The replacement of the siding was well done. Workers took extra care not to step on flower beds, shrubs, etc. There were some issues with the subcontractor that put up the gutters, but Aztec made things right. This company made sure we were 100% happy before they left and requested final payment.

Provided the most complete proposal of the three competing companies. Was the most responsive to pre-contract requests and questions. Started on time, and the crew worked energetically from 8:00 am till dark or until rain caused a halt. Kept me informed of their progress and inquired as to my preference if they ran into something unexpected. Their management was frequently on site and available to me. They were within $350 of the estimated cost and the quality of the work was very good. They aim to please and are very professional. I recommend them without reservation.

Before putting the siding on, our home had T1-11 on it. We hired a contractor to repair sections of the T1-11 so that we could put our home on the market. Long story short, we had to fire our contractor for poor workmanship. Our home at this point was in terrible condition, and our only choice was to put new siding on our entire home. We did lots of research through Angie's List and received several quotes for both fiber cement and vinyl siding. Aztec Home was attentive to our needs (i.e. tight timeline due to needing to sell our home and move out of state) and extremely professional. Everyone was very patient, as we had a great deal of questions, and once we made our decision to hire Aztec Homes, the work was scheduled to start in 2 weeks (actually started sooner), and we were amazed at how quickly everything was completed. Both when the siding was done and the house was painted, there were approx. 10 workers on the project all day. The siding was complete in 2 day and painting in 1. All workers were nice and cleaned up after themselves. We were not living in the state when the siding went on, but the project foreman kept in good touch with and we were very happy with the results. Oh yeah, Aztec Homes' quote for fiber cement on our home was cheaper or very similar to the vinyl siding quotes we received, but with fiber cement we got a much better quality product that increased the value of our home more than vinyl would have.

They gave me a very competitive price and did the work efficiently. They had experience that could overcome unforeseen obstacles. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I contacted Aztec for a quote on April 8. On the 10th I received a call from their consultant, Jon Emerick, to set up a meeting to review their findings and estimate. Jon arrived promptly with a complete estimate including pictures. He not only accurately captured what needed to be done, but also suggested work not necessary to reduce costs. We signed the contract on April 15 with work scheduled to begin in early May. Jon's estimate was that work would take about 1 week to complete. Their team began work about 2 days earlier than scheduled. The project leader was Todd. Todd and two other professionals removed the old material and replaced it with fiber cement siding. Following a mishap in which Todd fell off the ladder and broke his leg, work continued with Ryan checking in to see that the work was on schedule and to relieve our concern regarding Todd. After the siding was on, a crew of two completed the painting. Throughout the project, we found all of Aztec's crew to be extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Also, daily clean up was fantastic. We are very pleased with the look of our "new" house. Somewhere during the process, we lost power in one of our bedrooms - probably due to either a nail hitting a wire or the pounding associated with the removal/replacement of the siding. As clearly stated by Jon during the review of the estimate as well as in the contract, Aztec Homes is not in the electrical business. Therefore, Jon correctly suggested that I contact an electrician to get the power restored. This was at my expense ($350) which was the right thing to do. Throughout the period from estimate review to completion of the job, Jon Emerick contacted me by phone frequently to keep me updated on the job and to answer any of my questions. I don't think that siding replacement is anything that anyone really wants to do; however, since we needed to do it, we are extremely pleased that we selected Aztec Homes for the job. We wanted no surprises (i.e., added expenses on top of the estimate), and there were none. Jon, Todd, Ryan, and their entire crew know their job and deliver. We are very pleased with their work and are proud of our home.

The overall experience was good from start to finish. We worked mainly with Dante Fiore. He was prompt and returned calls or emails. He provided a detailed estimate which made it easy to understand what was/was not being done. Once we selected Aztec he came for one last walk through to ensure we had the details understood. They said they would start the week of May 5th and they started on May 6th. Aztec completed the siding in one day and the painting in one day. Overall very satisfied with the work and professionalism.

Project went very, very well. I was so impressed that I would highly recommend Aztec for anyone's roofing job. I needed a new roof (18 yrs since house was built). I checked Angie's List and got 3 bidders. I called each bidder in to review their quote and get a feel of who I could trust. Dante Fiore quoted the job for Aztec and sat down with me. Unlike the other bidders he sounded more like a home inspector in the way he explained the roof problems and backed it up with JPG pictures which were included in his quote. Aztec recommend the shingles (high definition 30-yr.) to be used and provided samples. I was able to select the exact color using the shingle company's website (GAF-Elk), which had a "virtual house" that was similar to mine and allowed me to try all kinds of colors & styles. The job started early the first day and was done the next afternoon. Very professional and I was impressed to see Dante appearing on the work site to check up on things. Clean up and final inspection went smoothly, and my family was really impressed that Aztec roofed over a 1st floor bay window that I forgot to include in the contract. They also replaced areas of my roof where the plywood was damaged. Finally, they put in some ridge ventilation that looks so cool and sets my home apart from any other in the neighborhood. That was above and beyond for me. On top of all that, the job was completed BELOW the quote. I have some future projects (Siding and replacement exterior doors) in mind and will definitely work with Aztec. The whole experience was excellent and I'd be glad to tell anyone who wants to know more about the project.

Dante came to the house and gave a detailed quote against 3 other companies, his price was right in there, not necessarily the least expensive, but the most detailed. He was the first to get back as well and paid the most attention to details. Mike ran the daily project management and was at our house almost every day. He also paid close attention to detail and made sure we were happy at every step. Their crews were polite and we couldn't believe how fast they worked. It was a very painless experience. They've completed the project and everything went as they said. Our house looks great and Dante stopped by to check a couple times since, just to make sure we're happy! We are extremely pleased!

The entire experience was a positive one. Aztec was thorough, professional and courteous. Every member of their team seemed dedicated do doing quality work.

Mike is a true professional and a perfect example of the honest, hard-working businessman. He was prompt, knowledgeable of his products, and his team was quick, efficient and respectful of our home. Mike had given us a quote in 2007 and we were not able to commit to the project until 2008. Amazingly, Mike honored the 2007 contract prices... what a way to win a customer! We've been in our home 20 years and it looks better today than it did the day we moved into the house. Thanks, Mike!

Called about wind damaged siding. Mike came out the next day and gave a reasonable and thorough estimate to replace siding over garage with fiber cement siding. He said he could do it quickly. His crew removed the siding and backer board and replaced it. The work was completed quickly and neatly. We have hired him to replace the rest of our LP siding.

They highly recommended the sub they gave me.

Mike Dittmer came and appraised our house and submitted a price quote within a few days. He went over the description of the work being performed. He was not the least expensive, but was not the most expensive either. The job was started the next week and Mike's team was there very early. They worked over 10 hours each day until completed. Once the old siding came off, then the new siding and trim was attached. Since Winter was coming soon the team completed the job in a few days and then all of the panels and trim were caulked the next day. The team then came and painted all of the siding, trim, screened in porch, gutters and down spouts.

I could not have asked for more! Communication between Mike Dixon (the owner) or Jon Emerick (his sales rep) occurred on almost a daily basis throughout the job. The coordination of the work was flawless. After the siding was installed, the huge (but remarkably quiet) paint crew caulked and painted, and their work was followed up by the gutter installers. Each crew was helpful, efficient, and careful of landscape shrubbery. Even including a couple of rain delays, the entire job was completed in a week and a half.

Mr. Ditmer was very polite and thorough. He answered all of my questions and seemed to be very knowledgeable. I wanted him to prepare several different estimates related to different options I was considering regarding renovations I am doing to my home. (For example, the first floor outside wall is half brick, and I wanted an estimate with the brick remaining and if we removed the brick completely.) I was happy to see that he took careful notes about these requests. Unfortunately, the actual estimate, which arrived more than a week late, contained only one number, with none of the options I asked for. I didn't even know which option the estimate referred to. This was very disappointing since I had high hopes after our initial meeting. The estimate was also 50% higher than any other estimate I got.

Very prompt service, planned and executed on time. Entire job was completed in four days. Minor mis-measurement for window framing resulting in material shortfall which was immediately addressed and corrected. Workman made a special trip on a Saturday from Indianapolis to finish caulking. Friendly, efficient and professional.

Aztec Homes delivered on all that was promised, exceeding expectations in all areas. Mike Dittmer (owner) presents himself in a very honest and approachable manner. He was in constant communication with me during the course of the work, detailing what was being done. Throughout the course of the work, Mike also addressed every single miniscule detail that I raised. Having roof, siding, gutters replaced is a major job, and Mike met all commitments. The house looks beautiful. But most importantly Mike's management of the project leaves me feeling absolutely confident that the job was done right! Aztec Homes is without a doubt the best contractor with which I have worked!

It was great. I am usually pretty picky, like things to be done correctly. The house looks great. They were here when they said they would be. Mike returned all my phone calls promptly. (Those three things are key - be on time, return calls and do a good job - they get an A). I couldn't be happier. I should also mention, because of the hail damage, I had multiple quotes from various companies using various materials. The fiber cement at Aztec was priced around the same as vinyl would have been and it is much sturdier, lasts longer, insulates better and will give my house a better market value. Both crews, siders and painters were nice people and couldn't have worked any harder.

An excellent company. Prompt, accurate estimate. Competitive pricing. When questions or concerns arose, they addressed them promptly and with customer satisfaction in mind. The work was high quality. A great paint crew! Isaias was scrupulous in matching our window color and attention to detail of the paint job. John checked up on the crew regularly. Excellent daily cleanup. I was very satisfied with the job from start to finish and give Mike and his crews my strongest recommendation when you have siding and painting work.

Aztec arrived on the job on Monday as scheduled and the project was completed by Friday afternoon. Aztec's workers were skilled and performed their work with minimal disruptions to us. Mike Dittmer followed up the job with a close inspection of the project. There was a minimal punch list and all follow up work was completed in less than one hour. We hired Aztec for this job because of their good reputation and we were very pleased to learn that it is well deserved.

Mike and his sales rep (Jon) have been great to work with and truly care about having satisfied customers. Work was completed onetime and at the quoted amount. There were a few small items that came up during the projects (IE needed new trim board or insulation) and Aztec didn't nickel and dime us for these charges - they did the job right and kept to their original quotes. After walk through, they came back and fixed the couple items identified and left us very happy with having selected them. Would highly recommend Aztec and the fiber cement product looks amazing! Thank you. Only issue / drawback was that the job site was pretty messy during the job (three days). It all got cleaned up, but would have appreciated keeping it neater throughout - hence the lower grade on professionalism.

Mike Dittmer (owner) was great to work with. His goal was for us to be happy at completion. If we weren't he would correct any problem. However there weren't any real problems. He was here every day checking on the work, so I could talk to him personally, or call him on his cell phone. I'd recommend him highly. He even said he would come back in a year to check on the work (at no charge). If anything needed touched up etc. he would take care of it. We established a great relationship with him. He really communicated well with his crew, was on top of everything they did.

The experience that we had with Mike was beyond our expectations. Mike and his employees did an amazing job on our house. From the moment we obtained an estimate Mike was punctual, courteous and never put any pressure on us. He told us exactly what would be done to our house step by step. Once the project started his guys worked for hours in the heat and did a magnificent job. Mike checked up on the project the entire time. They cleaned up any mess made through the whole time. Not only did he check on the job through the whole process, but he has been here twice to do a punch list since the completion and has told us he will be back in the months to come as the house begins to settle. The product that he uses is fantastic and I highly recommend this company and it's product. We did get estimates from 2 other companies, one for fiber cement that was way out of the ballpark and the other for vinyl which we decided would take away from our salt box style home.

Mike came personally to my house and went over the entire bid, showed me what the products were and explained how it would be done per the James Hardie specifications (must be installed correctly to get the 50 year warranty). He also said that the James Hardie representative would come by and personally inspect the home to guarantee that the job was done per the specifications. I asked many questions, and he was able to answer them on the spot. The job began and the siding contractors were very nice and professional and they cleaned up their job site daily. They began removing only a section at a time and installing the siding in the place of were it was removed, so that we did not have exposure (even though it had Typar house wrap for protection). After the siding job was completed, Mike personally came back and inspected the house. It makes a big difference when the president of the company can take time and check the job site.

Once Aztec s crew began,it only took five days to finish the work. This was impressive considering the amount of siding to be replaced and the amount of painting that was to be done (5000+ sq. ft. home). Mike's crews were very courteous and worked at a swift pace. After finishing the job (and receiving payment), Mike and his crew gladly came back out to the home to fix a few follow up issues. This issue included 1) an awning on the back of the home that came loose during residing, 2) painting a new door that was installed after Aztec completed work, and 3) securing some loose exhaust vents on the home. When Mike and his crew could not completely re-secure the awning to the home, he gladly paid the original awning installation company to remount it. As to the back door, I told Mike that we were replacing it in the near future, and he volunteered to have his guys come back out and paint it (at no cost) after it was installed. All other issues were minor and fixed quickly.
