I was planning to have the flower beds next to my home professionally mulched and wanted to get the gutters cleaned before the landscaping company did their work. I found Dave Hazen's contact info from the Angie's list website and called. I talked to him right away and explained the situation with the mulch, even though I had only given him a 5 day window in which to work. He said he would try to make it happen for me. Within 36 hours, my gutters were clean! He has put us on his list to call in the fall for our autumn gutter clean-up. I will most definitely use Dave's service again! Prompt, pleasant, efficient, neat and reasonable. As it says in the song, "Who could ask for anything more?"

The gutter looks great. The gutter was hanging and the wood was rotted. I think this all happened during the ice storm from this winter. David's crew came out and took down the gutter. Replaced the wood and painted and primed it as well. The gutter looks great and is working like new. While they were on the roof fixing this, they even went ahead and cleaned out my gutters which were in desperate need of a cleaning. I have used them in the past and will absolutely use them again in the future. David is a great guy to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.

We signed up for the Angie's List Big Deal of $499 to recondition up to 50 feet of gutters. We received a call from David Hazen Group two days later to schedule an appointment to evaluate the job. Duane arrived exactly on time on June 28. He looked at our gutters and determined that we had about 125 feet of gutter. He also pointed out the rotted wood on one corner of the roof on our garage. He offered to only recondition the 50 feet included in the Big Deal and to let me decide what part to do. I mention this because Duane made absolutely no effort to pressure me to spend more money than included in the Big Deal. His final estimate utilized the Big Deal rate for the rest of our gutter and repair of the roof. A crew of three arrived in the afternoon of July 6 and finished in the morning on July 7. In addition to reconditioning the gutters and repairing the roof, they also painted the new board behind one of the gutters (replaced due to rotting). I was very impressed with this company and plan to use them in the future. I also want to thank Angie's List for the Big Deals. This is the second one we have taken advantage of and both have been money well spent.

Brian came out to inspect the roof. As he was looking at the roof I had noticed on his truck that they did masonry work as well therefore I asked him about the steps and the brick mortar that I needed repaired because of cracks. He quoted me $750 for all the work and said he could have it done within a week seeing as I needed it done quickly for a home sale. They came out in a week and completed all the work and did a fantastic job. In fact they were only supposed to fill a few mortar cracks on our retaining wall, but they went through an filled all of them. I actually told them that they were only supposed to do the small section and he said they were instructed to fill anything that needed filled! Wonderful service! The work crew took pride in what they were doing. In fact I walked around the house with them when they were done and he found a few more places he didn't see and repaired them as well! Great experience all around! Would highly recommend them!

I called David. He quoted me a price. The guys came out the following week to do the work. The work was done well and the price quoted was honored. Great experience!

The customer service I got from David Hazen Group was outstanding. I had two other companies come out to try and fix my leaking door, both of which were not successful. I called David Hazen Group up to book an appointment. In a few hours one of the project leads, Brian, called me and said he could swing by on his way home to check out the issue. He was pretty frank with me- if two other companies couldn't fix the issue by trying to band-aid the problem, then us trying a band-aid probably won't work either. If you want to guarantee that the door isn't leaking due to improper installation, we can remove the entire door and re-install it and they'd guarantee it wouldn't leak anymore. Performing this would cost about $500 more, but seemed worth it. While he was there he inspecting my siding surrounding my door, and found that some of the siding wasn't secured to my house - it happens to be the part that wasn't done right was a service done by the Handyman Connection. In general, I was very impressed with Brian's professionalism, knowledge of the area of work (Siding/Doors/Construction), as well as his level of work, so I signed them up to do all of it. There was a chunk of rain in the days following, so the company was backed up in work. They wanted to honor my scheduled work date instead of rescheduling it, so Brian personally came out with another guy to perform the work. I am very glad I went with their recommendation to uninstall the door because the source of the problem was a hole in the bottom tray of the door (likely when my builder installed the door they poked a hole in it by accident), where no level of band-aids would have found it - only uninstalling the door as Brian recommend would have found it. They fixed the leak, and my siding looks better than it originally did. I would hire David Hazen Group again, and I plan on getting a quote from them to finish my basement

They were good. They were very punctual and responsible.

David Hazen Group returned my call with 48 hours and they set up an estimate within a few days. The estimator was on time and he seemed knowledgeable. Since they needed to order the gutter guard, it took about 3 weeks from start to finish. Easy to work with and I think they treated me fairly.

I got a very good response from them. He said that the roof was in excellent condition and it was basically a stain on one side of the roof. He said that it was cosmetic and doesn’t cause any damage to the roof. He quoted a price in the estimate and marked it as optional for reinforcing and putting up gutters an also some other things. The reason why I chose to do the work with them was because of their proximity and also because of their rating. I would rate him high overall. The technician, who came out, went around the house and he gave a detailed estimate of each and everything and he also gave suggestions of the customer’s choice and told about the quality of each product. He was pretty knowledgeable and also gave me a website to look into product and his experiences working with customers. I later discussed it with my husband and told them to do the work and they started the work next week. He is doing the work in our house right now.

It went perfectly. They considered my input and told me why they did what they did, Boyd ran the crew and gave me tons of confidence in his work. The job was bid as an aluminum replacement but when Boyd looked at the installation he insisted on using copper which was much more expensive and they did not charge me the extra. Boyd added two or three extra touches to make the gutter last forever. We custom built our home and did a $80K remodel last year and this is probably one of the best vendors I have worked with!

They were prompt with their estimate. It was a fair price, and they did the work in one afternoon. They cleaned up after themselves. By doing this work early, it saved us from replacing all of the siding in the future.

Dwayne did a good job with cleaning the gutters. He also very honestly assessed the need for gutter shields and provided us with his opinion on the remaining life of our roof. The only negative was showing up too late for the first appointment and having to reschedule. He was a bit late on the second appointment which is understandable for a vendor in this line of business, and he called to inform us he would be late. Overall, a positive experience and I would use this company again. He seems very honest and hard working.

I called the David Hazen Group to get an estimate on repairing the stackboot on our roof. They called back the same day with an estimate. They came out the next day and got the repair done. They were prompt, thorough, competent, and courteous. Excellent!

The service was great from the start to the finish. We had originally called them for gutter cleaning. We called them and left a message on their voice mail service., within an hour there company representative had called us back. They were able to give us a phone quote for the gutter cleaning. We hired them and they showed up as promised. While they were here cleaning our gutters, they had inspected the outside of our house and found some necessary repairs that were needed. We hired them to fix all of these repairs and were very happy with their service. What we particularly like that they could handle all of the repairs, it made it much easier then calling several different companies to do each repair. David Hazen's Company had did a great job and we will definitely use them again in the future.

I was extremely happy with the service, his punctuality, and his courtesy...a truly pleasant experience with a vendor that is rare these days. I intend to have him come back this month to do the same work again. A great company!

They did a great job, I had baby trees growing in my gutters and came back from work and they were looking great. David is a great guy to work with and really cares about his customers. I would recommend them to anyone.

They were professional and thorough. They communicated with me when there were delays - one delay because of the equipment not being received soon enough and the other delays because of rain. They were respectful of my schedule and my wishes for taking care of my buildings. I am happy with the outcome of their work.

The experience was excellent overall. I called to have someone come over and inspect my failing gutters and the salesman came over and explained the issues and a solution in great detail. I was pleased with the description of how they were going to repair it and just how thorough it was explained. I signed the contract and gave them a deposit and the salesman stated that they would do the work in approximately 2 weeks as they have been very busy due to weather. About 2 weeks went by and they just showed up and started doing the work. The job took 2 days and it just looks so good. I couldn't be happier. I paid the balance and asked for an estimate to paint the whole house.

Boyd Waters, the estimator, has several decades of experience and it was apparent that he was extremely knowledgeable. He patiently explained, in detail, the repair versus replacement without pressure or hurridly. I opted for replacement. Mr. Waters designed his own equipment so all end pieces, cuttings, are custom fit with hangers every two feet. He also uses copper flashing on the soffits. He noticed that some roof nails had popped and replaced those. Boyd was sensitive to the owner's plant placement and checked with me during the process. In addition, he was polite, on time and there was no mess left behind.

Very disappointed in company response. Very insulting experience. I contacted company via Angie's List and the the provider's online contact form. Received a call in a day (this was promising) asking what it was I wanted, and I explained the problem (a piece of guttering had fallen off, and another was pulling away from roof line) and sent them four digital images of the required repair, as requested. I was promised that another individual (an estimator) would get in touch with me for an appointment and would come out to personally view problem very promptly. After three nearly three week nothing has happened. The repair I needed was relatively small and there wasn't much money in it for them. I don't want an apology. I don't want to deal with this company.

He is punctual and comes out whenever I call. He is very reliable. I would like it if he put it on his calendar and came out regularly. He thinks cleaning the gutters twice a year is enough, but sometimes I have to call him three or four times. It would be more convenient for me if he comes out more than twice.

The estimator had given us a higher estimate which was revised to a lower charge after actually doing the work. This business is probably the most honest I have come across! I would recommend them highly both for their work and for their work ethic.

We have worked with Hazen before for roof repair. We contacted them about our gutters because they worked out so well last time. Also, a big factor is the company is fully insured, meaning they carry Workers Compensation coverage. In Indiana, homeowners can be sued in the event a worker sustains a serious injury. A waiver is not enough to protect a homeowner. We ALWAYS seek our FULLY insured contractors. The workers did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. Only the new functioning gutters would show they had been there. We will always consider David Hazen Group when we need work done around the house. Let's see, that will likely be interior painting and a roof!

Duane and Boyd were very particular about the details and knew how the work should be done. The men who worked on the repairs were skilled, polite and patient. The roofer and the carpenters worked in cold, windy weather to get the job finished, and we were pleased with the quality of the work and the fact that they stayed on the job until it was done. They gave us an estimate immediately, and began the work within two weeks of our acceptance. We appreciated the prompt response and quality of workmanship.
