Control Tech replaced our broken 20 year old system with a new TRANE furnace and air conditioner in July of 2013. In August of 2014 we were having humidity so badly inside our house that even our towels and sheets felt damp as if they had been taken out of a dryer too soon. I called Control Tech twice who came out to my house both times and declared that it was because the outside humidity was high. When I became ill in the fall, I called them out again and their tech discovered mold in our crawl space. The duct work under the house was not completely sealed, which they did not bother to tell us during the installation, and so the humid air from the air conditioner was blowing into the crawl and combined with the ambient air, had created a severe mold problem. The cost for mitigation was over ten thousand dollars. After researching and talking to other HVAC people, we learned that Control Tech had oversized our air conditioning unit by a ton. When your unit is too large for the square footage of the house, it does not work properly in removing humidity . We tried to ask Control Tech to make it right....they were to seal the duct work and change out part of the air return and then have their sister company, Mighty Ducts, clean our vents system of the mold, ( all at a cost to us), but when they suspected we were blaming them, they literally walked out on the job and left us hanging. Our mold mitigation company then had to scramble to find other companies who could help us so we were not stuck in a hotel, also expensive, for longer than necessary. As of the recent heat wave, we are still having problems. The humidity levels in our crawl and house remained good all winter and spring, but with the recent warmth, we had to turn on the air which has caused the humidity levels to again spike...because the air conditioning unit is too large. In addition, the upstairs air vents are not working properly so the temperature upstairs is a fill 8 degrees higher than downstairs. I am still paying off the loan( 10,000 dollars) for the first unit and can't afford to replace the entire thing with the properly sized unit, and Control Tech refuses to make their error right. They have blamed the entire problem on the fact that we have three structural vents into our crawl which we have had the entire 32 years we have lived in our house. We had no problems of this nature until we made the mistake of trusting Control Tech. If crawl vents cause such problems, one would think that we would have had problems at some point before, but we did not because our air unit was previously the proper size. if you are considering an HVAC company, stay far away from this one. We have spent thousands of dollars, had health problems and will likely have to spend more money before this nightmare is over. And potentially, we have lost value on our house when we go to sell it because we have to declare we have had a mold problem. We had a guarantee on this expensive unit, but Control Tech will not honor their commitment. They literally turned their back on making this right.

Everything has been perfect. they are eager to help you in anyway they can. Taught me how to use the computer pad installed on the wall. You can remotely control the heat and air in house.

It was a pleasure working with Control Tech, from the sales to the installation. Everyone was friendly and professional. Our sales representative answered all of our questions and concerns. The installation went very well and was done according to our expectations. The installation was very tidy and well done. They left our home very clean. The furnace is very quiet and is working well. We are 100% happy.

It went very good. Tony D is a wonderful service tech. He was excellent and very thorough he did a very good job explaining the meter readings. He was telling me the options that I had since I was still under warranty. We are going to keep an eye on the heat pump for now. Everyone at control tech from the receptionist to the tech are very very good.

They have been reliable. So far so good. They don't make you wait whole day, they come at a certain time which is very nice.

It went very well and I was very happy with them. It was a good sales experience and they did a very good job of citing the equipment. They appear to have done an excellent job of installation and were very tidy. I decided on using them for their cost and professionalism.

We are being relocated and the relocation company requires us to have an inspection then address anything on the report even before we sell the house. The inspector noticed some rust on the housing of the furnace. Our realator recommended Control Tech so I gave them a call. They were very responsive, came out to the house right away. The serviceman saw the rust and couldn't figure out why it was there and the only thing he could think of was it must be a leak in the coil. He couldn't find a leak but had no idea what else it might be. His recomendation was to replace the coil for $1786.00. Initially I said ok to fix it but when my husband saw the report he said it made no sense. I called and told the office not to order the part we would get back to them. At this time we called another company that had done work for us before. They did an inspection and he could tell exactlly what caused the rust on the deck of furnace. It had been a condensation blockage that had been fixed and rust was just surface rust and the furnace was working just fine. So one of two things happened with Control tech. #1 the tecnician didn't know what he was doing and was taking a shot in the dark and or #2 he was trying to sell me parts I didn't need feeling like he could take advantage of a homeowner.

We have a program with them. They are excellent.

They are great. I won’t use anyone else. I wasn't sure how to work the thermostat so they showed me how to work it. They were very patient when explaining. I've very pleased with their service.

Hank arrived within an hour after placing an after hours call at 1030pm. He was very professional as all the Control Tech team is that we have had in our home. He quickly determined the issue, provided the estimate to complete the work and had our home warming up in less than an hour. As always I was impressed by his responsiveness, concern that I understood what had happened and how it would be fixed. We have used Control Tech for over 8 years and will continue to use and recommend them. Keep up the great work.

Very well, they are a great company. We have used their services for over ten years.

Our Home inspector found that the heat exchanger in the furnace (original to the home from 1999) was cracked and would soon fail. Control Tech was contacted to determine the cost of replacing that heat exchanger and to consider other options. We worked with Clay Winters who came up with a total of 6 different options at a broad spectrum of prices. He would have been happy to simply replace the heat exchanger in the furnace, which would have been the least expensive option. With no undue sales pressure, he talked us through the various options and we eventually settled on a Lennox 98% efficient unit with a variable stage fan. The high efficiency of the unit coupled with the fact that the fan would also help decrease cooling costs in the summer sold us. Clay came to the home to discuss the options and while we toured the utility room and the exterior of the house, he noticed two things that I would like to highlight. First, the smell of gas on the exterior of the house. We immediately called the Gas company and they arrive to attempt to fix it. Had Clay not noticed, who knows if the house would still be standing. The gas company left the gas line off because the technician noticed that the regulator inside the home was both improperly located and leaking. With the Gas inside the home off, there was no hot water. We contacted Clay and he had the team come out to make the necessary repairs so that we could have hot water. Clay also noticed that the previous furnace installers positioned the air filter system such that replacing the filter required removing doors from the utility closet. He made a note for the installers to move the filter system so that would no longer be necessary. This seemingly obvious detail was anything but. We would have had no idea this was possible but Clay this attention to detail was something we really appreciated. The unit was installed about a week later. The install team arrived on time and diligently worked to get everything installed. They were totally professional and cleaned up after themselves. They were also able to move the air filter without much difficulty. I write this review 5 months later. The furnace has been performing like a champ. The home is warm, and the variable speed fan is great. I whole heartedly recommend Control Tech and will continue to call on them should we have any additional HVAC issues.

This installation was our first with Control Tech. They impressed us from the sale and beyond. Great Service and value.

After having an inspection and maintenance on our furnace and AC from another company whom informed us that the system is barely functional and won't last the winter. I wanted a second opinion. I found Control Tech through Costco. Control techs rep came to our home and gave us a quote reasonable, very informative. Without knowing we had another company out; we asked him if our current system was on the verge of dying. He said no. We should be fine, however, the aged a/c will more than likely go first (2-3 years max). WOW!!! Honesty, a rare commodity. We decided to wait until the summer to replace it; and plan to use Control tech. Do yourself a favor call them! Pros: Honesty, No Pressure; Informative Cons: None

The service tech arrived on time and was able to perform routine maintenance on the furnace quickly and efficiently. He checked all the systems, found no problems and replaced the filter. This service was performed under the yearly service contract I buy from them each year. They perform a furnace service and an A/C service for $140 under the contract, with no additional fees - unless a repair is required. Purchasing the contract also makes sure you're at the top of the list if you have an emergency call. I can tell you from experience that they also service in the middle of the night and show up very quickly if your heat goes out! We've used this company for years and they were the ones who installed our furnace and central air unit around 15 years ago. They have always been courteous, prompt, efficient, and do their very best to keep repair costs low. I've had the same service tech - Mike - for years. This isn't some huge national company with greenhorn techs who hit you for crazy repairs you don't need. Mike has many years of experience, prefers to fix things if at all possible, and doesn't recommend replacement of major parts unless it's absolutely necessary. Over the years, we have had several large repairs required and they always worked with us to make sure it was done to our satisfaction. This is a family owned company that treats its employees and its customers right. I wouldn't even consider going to anyone else.

Professional person showed up at the promised time. He was very thorough in the cleaning of the furnace and humidifier, changed the filters on both, cleaned up the area when completely finished and explained what he had done and why. This is part of the yearly service maintenance contract I have with this company. I have used them for 21 years and they always take excellent care of me.

They did a great job. They came prepared with all the filters I needed for the humidifier and furn. They found a part that needed to be replaced under warranty. They showed me the part so I could see it was going bad. They took care of it so I only had to pay for the labor. They explained if I had waited till after the warranty I would have had to pay more money and would have had water in my basement.

They come every six month. It is a packaged deal. I have used them for probably 5 years. They did a good job and I have no complaints.

They did a good job. They were about maybe $2,500 less than their nearest competition. The gentleman who came out to give us the bid was much better organized, was able to print something out right away at that time as opposed to having to go back and call us a couple of days later. It was all neatly printed out in a pre-printed form, itemized, everything. The end result was very good.

I received my referral to Control Tech from Costco. Knowing we would need to replace our aging furnace, I had estimates from other top rated heating and cooling contractors. Control Tech's pricing beat the others enabling us to get a higher efficiency system. They actually file the Vectren rebates for us where others just give you the paperwork to file for yourself. The salesperson Clay was personable, professional and knowledgeable. Installers were the same. Very courteous as well. They were in my home during the installation and I never felt uncomfortable. Very good experience on all fronts.

It went great. We selected Control Tech because of their professionalism and the fact they installed this particular system. I had other HVAC contractors try to talk me out of the Mr. Slim but we felt it was the best fit for our house with the physical limitations of the structure. They completed the installation as agreed; helped me file the paperwork for the Utility rebate since this product was so energy efficient; they came back 2 times to be sure the units were working correctly. We waited to give our review to see how this unit would handle both the cooling and heating. We knew the limitations of the heating on this system when we purchased it. in the depth of last winter we had to call them out to look at the unit; they were responsive and got there in a good amount of time. They came out at a time that was both prompt and convenient for us.

We had scheduled a full furnace replacement for later in September. When our furnace blower stopped working, I called them first. They "fixed" it and moved our furnace blower installation forward in the event the "fix" didn't hold. Jim the repairman was friendly and professional. Clay our sales person made me feel like our family's comfort and air conditioning were his only concern. We were his top priority.

It was an excellent experience. It was a 2 day job; they installed it one day and they came back a second time to finish up; they sent someone else back to inspect the finish job. They also cleaned up very well.
