We have used Control Tech before and they have been very responsive. They came out within an hour this last time. We found out that the air compressor needed replaced and it was replaced immediately.

The heat pump in our home stopped working, so I called Control Tech. It was after business hours, but it was quite a cold evening and we have an infant at home. The technician arrived a couple of hours later - slightly earlier than the time quoted to us on the phone. He tested the system multiple times both inside and outside. He determined that there was a blown fuse, as well as two electrical shorts - one inside and one outside. He replaced the fuse and fixed the inside short. This allowed for emergency heat to run over night. Then he quoted us a price for the outside repair since he would have to come back when he could see it better in the morning. He returned in the morning and made the repair.

Alan and his team are great. I have used Control Tech in the past for maintenance, and Alan has given me a few quotes on new systems over the years. But let's face it- a new furnace is a grudge purchase, and my old furnace never failed enough to warrant a new one- until this month. It was nice knowing who to call, because when it's cold and you have no heat, time becomes critical. Control Tech got their team out that same day, and they actually installed it the day I called! I told all my friends aobut it and they couldn't believe it. They had to come back out later to move the water heater and incinerator, but I appreciated thier efforts to get heat in the house when it was needed. Every person seems to be a true professional in every way. By that I mean they all demonstrate a high degree of knwoledge and experience, they are courteous, give good advice, clean up after themselves, and do great work. The layout of the pipes and tubes that come out of the furnace going to this or that is extremely neat, they didn't do things like slop PVC cleaner and glue all over the pipes- they do it right. Alan has built a marvelous team, and we won't use anyone else. We feel we can trust what they tell us, which goes a long way, and they made sure to provide rebate ifnfo from Citizens Gas and Lennox to ease the cost to us.

I couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism demonstrated by both Clay - who came out and gave me the quote - and George -who took only a couple of hours to install the system. Both were friendly, informative and a pleasure to do business with. The price was right as well. I had to wait a couple of weeks for installation because they seem to be in high demand in my area, but it was well worth the wait. In fact I have been so impressed with their professionalism, both this time and on past service calls, that I am going to have them do the semi-annual HVAC system maintenance on both my home and my rental property.

The HVAC system in my 1950's limestone ranch left quite a bit to be desired, especially in terms of air flow. Jim B. with Control Tech accurately identified the problem a couple of years ago, but I had not acted on his recommendations. When Jim came back out this Fall, he remembered the plenum problem and noticed it was worse than before. The original plenum under my furnace had rusted away and a substantial portion of the heated air was leaking out before it could even get into the ducts. Since it's a down-draft furnace, the entire unit had to be removed in order to fabricate and install a new plenum. While they were at it, my 30+ year old Whirlpool AC unit needed to be replaced so they did the entire job at once. Control Tech was awesome, as they always are, and I have been using them exclusively since I bought this money pit back in 2009. Their pricing is more than competitive, but their technicians are the reason for my loyalty. They have always been professional and most importantly, knowledgeable, and they don't leave your property until the job is done completely and done right. Kudos to Tony R., who was able to give my ancient AC unit two more decent years of service and Ben, who just today finished the plenum replacement and AC install. I would highly recommend Control Tech for all of your HVAC needs.

We have had an issue with humidifier drain backing up and getting the floor wet. The tech came out identified the issue, discussed the possible solutions and completed the work very efficiently. What really impressed me was that the tech worked with another person over the phone, taking pictures of the issue and sending them, so that together they could come up with the best fix. The rework of the drain has kept the floor dry.

Because we had two air conditioning units replaced in July, we were given 2 free furnace check ups. Upon the inspection, the technician determined that we needed to replace our old 19 year old furnace. Brad Odom came to our home. Brad is very nice, and knowledgeable. He came to our home several years ago to give quotes for both of our air conditioning units, and both of our heating units. When one of our air conditioning units died during the summer, we called Brad, and a couple of other companies to get quotes. Control Tech was competative, and because a neighbor had used them and was pleased, we opted to go with Control Tech. Because of our good experience, we had no reservations in getting another unit from Control Tech. David and Brian were the technicians that removed and installed our new unit. They were meticulaous....I appreciated that they wore footies, put down tarps, and cleaned up after themselves beautifully. They were very kind, professional, and efficient. The work took the better part of the day. We were very pleased overall with Control Tech.... Our electric bill was about half of what it had been before our air conditioners were replaced....we look forward to lower gas bills now as well.

Control Tech worked with me on scheduling a time to work on my home. Since I am single I don't have someone around to let them in at just any time. They technician called 30 minuted before he arrived so I could leave work and meet him. This was a big help to me.

I had used them for years but their price for a new HVAC system that I needed was way above the company that I had do the work. They were not even going to come close; their price was just out of this world so I decided not to use them. I had used them in the past for maintenance and had an annual service contract with them. I think their costs were kind of crazy.

Ralph showed up promptly and introduced himself. He listened to my concerns and I showed him to the furnace. Once he was finished cleaning the furnace and making sure it was ready for the winter, he shared a lot of valuable information. He let me know exactly what type of filter I may want to use in the future and offered to provide one. He also offered to extend a pipe from my air conditioner to my drain, as the pipe is short and water runs across the concrete floor for a few feet in my basement. Ralph also let me know they could replace my humidifier, which I knew was not working, if I was interested. Although I did not take him up on those changes, he was not pushy. I appreciated him letting me know what they could do and the price of each project, while allowing me to make the final decision without pressure. I did sign up for their service agreement. The service agreement included the furnace tune up and will also include an air conditioning check up in the spring. The contract will cover most service call fees, if it is needed throughout the rest of the year. Ralph was friendly and professional.

They were able to come out on 10/24 due to a cancellation. They are a very nice company to work with. They service my heat pump twice a year. I bought a head on the service contract, and by doing so I have been able to save quite a bit with the services. I have to have it serviced twice a year for the warranty to hold up, so I bought multiples in advance to cover it. This is a wonderful HVAC company.

Overall, the experience was good. They were timely, prompt, and they called beforehand to confirm the appointment. They did a great job with the cleaning, too!

Control Tech was very professional over the phone and sent a truck over ASAP to solve our furnace problem. The technician was excellent and I will recommend this company to anyone for Heating/AC issues.

They are a fantastic company to work with. They arrive on time, and I trust them to be in my home even if I am not there.

Ok, so they took longer than expected to service my boiler. But they did it, and did it well. They also did it for about 3000 less than another company suggested. Way to go!

AC didn't work after winter. Service guy said we needed a new thermostat. About $250 just for that but then system still didn't work. He explained that he needed then to fix some feedback within the system. OK fine but that was testable when he was there. Then he said that the heat exchanger was cracked and that he turned the gas off since he couldn't by policy leave the system functioning due to safety concerns. I was glad that he did that though it is still odd that he inspected the furnace since they were called out for the AC. I had to dig with the main office to find out that the previous owner had Control Tech out just before I bought the house earlier this year, they found the crack back then, but the sellers didn't disclose it. Control Tech should have been more forthright on that. I should not have had to extract that info. It was even the same technician who was there both times. I was expecting to have to replace the furnace eventually but not right away. I got a quote from them. They provided various combinations of effiiciencies for furnace and AC. They wouldn't provide any data to estimate the payback period to go from say a 90% efficiency furnace or 13 SEER AC to the next better. I figured it out myself. I got a lower quote from Precision Air. They were more forthright on options, etc. I called Control Tech to see if they could come down close enough to the apples vs apples quote. Instead, Clay bumped the price up (though the quote was only maybe 6 weeks old). Precision Air's reviews on Angie's list were a bit better and they deserve it. Service was very good. The job was spotless. The Carrier AC is very quiet. Carrier is right here in Indy.

After looking at the A/C unit, they told me it would be over $2000 to repair the unit, and they strongly suggested I get a new unit instead, for over $3500. Then to top it off they charged me $89 for the service call. I decided to get a second opinion, and the second contractor told me I just needed some refrigerant, which they did at that time and charged me $179. So I wound up paying Control Tech $89 for nothing - I should have called Lamping Huser in the first place!

I had an appointment with Control Tech for November 6th but was wanting to schedule the service sooner. Control Tech put me on a standby list and called a few days later saying they had a cancellation and could work me in. Chris was my technician. He called to let me know he was on his way. I was very impressed with Chris. He was very professional, and took time to explain his findings with the inspection. I would definitely ask for him next time.

Given the historic heat wave (and the fact that my wife was 8 months pregnant at the time) time was of the essence. I contacted control tech Sunday night. They were at our home by Monday afternoon. They quickly found the problem, and ordered the part. My one complaint was that it took 3 days for the part to come in (we apparently have an uncommon unit). Once received, they installed it quickly, and even gave us a discount. Good experience overall.

Design Technician Brad Odom came to house at appointed time - we had just moved in and knew we wanted to replace the HVAC system as it was more than fifteen years old, continuing viability suspect and efficiency less than desired. Brad performed a comprehensive assessment and while at his visit was able to present three different options at various price points. We selected a mid-range package. Installation was scheduled as expected. Two installers were both professional and as unobtrusive as possible - given the size of the project! Tried hard to keep dust and dirt from rest of house. Particularly pleased with post-installation actions. Brad processed the paperwork for us to get rebates from gas and electric company. He came by several weeks after installation to check it over. We have used this company before for annual maintenance and minor repairs in our previous home. Always a good experience, from scheduling appointments to interacting with the technicians. A great company.

I found them on Angie’s List. They were terrific and did a good job. They completed the job really quickly. My husband and I were happy and pleased with them. I am not sure how their pricing stood out in comparison to others as I never compared it to anybody.

The friendly service man arrived ahead of schedule for our 10:00 am appointment (a good thing IMHO). He thoroughly cleaned the inside and out of the outside (compressor) unit, and then went into the attic to work on the fan unit. He said the filter was quite dirty (I am sure it was, it had not been changed in a while) and said he would replace it with a newer, better type, including an adapter to make it fit for free.The whole call was very professional and thorough and I will definitely use Control-Tech again.

The last time they had come out in an hour to fix my air conditioner when it quit on the day it was 105 degrees Fahrenheit here in Indianapolis, and it needed a new part replacement but instead they cleaned the old the part and fixed it just for the cost of the service call which I appreciated very much. I rate them very highly and I would use them again in the future.
