Cameron Fence

I requested additional repairs/adjustments be to made to the privacy fence prior to making payment. I even sent photos of the problem areas. Priya accused me of nit picking, screamed she was sending my account to collections (after 11 days?!) and then hung up on me. The company is under new ownership & no longer being managed with any integrity. It is very poor business practice to refuse to make adjustments/repairs to substandard and then hang up on a client with legitimate complaints who wants to pay you. Very disappointed in both work and lack of professionalism.

I had new fence rails installed on an existing split rail fence, which also had a metal dog fence attached on the inside. The work was done over a two-day time frame, and the employees were professional and stayed busy the whole time. The initial quality appears to be very good. The owner (Priya) was very easy to work with and very user-friendly and communicative. The price was appropriate I thought for the size of fence I have. And while on the job it was determined that a couple of posts needed to be replaced they did so without extra charge.

Repaired a fence in the backyard. Everything with the process went fine except for getting them to do the work. They required 50% payment upfront, which they would not accept on the phone, instead encouraging me to fax the signed estimate or go on their website to process it online. It was unclear on the website how to process the payment and estimate, so I sent an email through the website. Long story short, after several phone calls and frustrating interactions, we finally got the work done. We had other things going on in our lives at the time, otherwise I would have sought out another vendor rather than wasting so much time on the front end with them. | |

Working with Bill was very pleasant. We had to go a little round and round, but if you do a good project that is what you should do. His workers could of been a little more friendly. They worked and worked, but were somewhat unresponsive to questions or comments. It was fast and furious, you almost could not keep up with what part of construction was next.

Never happened

Called and left a message to get an estimate for fencing of our back yard, took them 2 days to return our phone call. On the day of the scheduled estimate they were a no show. When we called to find out if they were coming there was no answer and no return call. Very poor customer service.

They completed the job in one day and the fence looks great! They cleared the area where the fence was installed and cleaned up all materials in the backyard when completed. It has been a very wet spring and the yard was not damaged where they were working.

The quote was $3300. It was above our budget; it was too pricey for us. I didn't actually interact with him at all. My husband dealt with everything. He said that they were very nice, returned phone calls and came out for a scheduled quote. We didn’t actually use them. It was a quick response time. They were trusting and responsible.

My fence is looking nice. They did a great job.

I contacted fence companies in late February for quotes. I ultimately met with three companies and obtained quotes from all three. Cameron Fence Company had the best price hands down. I had to get a building permit ffrom our town and submit an architectural review form for our neighborhood, hence why it took nearly 8 weeks until the work was completed. All of the rain we had this Spring put a damper on how quickly the work could be performed as well. Bill Cameron came one rainy day to mark the places where the post holes should be dug. My husband was present for this to answer any questions. The next day was dry, so he sent his crew to dig the holes, pour the concrete and set the posts. Neither of us was present for this step. It rained for the next 5 or 6 days, so the next dry day he sent his crew of 2 men back to put of the stringers and palings. My husband was present for this part in case there were any questions. A couple of notes on cleanliness. I think they actually hauled away the dirt from digging the posts. I was surprised, because the other two fence companies didn't include that as part of the service and charged extra if you wanted them to haul away the dirt. The men who built the fence were very tidy. We only found a couple of tiny scraps of wood that they missed and they picked up after themselves in general. Bill and his crew were very conscientious of all of the rain and made sure our yard and our neighbors' yards weren't ruined in the process of building the fence.

Called and talked to Russ Cameron and he came out for a free estimate. His price was equal or better than most, plus i got to deal with the owner. I called him back to do the job and he gave me the date. They called the day before and verified they would be out the next day. They were prompt, did nice work and stayed within the estimate. It is pricey but it is a long-term service and it is worth it.

THEY CAME PROMPTLY FOR THE ESTIMATE, AND PROVIDED A DETAILED DRAWING WITH COST QUOTE, AT THE TIME OF THE ESTIMATE. THEY PROJECTED ABOUT A 10 DAY WAIT FOR THE INSTALLATION. THEY ARRIVED THE FOLLOWING WEEK WITH A 3-MAN CREW, ERECTED THE FENCE, CLEANED UP THE MESS, AND WERE DONE WITHIN 4 HOURS. THE FENCE IS STURDY. WE ARE PLEASED WITH THE WORK.

THEY PUT UP A FENCE FOR OUR NEIGHBORS, SO WE CONTACTED THEM TO DO OURS. THEY DID NOT RETURN CALLS IN A TIMELY MANNER, AND THEY TOLD ME AND MY HUSBAND CONFLICTING INFORMATION ABOUT DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS. WHEN WE DID GET A CALL BACK WE WERE TOLD THAT THEY WOULD NOT DO THIS JOB (AFTER THEY SAID THEY WOULD) AND TO FIND ANOTHER COMPANY. THEY WERE NOT PROFESSIONAL OR INTERESTED IN OUR BUSINESS.

I CALLED HIM BECAUSE MY GATE WASN'T WORKING RIGHT. IT TOOK AWHILE FOR HIM TO COME OUT. HE ADJUSTED IT A LITTLE WITH A SCREWDRIVER AND CHECKED THE FENCE, AND IT'S ADJACENT TO A COMMON AREA FENCE. HE SAID HE WOULD COME OUT TO FIX MY GATE AND THE DEVELOPMENT'S FENCE. I THOUGHT THE DEVELOPMENT WAS GOING TO PAY FOR THE COMMON AREA FENCE, BUT THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. HIS ESTIMATE WAS VERY HIGH. I SORT OF DIDN'T LIKE IT THAT HE SAID HE WOULD FIX MY FENCE FOR $50 IF I CALLED THE DEVELOPMENT TO HAVE THEM CALL HIM TO FIX THE COMMON AREA FENCE. WHEN HE FIRST CAME OUT TO LOOK AT MY FENCE, HE SAID HE WOULDN'T BE AVAILABLE FOR 3 WEEKS THEN HE WOULD COME OUT. THEN HE SAID IT WOULD BE ANOTHER TWO WEEKS AFTER THAT.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB MATCHING OUR EXISTING FENCE, WERE PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, AND PROMPT.
