Unfortunately we did not have a good experience with John, actually a pretty bad one that left us having to bring other people to fix the job. After John was done with the work which turned out fine, he had leftover material and decided on his own to use the product. He decided to make an additional “parking space” in the in the entrance of our home on top of our rock/gravel entrance. Who told him to do that or authorize him, I don’t know. My husband had paid him when he was already done with the initial work so there was no way to withhold any payment. Now he refuses to bring someone to remove.

It took well over a week to get the estimate, and that was with me calling to remind them.

Had to wait until spring for work to be done, but well worth the wait. We are very pleased with the outcome. The crew was friendly and efficient and it was great to see the owner on site too.

The work was excellent and we are very pleased with it. I give 5 stars for initial quality, communication, crew diligence and clean up. Cost seemed in line with a couple other estimates. I would definitely use them again.

Work went very well, crew friendly, professional and in this time of Covid-19, safety conscious. Final product exceeded our expectations.

The cold patching held better than I thought, as I was initially skeptical, but it has actually been great, and the paving was completely professional and top notch.

They were great. They were prompt and responsive. The rep I talked to was all top notch. I will refer them.

We have not done the work yet because it was more than we were expecting. We have an extremely large driveway. The estimate was detailed and contained all the info we needed. It was a good quality estimate. It was not hand written it was typed up and had a lot of detail. They got back to me within a few hours and someone was out to look at the work within 3 days, and they got back to me with the estimate. I would use them again.

They came when they said they would and completed the work on time.

We had a driveway, asphalt, redone about 10 years ago. Very professional Performance. We had a problem with water runoff that they took care of quickly and we have had no problems since. Best driveway company in area.

I thought they did a good job. They did a good job sealing up my driveway. I don't remember I had any problems with them.

Don came over and gave us a detailed quote to seal our asphalt driveway. The men tried to come over to do the job twice, however, the weather dictated otherwise. When the weather finally became agreeable the men came over and did a very satisfactory job. The men were very professional.

The original conversation included a driveway that would be 12' wide, The contractor claims the driveway was supposed to be 11' wide. Since this was not recorded on the contract, it was his word against ours. The driveway is less than 11' wide so we were not at all happy with the end result. After negotiating with the contractor, the contractor agreed to lay dirt and seed the transition areas at the edges of the driveway and the lawn. Several calls had to be made before the contractor lay the dirt and seeded the area. The dirt was not properly packed down so as a result some of it washed away because of the rains. Overall, not happy with the end result and the lack of response on completing the job.

We asked for an estimate for paving and after several phone calls they came . They gave as an estimate that is about 40% higher than some previous ones .We have to make phone calls so they finally email it to us. We asked to provide us with analytical brake downs of the cost and they gave us a total number without any detailed explanation as asked.

Everything went according to plan. They arrived as expected Monday morning and began demolition of the old drive. They completed half the removal on Monday and the other half on Tuesday. On Wednesday they graded the drive and applied asphalt. The drive looks great!

Young & Sons Asphalt Paving were very professional, they were on time and they did a wonderful job. I highly recommend them.

We decided to go with another company, but would consider this company in the future.

The day of the work, we were called and told that Young's was having trouble with equipment and would be out later than projected but they would make every effort to complete our work on time as promised. They were about 2 hours late starting but the two men who came to do the job went right to work. They worked carefully and professionally. The driveway looked better after having the grass cleared and being grated. The young man who ran the grater/bucket piece of equipment was fascinating to watch. He cleared the driveway precisely and did not cut into our yard at all. Even the new area that he cut in front of the detached garage was cut and cleared perfectly. His partner swept and raked any stones that got into the yard back into the drive. After the stone came, these two men worked with the same professionalism and precision. The driveway looked perfect and there were no stones in the yard or out in the street. It was fascinating to watch them work with such precision as they placed gravel up to but not onto two sidewalks and the aprons of two garages that butted up against the driveway. After they finished they had a bit of a wait before the roller could come out due to aforementioned equipment problems, the two men kept themselves occupied with cleaning their truck doing any "finishing" touches on the driveway. The man operating the roller worked with the same precision and rolled only gravel and did not spread the gravel into the yard. If any pieces did go into the yard, the other two men cleared them out. The driveway looked absolutely perfect when they finished, it was smooth and leveled and very professionally done. Even with their equipment troubles, they finished within the promised time.

EXCELLENT. Arrived on time, did excellent work and when finished the drive looked brand new and as before the drive has kept that look for many months afterwards.

Young and Sons Asphalt are excellent. They showed up on time and were very complete. I would not hesitate to use them again.

The estimator came when he said he would. Offered alternatives that I had not considered. Returned the estimate the following week. The prolect was delayed because of the rains in the spring; however, once started it proceeded in a timely manner.

I thought they were going to take the whole driveway out and pour new, but they just poured new. They put a lip going into the garage so water wouldn't flow into the garage. When the garage door came down it wasn't even so I had to call him back to chip that out a bit so the garge door would come down even with the pavement. I thought it shold have been banked more toward the street for the water run off. The drive had been paved so many times that it had been banked toward the house and I was getting water in the house and I'm still getting water in the house. He didn't bring a laser leveler or anything, he just thought he could do it by eye.

Everything was excellent. They were professional and did exactly what they said they would. We were very pleased with the work.

They were very careful of the brickwork around my driveway which was much appreciated. All the workers were very courteous of my home. They did a great job at a competative price!

We have used them for the past 5 years. They arrive on time, do good work and good clean up. They are reasonably priced.
