They were great. They were excellent. The price was in line with what air conditioners cost. I would have continued to use them but I got an offer from someone where I knew the family.

It was personalized. Clay was very knowlegable took time with me and answreed all of my questions. he presented several options that would meet my criteria. He would sale me material that qualify the energy star rebates one with the electric provider and the other with the federal governemt.

Needed to repair or replace my heat pump. Explored my options and had four quotes submitted. I decided to update the whole system. I chose Control Tech because it is a local, family-owned and operated business with the best prices. Clay explained what my options were. He gave me the advantages and disadvantages of all options. There were no high pressure sales techniques. I found their install technicians to be punctual and professional. I am very satisified with the new system and I would recommend them to anyone.

The work went very well and we were impressed by the professionalism of Brian, Jeremy, Sean and Cory who performed the work. They were very neat of careful in all aspects of the job and worked steadily for two full days to complete the job. We were well satisfied with the results of the installation. The new furnace is so quiet it's difficult to hear it running. We intend to use Control Tech to maintain the system on an annual basis.

My A/C unit is 10 years old. They gave me a quote to have the work done, but strongly urged me to just buy a new system. They gave me a quote for a new A/C system, but then recommended that I just get an entire new furnace, too. The total estimate was over $5K. Even though my system was only 10 years old they said it was close enough to 12 years old (the expected life of a unit) and I should just get a whole new system. I decided against it since I didn't have an extra $5K to buy a new system. The good news is that their charge up has worked the entire summer and things seem to be working great. I'm glad I didn't drop the $5K. Now, I could find myself in trouble if my unit collapses tonight, but I got another 3+ months out of it and if I can make it another 2 months I should be fine making it until next year. Better start saving. Anyway, very professional company, but very quick to do a rip and replace instead of repair.

They came out the same day I called, nice servicemen, very polite, honest.

The technician was friendly and considerate. Wore "footies" inside. He had to go in and out as he was working on both air conditioner and furnace. He was very punctual and his service call did not take very long. The company as a whole it very good at reminding you that it's time for service checks and we are a part of their service plan which is very affordable especially if parts are ever needed. We appreciate all their services.

We had them to install a new furnace and new duct work. We ended up really disappointed and I would not use them again. They did not perform the work they said they would when they gave us the quoted price and when asked about this they said they couldn't do what all they said they could when they gave us that estimate/quote. They said they cleaned the duct work and I really don't think that they did because stuff was blowing throughout it. I ended our services with them right away.

I originally thought my A/C unit was not large enough for my home. I called Control Tech and they sent out Clay to look at my system. He was both very knowledgeable and professional. He checked out the system, explained a number of things to me and gave me estimates on replacing either the A/C or the A/C and furnace both which I appreciated. Clay determined that my unit was the correct size and the problem may be with freon or another part. I called back at noon that same day and they scheduled a service call at 4PM just a few hours later. John their Technician came out and went over the system completely. He found a couple of worn parts, (replaced them), cleaned the coils and added freon. He was here almost three hours and again, he was very knowlegable and professional. My A/C has been fine since. Very pleased with this company and will be using them for all future services.

The installers, Ben & Josh, arrived on time. Both introduced themselves. Stated what they were going to do. Put down mats on the floor for protection. The air handler was installed in the attic which was extremely hot. The installer had to go up and down very narrow pull down steps leading to the attic all day making numerous trips. This was a very hot and humid day. The installers worked, except for a twenty minute lunch break, from 8 AM - 5PM. They cleaned all the work areas; garage, drive, attic and inside the house. Hauled away all junk and debris. Both installers very shoulder to the wheel work. After the job was completed and the installers left there was a very noticeable high whine coming from the attic heard throughout the house. Was not noticed at the time when the installers were present but very noticeable and irritating when the house was quiet. I called the company and the next day the company owner, Alan, arrived at our agreed appointed time and discovered it was not a mechanical problem with the air handler but simply two air vents vibrating due to the force of air passing over them. He took the air vents down, cleaned them, applied two strips of rubber caulking on the back side and reinstalled. The vibration gone. The house is cooling to the exact temperature set. This is a very professional company and the service was excellent.

Great. Didn't need parts; found a part that had come off and returned it to it's correct location. Worked quickly so I would not be charged "overtime" from the basic service visit cost of $89.

ControlTech installed our furnace in 2007 and we have used them ever since. They have been very good. Last year, they came out at 1am to fix my A/C. Today I contacted them to schedule the summer appointment for A/C maintenance, and was told first appointment available wasn't until August for scheduled service. This is disappointing that they are short staffed and taking appointments 90 days out. Update: Contractor has contacted me and we are working to get scheduled as needed.

The company does an exceptional job professionally and the quality of work is excellent. We have been excited about our ductless heating system they put in. I would recommend them to my family and friends.

I called when my furnace quit and they sent a repairman out immeidately. Once it was determined the system was too old to repair, someone was sent out that afternoon to go over the options with me and to discuss prices. Once a selection was made, the installation was scheduled the next day. The installers arrived promptly at the promised time and was able to install the furnace within about 6 hours. They even made sure the area was completely cleaned up after they were finished. I have used Control Tech over the last twenty years for all my heating/cooling problems and have always found them to be very efficient and pleasant.to work with. (They actually installed the original furnace for me) By having their service contract on my old furnace, they were able to keep it working well beyond expected. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

The technician arrived promptly and got to work. While cleaning one of the lines, a drain connection broke. Apparently it was a part that could not be repaired. At least he did not volunteer to fix it, but after completing his inspection and tune up, told us that we would need a new furnace. A sales person arrived quickly and gave us several viable options, but honestly, because of the way the first technician had handled his breaking of the old drain connection, we decided that we would not use Control Tech and arranged for a second company to come out and look at the furnace. Because the furnace was 21 years old, I didn't necessarily doubt that a new one was a good idea, but his breaking that part seemed to have put us in a place where there was now no other solution and we thought a second opinion would be a good idea. The second company also gave us several options, including replacing just the broken part. But because that was almost 1/3 the cost of a new furnace and the furnace was so old, we did get a new furnace, which the other company was able to install the next day.

After returning from work discovered that the furnace had failed and the house was getting rapidly colder on a day when temps were below 20 deg F. It was already after 6pm so needed after hours service. Rang company that had serviced it previously but they did not return my call in a timely manner. Searched Angieslist and found Control Tech who did call straight back and sent someone around within 90 mins. Problem was analysed as a part failure and unfortunately had to have it flown in from out of state which took nearly 2 days. Kept things from freezing using space heaters in the meantime. Part was then installed and has been working well since. Of course as this was out of hours service and out of state parts, it was not a cheap repair. However the responsiveness was great, including the follow through in trying to locate the part (for an 80% efficiency system), and overall they did the best job they could.

Our house has two air conditioning and two furnaces. It's an old house and so instead of tearing up the walls, they put one in the attic to do the upstairs and they put one in the basement to do the main floor. They have been very good. They were prompt, professional, they cleaned up after themselves, and they remembered to wear booties in my house. I think they are fairly priced. They don't seem to be trying to ratchet anything up, some places will come to you everytime and say you have this and that wrong but they do not do that. There are certain issues they'll bring to your attention but they're not trying always to upsell you.

They are very responsive. Called at 9:10 this morning and they were out by 10:30. They are knowledgeable, professional, personable, and efficient.

I recently purchased a home to use as a rental property. I was very quickly able to find a renter for the home, but found the 24 year old furnace was having issues. I got an estimate from the HVAC company which had previously worked on the furnace but I thought it was high. I needed to quickly make a call on a new furnace to allow the tenant to move in. The Control Tech estimator, Brad, was willing to give me a rough estimate over the phone late on a Thursday afternoon. This was very helpful and confirmed that my other estimate was out of line. Brad came to the house the next morning (Friday) to give me an official estimate. It was right in line with what he estimated over the phone and was actually $50 cheaper. I got quotes for an 80% efficiency unit and a 92% efficiency unit. The high efficiency unit was only an extra $400 so I decided on that. I told them I really needed the furnace in quickly so they got me scheduled for Monday. Installation was quick and professional. The unit works great and was $900 less than the other bid.

They confirmed some of my fears and suggested the unit needed replacement. I explained to the technician that I wouldn't be putting the most high end unit in my rental. They gave me 3 quotes on the low, middle and high end of the price spectrum. The middle unit was a Lennox brand quoted at $2650. I received another quote from another company on a Lennox air handler for $2000, and went with the better price. A similar situation occurred in July 2012 when I needed a new AC/heat pump unit. I ended up getting a new unit at about half the price of their best quote. Their technicians are some of the most professional I've ever encountered and they are extremely responsive, which makes me keep wanting to try to use them. Pricing just doesn't seem to be competitive.

furnance was 12 years old and had some problems in the past, rather than wait until it went out I decided to replace all of it. They showed up for the estimate on time and explained everything and the price. I agreed to have it installed later that week, they also were on time and did a nice job, the garage area was cleaner after they left than before they started. neat clean and quick. very nice job

My heat went out on my 15 year old unit right before the Thanksgiving holiday. Control Tech sent a technician out within two hours of my calling them. I made the decision to replace the unit rather than spend money repairing the existing unit. Control tech had a salesman onsite within 90 minutes. We ran through all the options and he was able to answer all my questions. Two days later a two-man crew showed up and installed the new system. They worked through some challenges with total professionalism. The new unit was heavier and taller than my old unit. The old unit was bolted to the wall so for the new unit they had to construct a stand to support its weight. I ordered a humidifier for the new unit and due to the limited space they had to construct a mounting box to attach it to the side of the unit where there was enough clearance. They also to do some plumbing to get water to the humidifier. Additionally they installed a new high tech thermostat to control everything. I also had Control Tech do a thorough cleaning of my ducts, including the dryer vent. The technician that did this work (the following week) was very professional and efficient.

Very satisfied....very professional, cleaned up after, took the time to explain during/after install. Would definitely use them again and highly recommend!!
