we could best showcase the fabulous movement of the stone we had chosen. Bill was on hand for most of the installation, which was done efficiently and cleanly. Matt Schuckman, the president, came by as well and followed up with a phone call. Our fireplace was probably the trickiest part of the job; we were installing a new fireplace and had to coordinate schedules with that installer and Olympia; both were quite accommodating. Our mantle also caused problems, so Matt in a carpenter to configure a new base. The entire staff could not have been more professional and responsive, and the result is that our kitchen and fireplace look incredibly beautiful.

Couldn't have gone better. This is the second time we've used Olympia Stone. (2 years ago, they installed marble in our master bath.) ALL their people are professional, punctual, and courteous. They follow up when they finish!!! There may be cheaper places but you cannot beat their beautiful work and professionalism.

Everything from start to finish was excellent! We really felt like we were more than customers throughout this entire process and will recommend Olympia Stone to everyone. Natalie gave very helpful advice on the selection of granite as well as on how the cuts should be made; she is incredibly knowledgable and responsive.

They outlined the process, showed us examples of the granite they have, let us check out some samples. When we narrowed it down we went to the wholesale warehouse on the northwest side where they get most of their stone. We were still undecided so we went to another wholesaler on the near north side. They had what we wanted so they contacted Olympia to reserve that piece. We paid 50% down and then they came to measure for the template. In about 3-4 weeks they installed. The installers were quick and neat and did and excellent job. When they finished they coordinated with Lew's Plumbing for installation of the granite sink and facet. Everything went very well. The accessories we ordered weren't quite right so they exchanged one and accepted the other as a return.

Matt and the team picked up when my original fabricator was unable/unwilling to cut my Sedna granite. They did a phenomenal job both with guidance (digitally providing different layout options) and installing - on time and on budget (less than original fabricator. You guys rock!(pun intended!!)
