+ -1 moreVery well. I e-mailed him, he responded very quickly, gave me an estimate, and performed the work the next day. The only down side was this was last Friday, right before the big storms. Everything looked so nice Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, by the next morning, not so well! No reflection on David Hazen, of course!
Description of Work: He cleaned the gutters and blew debris from the roof and patio cover. He went above and beyond by also blowing leaves from the patio and he even edged a large portion of the driveway!

+ -1 moreThey provided great service! They communicated to let us know when they would arrive. They cleaned the gutters on the day and time they promised. I had a question regarding the cleaning, and my call was returned within 30 minutes on a Sunday! My question was regarding some standing water I could see in the gutters along the first floor overhang. They sent someone out the following day to check and make sure it was cleaned properly, which it was. They were very thorough! And I thought they charged a fair price. I highly recommend this company for gutter cleaning.
Description of Work: They cleaned the gutters on our 2-story home in the spring. Our gutters were overflowing when it rained and they really needed the cleaning.

They responded quickly to request for free estimate, provided the lowest bid, offered color samples and discussed the project, including possible options, with us before starting any work. When workman showed up, he suggested that the color I had picked out was too light. I agreed, and he volunteered to return the next day with all new materials in the more appropriate color. I was impressed with his/their honesty, communication and willingness to look out for the customer's best interests. Project was completed the next day, in just a few hours. Excellent work, excellent value.
Description of Work: Installed new downspout, which tied into existing gutters; original system did not provide a downspout for one section of roof. As a result, this section drained by spillover onto the roof in the front. This caused algae buildup and erosion of siding, while also overwhelming the downstream gutters/downspouts.

+ 0 moreWhen I first called, I understood the standard price to install 1 downspout was $250. However, I asked them to come out and look at the job, because it was a pretty short downspout in an easy location. Plus I asked them to look at the clogged drain and the gutter which was holding water. They advised me to install 2 downspouts (for aesthetic reasons), and recommended rather than replacing the underground drain that they run a drain above ground behind the bushes and connect it to another underground drain. Finally, they needed to clean out the gutter downspout holding water. Total price was $350, which I thought very fair. After the work was done, I noticed that the new downspout(s) didn't completely solve my problem. Harold explained that the gutter didn't extend far enough to the roofline and came out (at no cost) to extend it...plus even painted it to match. Fantastic job and customer service.
Description of Work: They performed 3 jobs: Due to mold buildup on my roof, I needed 2 downspouts put toward the front of the house, One underground downspout drain was clogged and needed to be re-routed (above ground) and hooked into another underground drain & A gutter seemed to hold too much water after rainfall.

+ -1 moreTwo gentlemen arrived as scheduled. One spoke with me concerning my fears about clogged downspouts. He checked and confirmed the problem. He was extremely professional and made suggestions as to how to correct the problem. All work was done in a timely and professional manner. There was absolutely no mess when the job was finished. I will definitely use this company for all future gutter cleaning.
Description of Work: Some downspouts were completely clogged with pine needles. The gentlemen who provided my service disassembled those downspouts, removed all debris, and reassembled them. Because these gutters/downspouts drain underground, they suggested using a product to dissolve tree roots that had grown around the area in question. All other gutters were throughly inspected and cleaned.

After reviewing one of the project issues I had in mind, David explained that replacing a chimney tile and recapping the chimney was outside his area of expertise. He then suggested two companies, both carrying excellent Angie's List credentials, that I should call for estimates. Dave called me at twice to advise me he would not be able to arrive at the job at the time he had promised. In this instance his punctuality was not important to me but it bothered him considerably. I thought this was noteworthy. --- Nothing is cheap these days but I thought his price was fair.
Description of Work: Re-installed the gutter apron in several gutter sections and corrected a potential skylight leakage problem by reinforcing the skylight flashing and caulking potential problem areas.

I was impressed with the work itself, the clean-up and the follow-up phone call. + 1 moreI called David based on the rave reviews from Angie's List. He was prompt in returning my call, came to the house the same day to give me an estimate on gutter cleaning. During his inspection, he noticed the above mentioned items. With some companies, you tend to be leery of additional work mentioned, however, with David, his approach was "I think you need to know." He is very knowledgeable, polite, trustworthy, pays attention to detail, hardworking, dependable and a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend him and if the need arises, I will definitely do business with him again.
Description of Work: Cleaned gutters, inspected newly installed roof, re-attached all downspouts to underground drains, installed new corrugated attachments, located and unclogged all drains, unburied underground drains bringing them to the surface, flushed out drains, installed new downspout, flashed U-cuts on roof and added dividers.

+ -1 moreThis was the second gutter job that I hired David's company to install. I already had his email address, so I sent him an email describing the job. David replied within 24 hours and we emailed regarding what dates and times would work best for me. I also told him that I did not feel the need to be present during the job. I was at home when the gutters were installed, but not when the gutter covers were installed. For both jobs, you would not have known anyone was in the yard at all. They cleaned up everything and did not leave any indication, other than the presence of new gutters and covers, that they had been at my home. Fantastic!
Description of Work: We had a new, detached garage constructed, and David's company installed gutters, downspouts and gutter covers (leaf guards).

I happened to arrive home while he was working and he made a point of explaining the work he was doing. He even trimmed some high branched off of a tree as they were getting too close to the house. David followed up approx. 1 week later to make sure we were satisfied, and we were.

+ -1 moreOur gutters were overfilled with leaf debris. I called David to have our gutters cleaned and request information on installation of gutter shields. He asked a few questions about our house hand gave me some options over the phone. He gave a time to come out and clean the gutters and provide more details on types of shields. He arrived promptly to clean the gutters and cleaned up the mess. We discussed shields and picked one of the mesh options. His crew installed the shields on our complex shaped roof with many angles. Overall the process was prompt and efficient. Although our dog was not thrilled with people on our roof we we pleased with the result and would recommend their services.
Description of Work: David's team cleaned the gutters of built up leaf debris and cleaned up the mess from the flushed material. We requested an estimate for installing gutter shields. He gave us an estimate. We agreed and gutter guards were installed on our house as agreed.

He explained the difference between the two leaf guard options he presented, and was helpful in determining which solution would be best for the type of trees and debris fall that we get. Once we selected the leaf solution guards, David was out within the week to install. In fact, we were even on vacation that week, and came home to newly installed gutter covers. Everything was done in a clean, professional and courteous manner. I highly recommend David's work and look forward to not cleaning gutters again!
Description of Work: We live in the Butler-Tarkington neighborhood, and have a very dense tree canopy which drops leaves in the Fall, and lots of tiny seedlings and twigs in the Spring. Year round, our gutters were constantly overflowing and backing up from all this debris. I originally contacted David to perform gutter cleaning service, but also requested a quote to install leaf guards, which we ended up having installed. This price also included the gutter cleaning before the leaf solution guards were installed.

+ -1 moreMike did the gutter cleaning and estimate for the gutter covers, downspout installation and shingle repairs on our first meeting. He left some of the materials he would be using for the gutter covers at my house that day and we scheduled another day for him to come out and do the work. He arrived on time and worked non-stop until everything was finished. He was friendly, neat and did an great clean up job. We did a walk around the house, he explained everything he did and I saw no problems with the installation.
Description of Work: Mike performed a gutter cleaning on my two-story home, then gave me an estimate for gutter covers for the house and screened porch. Each gutter was assessed and an appropriate covering was discussed. Because some gutters on the house tended to accumulate more leaves and tree debris than others, we decided to use a the more expensive maintenance-free screens on the gutter that back side of the house where the most trees were and less expensive screens on the gutter that received much less debris in them. Since the screens cannot be seen from the ground, you can't differentiate the type used unless you are on the roof. This saved me a good amount of money while still using the most efficient covering for each gutter. We also decided to install another downspout on the very long gutter on the back side of the house to improve the speed of drainage. Mike also agreed to do some minor shingle repair while he was on the roof.
