The salesperson was knowledgeable and pleasant, but the estimate was nearly double that from another Angie's List contractor for the same gutters. The cost of the gutter covers were also very expensive, although probably a better product than the ones we ended up going with from another competitor.

I have a brick house that was built in the 1930s and I had several issues that I needed to address. Overall, the process was very smooth and I was very happy with the quality of work performed. Starting with my request for a quote, everyone I dealt with was very responsive. Within a week of my request, work had started on the house and it was finished less than a week after that. Tim Sanders, the mason that led the project, was very professional and took care to explain everything they were doing. His team worked with an impressive motivation to complete the job efficiently and cleanly. The finished job was great. The patchwork on the bricks was seamless, the chimney was thoroughly repaired and the brick supporting the front porch, which had been crumbling, had been completely redone, creating a stronger structural base than had originally existed and improving the physical appearance while remaining consistent with the aesthetics of the house. Overall, the cost was very reasonable, I couldn't be happier with the work and the professionals were honest, thorough, responsive and flexible; I highly and enthusiastically recommend them!

I had not planned on doing this repair, but when we recently had an animal removal service come out to remove some birds from our fireplace we had asked him to cap the chimney to prevent future invasions. He said that he could not do so due to some repairs that were needed first. So, I turned my Angie's List search focus to the chimney repair category and came upon David Hazen. Tim (masonry expert) came out, inspected the (2nd story) double chimney, took a photo to help me understand the current situation and what was needed, and walked me through his proposal. Within 2 days of my accepting his bid he erected the scaffolding, and the day after that he completed the job. He snapped a few photos of the work throughout the process, which further helped me understand what was going on up there. Since the materials costs had to be minimal (concrete cap, 2 liner sections, and the weather/critter caps), and because the work was completed in maybe just over a business day, it seemed to me that the $1750 price tag was somewhat high. Hence my C rating on Price. I did not seek any other bids . . . This is one of the reasons that I subscribe to Angie's List. After the fact, I did check the List for other provider and customer experiences, and the associated costs, and I feel more comfortable now. Masonry work is just plain ol' expensive, I guess. Bottom line is that he did a great job, left no debris behind, and gave us one less maintenance item to be concerned with for years to come.

He is very responsible and cleans my gutters twice year. He calls ahead to schedule appointments. He does a great job.

As usual, David's crew did a nice job and cleaned up all the debris. They worked in and around our densely planted flower beds without doing any harm. The only thing that wasn't perfect this time was that they backed their truck up our driveway, went off the pavement, and squashed some hosta plants in the process ... fortunately, I know they'll grow back.

They followed up well on phone calls and showed up on time. Their overall work was fine as well. Their clean up was very good.

It went fine. Basically I got a call and was quote the amount it would cost to clean out the gutters. They came a couple of days later while I was at work and left me an invoice. No complaints!

Contacted David and requested quote. He quoted cleaning and a permanent gutter cover solution. We went ahead with the cleaning. David's crew did the work while I was at work so did not see the work being performed. Just know that the gutters are clear and downspouts are functioning correctly. We held off on the gutter cover because we are in the process of getting a new roof. Looks like a good product but have not made a decision.

Excellent. We called David on Monday and he responded very timely and spoke to my wife about our needs. He gave her a quote over the phone and committed to being out that Friday or Saturday to complete the job. The crew showed up on Saturday - about 95 degrees outside, and completed the work and left like they had never even been there. They left the invoice, including a self-addressed envelope to submit payment. We will definitely use David again. Great experience from start to finish.

We are on their list for twice yearly gutter cleanings. They call us to schedule each visit and we are able to cancel a cleaning if it is not needed. Workman came out to clean gutters in December and water in gutters was partially frozen. Workman came back out on warmer day to finish job. Gutters were cleaned and any debris was taken away. Workman did a great job! We would have them do it again.

They did a great job, were friendly and efficient. You cannot tell the damage was ever there.

David responded immediately to my request and my gutters were cleaned within days despite a heightened level of demand due to a series of severe early summer storms. The work was thorough and reasonably priced.

They send a reminder voicemail and then come out to clean the gutters on the day the voicemail indicates. They are reliable and thourough.

They presented a good project plan but were a bit higher priced. If the first company did not work out, I would have worked with them without any hesitation. He was great.

I called David and asked him to clean our gutters. He returned my call within a few hours and was able to do the job just two days after I called. His work was professional and I would definitely use him again.

He does a very thorough job for me. As his company has expanded he has hired reliable workers that we are happy with as well. We have a pretty large house with a lot of trees and three stories in the back. It is not an easy job. We need people who are really good at what they do and we trust that they will be safe while doing so.

David Hazen's crew was on time, they called before arriving, and were very knowledgeable and professional. They performed our cleaning and inspected our roof. On completion they handed us an invoice and some more problems they found while on the roof. We asked for an estimate to do the repairs, we liked David's service and price so we hired him for the repairs.

3 man crew came 1 day later then expected, but not time critical. Cleaned up all debris & leaves from old gutter. Very good job.
