Description of Work: On March 29th I ordered an Angie's List deal --- Jeff's Handyman and Painting -- $399 for two exterior painters for a day. I called Jeff and he was very rude until I explained that I had purchased his services through Angie's List and then he was less rude. He said he would check his schedule and call me back. He never called back and every time I called him (I believe it was four times) he said he would check his schedule and call me back. Never ever did I receive a return call. |I called Angie's List and was referred to David Hazen Group. I received a call from Troy, the painter, and we agreed that he would paint on the 13th, 14th or 15th. He called on Wednesday, May 4th, and wanted to start the next day at 8 am on Thursday the 5th. He and a second painter showed up at 3:15 pm and painted until 4:30 pm. He said they would return the next day to finish the job. On Friday the 6th, Jeff showed up by himself at 8:15 stating that the second painter had an emergency and he would be painting by himself. At 12:15 he stated he had to leave. He told me that he makes no money from Angie's List deals and had to work the job in around other more important jobs. He said he would return on Sunday the 8th. On Sunday he called and said that he forgot it was Mothers' Day and his working that day was not going over well at home and he would not be coming but would return on Tuesday the 10th. He returned at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday the 11th at 7:30 and I needed to leave for the day so I'm unaware of how the time was spent. He called me at 2 pm and stated that I had received all that I was due from the Angie's List deal and that he could come back and finish the job for $50. He said he would called me on Friday the 13th and come back to paint on Saturday the 14th. This is Sunday the 15th and I have yet to hear from him. By my calculations I have received 13 hours of painting which is not two painters for a day. I feel entitled to 16 hours. I think Angie's List is a rip off and I will not be purchasing any "deals" again. I subscribed to painting on March 29th and the job has yet to be completed. Why would I use Angie's List again? I'm very disappointed and feel cheated. My schedule does not allow workers to come for short periods of time whenever they feel like it. I will be more than sure to tell anyone thinking of using Angie's List of my experience.

Description of Work: Contacted them to repair my roof with reasonable price, arriving on time and worked professionally. The only complaint is that they are hard to get hold of, i guess they may only one personal work on the scheduling or communication with the customer, i maybe wrong but you can always leave a message and they will get back to you usually 2 days or later.
