I highly recommend this company. My AC went out saturday evening around 10:00 p.m. Given the heat wave, I was concerned that it would be days before anyone could get to me. I called the after hours emergency service around 11:00 p.m. and left a message. Sunday morning at 7:15 a.m. I received a return call. By 8:45 a.m. someone was at my home working on the AC. The technician explained all pricing up front, and explained what he would be doing/checking. All in all, a great experience. They were so responsive and so informative, I purchased the service plan. I don't plan on using anyone else for my HVAC needs. Folks, if you're looking for a HVAC company - go to these people.

Their $80 charge just to come out to the house turns out to be quite high compared with other highly rated providers. Additionally, they proposed to check for leaks in our system, but charge $100-$200 for this. They also quoted us for a new unit and quoted a lower end, average and upper end unit to give us a spectrum of choices. The reps were on time, very professional and appeared knowledgeable in HVAC. However, less than 30 days after their visit, our unit broke down again. We found another provider who ended up driving much further than Control Tech and only charged us $40 for the visit. They performed a leak test on the whole unit (coils included) for only $20. They also quoted us 3 units (lower end, average, and upper end) and all 3 quotes were approximately 50% of the prices that Control Tech quoted us (same brands). Any repair from our other provider was guaranteed for 90 days unlike Control Tech, however we chose to go with a new unit instead. While our experience with the reps from Control Tech was first rate, their quality of work on our unit was questionable and their prices were poor.

I called about 9:30 on monday and the appt was set for noon on monday. I was very pleasantly suprised to get such a quick appt. David showed up at 12 on the dot. He checked the furnace area, then went outside to check the air unit. He came back in several minuted and told me the capacitor was bad and that they have the part i need in the warehouse...he was able to quote the price immediately including all parts and labor. After getting my husbands approval for the repair cost David was able to go to the warehouse, get the part, come back, and finish the repair within the hour. I was very pleased by the knowledge and efficiency of the process.

Although I'm very behind on writing this review, I wanted to express my appreciation for the good service I have received. I've been using Control Tech since moving to my home in 2010. I chose them because they installed the furnace for the previous owners. I have a multi year service contract for both the A/C and furnace. Scheduling service is a breeze; service reminder cards are sent. Every technician I have encountered as been professional, courteous and punctual (early even). Thank you for such great service! So much better than other companies I have used in the past.

My air conditioner kept tripping the circuit breaker in my main circuit breaker box and, as a result, kept turning off. Another contractor came and told me that the compressor was going bad and I needed a new air conditioner costing nearly $4,000.00. I decided to get a second opinion from Control Tech. I called and was able to make an appointment for later in the morning of the same day. The technician - I think his name is Tony - arrived exactly on time and thoroughly checked the air conditioner. He told me there was nothing wrong with my air conditioner. He then checked the circuit breaker and determined that the problem was with the circuit breaker. Control Tech had to obtain a replacement part, but they fixed it by the end of the same day. I do not know whether the price charged was reasonable for the service performed, but it was certainly a lot less than the cost of a new air conditioner, and installing a new air conditioner would not have fixed the problem. I was pleased to have my air conditioner working again.

My air conditioner fan stopped working overnight so it was not pumping cool air. After researching Angie's List & reading reviews, I selected Control Tech. Called Control Tech at 7:15am & told them the issue. The lady on the phone asked if I was home so she could send someone right out. I was at work, but scheduled an appointment for 10am that morning. They called 5 minutes before 10am, saying that the prior job was taking longer than expected & would call me with an update. Called back in about 10 minutes saying the service tech was on his way & he arrived around 10:30am (which was OK since it was the 2nd day of 100+ temps & they were busy). When he arrived, he was very courteous. Asked about the problems with the air conditioner. He checked inside & then the air conditioning unit outside. Came back in about 10 minutes & explained the issue was with the capacitor. He also explained that since the unit was left on there is a slight chance that the compressor itself could have an issue since it was overheating & shutting itself off since the fan did not work. He quoted me the price, told me he had to run to get a capacitor & that would also be enough time for the compressor to cool down. He was back in the house in 45 minutes with the air conditioner running. I liked the fact that they were fast,very courteous, explained everything (included all the costs associated) & answered my questions. I also felt they were very honest with the repair & cost. I was very satisfied with the work that was performed & would definitely use them again.

They are prompt, and professional. They are reasonably priced. I will utilize their services again.

We had been using another company for our annual plumbing, heating, and cooling checks. We were told late May that our 9 year old A/C had very limited life left. A week later it was dead. The compressor ( an expensive part to replace) had gone belly up. The other company came out to give us an estimate to repair and an estimate to replace. However they were really pushing for the big package deal of A/C AND furnace replacement... despite their earlier inspection that the furnace was fine. SOOOOoooo I got online and found Comfort Tech at 11pm (via Angie's List). Put in an online request. 7:30 the next morning I had a call from them. By 9:00 the rep from Comfort Tech was here. Confirmed the need for a new a/c and never pushed the idea of a new furnace. I really appreciated it. In fact he encouraged us to not look at a new furnace... (not broke... don't fix it). He also made a call to be sure that the current system was not under any warranty that would cover the replacement. TWO big signs of integrity. I liked this guy already. When he showed me the systems ... they were the same as the other company and while still expensive... they were $1700 less than my first bid. $1700!!!! Not only that but the crew who installs had just finished another job and was at our home in 30 min. We were so impressed. The guys were each professional, polite, and answered every question I had. Our annual maintenance plan will be switching to Comfort Tech!

We got an estimate from 3 different companies to replace our heating and air system. We selected Control Tech to do the work. They did the work in a timely manner and we were satisfied that they did a good job.

Early arrival for appt. Explained upon arrival functions he was going to perform. Temp that day was cool so he had to wrap the outside unit. Very nice & professional service tech.

If anything goes wrong they come out and fix it for free. They are A1 and the price is good.

Tech (Tony) came out right away but was unable to perform any services and charged me $89. Spent 10 minutes in house and stayed in my driveway for 30 minutes doing who knows what. Basically he said he couldn;t work on either unit becasue the units started to freeze. That he needed the units to be free of ice before he could perform the test to see what was needed. Why didn't he say this on the phone prior to arrival?! Is this common in order to make a 100% profit from people? We have a large home and I think these guys think easy money when they come inside. Don't use these guys if your home is over 2,500 square feet - plenty of other companies out there. Also, they don't take credit cards over the weekend, had to pay by check.

We are on a contract with them. They come out to do a routine check of my system. I have been using them for years.

This was our first time using Control Tech. We had used another company for years and things with them weren't going well. The appointment was very easy and conveinent to schedule. The tech was able to come earlier than expected and call to verify that this was ok. The tech was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I purchased the 3 checks package. I look forward to working with Control Tech in the future.

Control Tech put in new heating and air conditioning units at our home. They worked very quickly and displayed professionalism. The staff was very courteous and cleaned up well after themselves. We are pleased with the work performed and will use them again in the future if needs arise.

The president of the company along with our salesman came to keep an eye on things.They don't typically come on service calls, but they do come from time to time.. We bought a Trane furnace from them several years ago, and the follow-up service has been excellent. Our daughter has nasal allergies and has had asthma in the past, so naturally we want to have excellent indoor air quality to help prevent any asthma attacks. They spent a great deal of time cleaning every inch of the filter and humidifier to prevent dust mites and mold, two of the things she is allergic to. They were personable and professional. We really couldn't ask for more in terms of service from this company.
