In the fall you have to wait until all the leaves are off the trees before cleaning the gutters. Last fall I had to call to find out when they were coming because I didn't hear anything from them (usually he contacted me to schedule). I was told because of the bad weather it would be a couple of days to weeks before they could get out. Winter came and I never heard back from them. I assumed they would contact me in the spring for my usual cleaning. It's now mid April an I have heard nothing from them and my gutters are still filled with leaves from the fall. I'm very disappointed as I had always thought they were very professional previosly.

I had used David Hazen twice before and had been very satisfied both times. This time, I called David Hazen for service on 2/3/11 and they promised service "either today or early tomorrow." Subcontractor Harold Crowe came the next day and provided estimate of $750. Paid half up front. At the time, the whole city was blanketed in two inches of ice so I don't blame them for not wanting to go up on the roof. When conditions were safe (about two weeks later), fascia board was reinstalled, but in order to install gutter, needed a metal wedge. So far, so good. But then... after several weeks, I called to inquire about the status and apparently the part had arrived but somehow the service was never scheduled. To make it up to me, Crowe offered to finish the job at no charge. It took a couple extra weeks and a few more phone calls, but the team eventually came by and finished the job on 4/6/11. I am disappointed that David Hazen sent me a subcontractor that took over two months to get the job done instead of doing it "today or early tomorrow" as promised. Based on my previous experiences with them, I would probably give them another chance in the future though.

They snow plowing had caused the mail box to loosen. They had to replace the base of it. Will was very knowledgeable. He was very skilled at metal and wood work. After inspecting the mailbox personally he let us know the price would be $150.00 and not $50.00 to $100 price quoted over the phone.

In general, we have had pretty bad luck hiring work done on our house. However, this company is definitely the exception to that general rule. Last year, they helped us get full coverage from our insurance company. Their workmanship was good and they were responsive to our concerns. Last evening, I contacted them about a minor roof leak over our garage. They addressed it by lunch today even thought it was not an emergency. We will definitely hire them again and recommend them to other owners.

I was on their list for gutter cleaning twice a year. They never came out to perform the work and never called. When I contacted Mr. Hazen I got the typical excuses and promises of service but he never followed through on anything he said to me. I knew when I was speaking with him he was telling me what I wanted to hear and never intended to actually follow through on any of his promises.

They did a good job. They have held-up through the weather that we have had. I found them to be efficient and trustworthy.

We spent about $300 on that work. They did a great job, were very quick and knew what they were doing.

We had a problem with long icicles forming right above our front door. This company re-directed the water flow away from the front of the door, so we wouldn’t have those long icicles anymore. Overall, the experience went very well. The price was reasonable and they honored a discount for us being Angie's List members. The technician who came out to do the guttering was great. He went out of his way and above and beyond. For example, he painted the area in which the old gutter was, which he didn’t have to. We appreciated that. Everything about the process went smoothly, and we are so happy with their services.

Very responsive, knowledgeable and professional. Quoted us for an ice water shield and then once they got shingles off found we already had one so deleted that from our final bill.

They came out to look at my gutters and informed me that all I needed was gutter cleaning. Overall, the experience was very good. The price was competitive. They did an excellent job with cleaning the gutters, and cleaned up nicely afterwards. I was very pleased with them and I would recommend their services.

They were punctual, they estimated the job and let me decide what I wanted and didn't want, they weren't pushy about what needed to be done. I felt pretty good about the services they offered.

They were very timely and the price was reasonable.

They got back to me by phone that day. Two men came out two days later and installed the cap. The had several sizes of caps on their truck, as well as all needed ladders and equipment.

Great. I gave them our address, and while I was on the phone, they used Google Earth to find our house, estimate the linear feet of our gutters and give me a price. I told them to do the work over the phone, and a couple of days later, they cleaned the gutters and left an invoice on the door. They followed up with an invoice by email. Couldn't have been easier.

I spoke with him a couple times. He was a nice and pleasant person. He was good about getting back with me over the phone. He was good about getting someone out here to give me a bid. Things went very well, but we just went with someone else.

They are always responsive when we try to reach them. The price is always the same and reasonable. They clean up afterwards so they don't leave a mess.

I called David Hazen in August to request an estimate on cleaning my gutters and repairing the gutter covers. The covers had become loose and birds were getting underneath. David gave me an estimate and suggested that I wait until October after the birds had abandoned their nests. I agreed and when October rolled around David's people were here at my home doing the job. The work took several hours and when it was finished the employees did a good job of cleaning up although some of the grit from the gutters was left on my back steps. Overall, I was very satisfied with the work.

They do a great job and will leave you the bill if your aren't home.

Dave 's crew was punctual, communicated well and did a fine job. They were here on time, fixed what needed fixing and cleaned up the site after the job was done. We have had no issues with our gutters since they worked on them.

They arrived early so I didn't have to waste a whole afternoon waiting for them.

We did not select him as his estimate was 20% or more higher than other estimates.

Prior to this year I would have rated him highly. But currently, he is not returning my calls and I have been calling him since the spring and it is now the fall. He will not put me on his schedule for my annual check up on my gutter guard covers. He stated that the gutter guards are not under contract in regards to clogging. I found the contract which states that the gutters will not clog. He says the contract only advised the downspouts will not clog, but this is not what contract says. When it rains heavily I am having trouble with my gutters, and I believe the gutters are clogged and they are traveling. I know it is not the roof as I have annual inspections of the chimney and shingles and no one is finding any problems. After it rains I am having a continuous drip and puddles for hours afterwards. I feel he is not owning up to his end of the contract.

Everything went very well. He did it and we got the 10% Angie's discount. He did a good job.
