The work has been sporadic and the electrical and plumbing worker has been late or not shown on several occasions. We finally decided to take up the issues with the owner and that's when he dropped the job in its entirety.

Jason did a wonderful job for us! We loved working with him. He's a very personable guy with lots of great ideas. We aren't blueprint types, and he did a nice job walking us around the basement and just imagining what the various spaces might look like and what might go where. He had a great vision for it and executed it well. He uses subcontractors, too, and they are good people. We worked with Don, and he was very friendly, talented, and flexible. The drywallers Jason hired were efficient. The crew that did the mud was done in a single day, including patterning the ceiling. Jason and Don tried to save us money every chance they got. They recommended various ways that we could cut our costs without compromising quality, such as installing a fan with a heater in the bathroom so that we wouldn't have the expense of running ductwork over into the bathroom. They were very good at adapting and being flexible when we changed our minds. They always told me upfront how it would affect the price of the work, and they were always trying to reconfigure in a way that would keep the costs down. Jason built us some beautiful floor-to-ceiling bookshelves in the basement. We are really pleased with them. And he turned two useless vertical nooks in our office into bookshelves, too. The one time I had a problem was when I thought the work was going too slowly at one point. I texted Jason, and he immediately called me back and explained the situation. It turned out that they had had another project that suddenly needed to be shown quickly, and they were giving it their all to make sure that the showing went well for their client. He apologized and gave me a timetable for the rest of the work. Then he stuck to it. We thought it showed great character. Another aspect of that issue is that we did not initially give him a deadline. We didn't have any specific time we needed the work to be done. So we told him to take his time and do it right, and I think that's the way to go, if you don't have a specific reason to have the work done by a specific date. Jason showed that he could get done by a deadline, as he did for his other client (even in an emergency), and that he could work well without one, too, and really give attention to every detail. I would recommend to anyone to hire Jason for their project. We will definitely be calling him whenever our next need arises.

As stated above, while we were not able to use Buckingham Builders to build the garage, the fact that he passed on the name of the demolition person they would have subbed to was very nice and allowed us to demo an existing structure.

He promptly called back to get the details. Very professional and quickly responded. He would not take the job, tho, as it was not worth the time it would take to get to our home for the amount of work we had. Completely understandable.

His pricing is excellent. His service was great. He is extremely busy, getting a time was difficult and his work was great. I think it took him a couple of days. I already had all of the materials he needed. He was meticulous and took his time to do what he needed to do. He researched the job before he did it. He was very fair with his price and time. He was very efficient. I would use him again.

Jason (Buckingham Builders) came highly recommended. He worked hard to make time for our renovation job during his busy schedule. Jason was prompt in quoting our job. He came to look at the space and gather all details of the job. He started a few weeks later and completed the demo and prep work in 3-4 days. Jason and his team demolished our bathroom tile floor, closet carpeted area, shower, cabinets, fixtures, and tub surround. They also removed glass wall block inset in between two spaces, filled, and patched drywall to make solid wall. They laid cement board throughout the space. Jason was also helpful in coordinating schedules with our other service providers on the job (plumber, etc). After new shower and floor installation was complete, Jason returned to install our new vanity cabinets. Jason's standards and quality of work is exceptional. It was clear he is knowledgeable about construction and general contractor work. He offered solutions to make our space safer and stronger. He communicated well with me while on site during the project. He is very personable and a pleasure to work with. Above all, I trust his opinion and work performed. That is hard to find in the contractor world. Thank you Jason for your hard work and time spent making our new space wonderful!!

Garage Ceiling - work was completed in a timely manner and looks brand new. Cut out old ceiling, repaired leak, drywalled, painted and textured. Roof - work was completed in a timely manner and looks amazing! Took off old roof, layed new felt / covering (not sure what it is called) down and put new shingles on. Bedroom ceiling - work was completed in a timely manner and you can not even tell there was a leak there. Cut out old ceiling, repaired leak, drywalled, painted and textured. All work that was done by Buckingham Builders was done in a timely manner. This company kept all areas clean and organized while the work was in progress and I was very impressed with that. There was no trash, nails, debri left in the yard, driveway, bedroom, or garage during the work. Jason kept everything in a clean condition and I was very impressed with that. His contractors were the same way and respected my property, belongings, etc. I was nervous about the bedroom ceiling because you can tell it has been fixed several times prior to us buying the house and we had it "fixed" 2 times before. . . . . none of these worked. The ceiling is truly fixed now and we have not had 1 leak. He kept in great contact and communication with us during the entire process from start to finish. I would use this company over and over again without hesitation.

My wife and I gave Jason a drawing of the house we wanted built. He pointed out all the issues that would need to be fixed including how the floor system would have to be built, the trusses would need to be changed, and a step down for the garage would need to be added. He helped us through the entire process and made it go as smoothly as it could have possibly gone. We supplied all of the lumber and the lumber supply company made a multitude of mistakes that Jason took in stride and made it right even though it wasn't his job to do so. He went so far out of his way for us I couldn't believe it. When all was said and done we now have a beautiful house that we love and I'm not so sure we could have done this with anybody else. Sure, there are some good carpenters out there but I have yet to meet a good carpenter that was also such a good guy before we hired Buckingham Builders . Thanks Jason!

Jason with Buckingham was excellent throughout the process. He gave us a quick and fair bid and showed up on time and put in full days every day. He was cordial and professional and even did some extras that my wife and I hadn't even thought of that really made the look we were going for pop. We can't be any more happier than we are with their work.

As part of a deck tear out we found where the previous owner had not correctly flashed between the deck and house. This let to the a number of boards rotting through. Jason was able to fit is and at short notice and tear the bad area. He then added some new braces to support the underfloor by the backdoor, replaced the siding and trim. Our siding is a rough cedar that has to be custom cut. Jason is a perfectionist in his work and you cannot tell the old siding from the new, it just blends. Jason is at the top of my list for recommendations to friends and colleagues, and for future jobs I have.

Jason is an incredibly hard worker. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of building and remodeling. He delivers very high quality work for a price that CANNOT be beat. I look forward to hiring him for other projects in the future.
