A-1 Concrete Leveling & Foundation Repair

Ron came over and took the time to explain their process and what my options were. Later their office called to set an appointment for the work to be done. They arrived on time and did a very good job.

An estimate was provided, however it was recommended to wait and monitor progress of the crack before taking repair action. We were appreciative of his honesty and will call again if the situation persists.

We had a large corner of our house where the concrete slab had heaved enough that it cracked. They came and gave very honest opinions about what they were seeing and suspecting and gave a reasonable quote. They even suggested some things we should be looking for that could have been causing our problems and further preventative maintenance we could do. They ended up securing the broken slab with piers and raising the level of the broken section, and we are happy with the result. They were able to get the job done in a day, including all excavating/backfill. Hard and courteous workers. They were willing to explain the process as they were doing it so we had a thorough understanding of what happened - much appreciated!

I waited 6 weeks for someone to come by and give me an estimate to raise a sinking front step. In the meantime, I contacted other concrete repair companies. 1 was a No-Show, 2 offered to fix the entire driveway at an exorbitant cost, 3 said they didn't do mudjacking only total replacement, and 1 sounded very arrogant on the phone. I was totally discouraged at the difficulty in finding someone who could work with us. When Ron Bowen from A-1 Concrete finally came, it was such a welcome surprise. He was polite and professional. He patiently explained every step of the process and said that if I wasn't happy with the result, he would redo it at no charge. His team came by a week later, thanks to a cancellation. The whole process took about 45 minutes. The team was polite and cleaned up. The 6-week wait for the estimate was worth it.

Three men worked to drill holes and pump leveling material under the slabs and step to raise and level them. They plugged the holes and cleaned up before leaving. The foreman explained what was done and also explained problems they encountered. A-1 made a referral to another contractor to do the patching of the cracks which is not included in the service offered by A-1. I received a 10% Angie's discount.

Showed up early and finished the work in about an hour. Cleaned up area after they were finished working.

Great. They showed up on time. They did the job. After the initial lift they needed to address other areas. They consulted with us before they proceeded because there was an additional cost.

Sent an e-mail via Angie's List and received a response in a few hours. Scheduled them to come out and repair after getting a quote. They showed up on the day and in the time range given. They were friendly and professional. My wife and I were very interested in this process and they patiently answered our many questions as they worked. The section was raised back to its normal position and they cleaned up very well. All of this took about an hour. We are very satisfied.
