THEY WERE EASY TO GET A HOLD OF...WE SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR THEM TO COME OUT TO GIVE ME A BID. THE SERVICE PERSON SHOWED UP ON TIME. HE EXPLAINED CLEARLY ALL THE OF THE WORK THAT I NEEDED DONE. HE ALSO NOTICED A PROBLEM WITH THE ROOFING AND GOT UP ON THE ROOF AND DISCOVERED SOME WOOD ROT THAT NEEDED FIXED. I AM SELLING MY HOUSE AND HAD AN INSPECTOR COME OUT. HE SAID THE GUTTERS ARE CROOKED, DENTED, AND HUNG INCORRECTLY. NOTHING WAS FIXED ACCORDING TO WHAT HORIZON TOLD ME ORIGINALLY. THEY SAID A TECH WOULD COME OUT AND WRITE OUT WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. HE FINALLY CAME OUT SEVERAL DAYS LATE AND THEN DIDNT EVEN WRITE ANYTHING ON THE SHEET THAT HE LEFT. THE PRESIDENT TOLD ME THAT THEY DONT SPECIALIZE IN GUTTER REPAIR,SO THEY SUBCONTRACTED THE GUTTER REPLACEMENT. THERE WAS MISCOMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE SUBCONTRACTOR AND HORIZON THAT I HAD TO TAKE CARE OF. I TOLD THEM I WANTED WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO DO IN WRITING. THEY SAID THEY WOULD TAKE OF THINGS, BUT NEVER DID. THEY WERE GIVEN MANY CHANCES AND I AM BEYOND EVEN TRYING TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEM. I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
Description of Work: GUTTERS NEEDED REPAIRED...THEY CAME TO DO AN ESTIMATE AND SAID THEY WOULD BE OUT THE NEXT DAY. A FEW DAYS LATER, I CALLED THEM AS I HADNT HEARD ANYTHING. THEY SAID THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE THE GUTTERS AND NEEDED A DIFFERENT KIND (THUS THE REASON FOR THE DELAY). DURING THIS TIME THEY LEFT THE GUTTERS IN THE YARD. THEY KEPT PROMISING THEY WOULD COME OUT. FINALLY THEY SAID THAT THE GUTTERS WERE HUNG INCORRECTLY AND THEY WOULD NEED A DIFFERENT, MORE EXPENSIVE GUTTER. THEY OFFERED THE ORIGINAL QUOTE, WHICH I SAID WAS NOT NECESSARY AS I WAS WILLING TO PAY THE COST, BUT HE CONFIRMED THEY WOULD STICK WITH THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. THE INVOICE CAME WITH AN AMOUNT HIGHER THAN THAT OF THE ORIGINAL QUOTE. FINALLY THEY SAID THEY WOULD TAKE THE ADDITIONAL CHARGED OFF. THE GUTTER IS STILL LEAKING!

THIS REPORT IS NOT ACCURATE. THE CUSTOMER IS MAD FOR REASONS BEYOND OUR CONTROL. WE DID EVERYTHING THIS CUSTOMER ASKED FOR. THE ORIGINAL BID WAS TOO MUCH MONEY, SO SHE DECIDED TO FIX ONLY ONE GUTTER. THEN AFTER HER INSPECTOR TOLD HER SHE NEEDED THE REST OF HER GUTTERS FIXED, SHE CALLED DEMANDING WE FIX ALL OF HER GUTTERS. I TOLD HER THAT I WOULD LIKE TO MEET TO SEE THE INSPECTORS REPORT. SHE REFUSED TO MEET.

WE DID HAVE TROUBLE WITH THIS CUSTOMER. WE HAD LOST HER RECORD DUE TO OUR DATABASE CRASHING. WHEN SHE CALLED BACK THE SECOND TIME WE WERE IN THE MIDDLE OF GUTTER SEASON. I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO GIVE ANY BIDS AT THAT POINT. SHE STATED THAT SHE COULD NOT GET AHOLD OF US. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY SHE HAD TROUBLE. WE HAVE A FULL TIME OFFICE MANAGER WHO WORKS 9-4, M-F. I GAVE HER AN ESTIMATE AND TOLD HER WE COULD DO THE WORK THAT WEEK. I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HER. I CALLED HER TWICE.

WE WERE PLACED ON THEIR GUTTER CLEANING SCHEDULE FOR DAYS FROM THE TIME OF THE CALL, AND THEY SHOWED UP AS PROMISED. THE CREW SEEMED TO KNOW THEIR BUSINESS, BUT THE LEADER WAS SOMEWHAT FLIPPANT BUT A GOOD SALESMAN, SELLING ME ON GUTTER SCREENS AFTER THE CLEANING. THE CLEANING WAS DONE, THE SCREENS INSTALLED. THE NEXT GOOD RAIN REVEALED THAT ONE DOWNSPOUT HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED OUT AND THE COMPANY CAME OUT THE NEXT DAY AND DISLODGED THE OBSTRUCTION AT NO FURTHER COST. THE FIRST TEAM WAS A LITTLE LESS THAN PROFESSIONAL. IF THE GUTTERS NEED CLEANING AGAIN I BELIEVE I WOULD CALL THEM BECAUSE THE PRICE WOULD BE ABOUT ONE-THIRD LESS.

THE SHINGLES WERE LATE. WE NEVER HAVE SHINGLES DELIVERED AHEAD OF TIME BECAUSE WE HAVE HAD THEM STOLEN. SINCE THE SHINGLES WERE DELIVERED ONE DAY LATE, WE HAD TO TARP THE CUSTOMERS ROOF DUE TO THE RAIN IN THE FORECAST. WHEN THE RAIN HAD STOPPED, WE FINISHED THE WORK. THERE WAS NO LEAKING WHILE THE TARP WAS ON THE ROOF. FROM TIME TO TIME IT IS NECESSARY TO USE TARPS IN THE ROOFING BUSINESS. AS A RESULT OF THIS COMPLAINT, HORIZON SERVICES HAS MADE A NEW COMPANY POLICY TO NEVER START A JOB UNTIL SHINGLES STATUS HAS BEEN CONFIRMED.
