Description of Work: Quality of subcontractors was very good. Project management and financial accounting by the general contractor needed improvement. Lack of financial accounting ended in a dispute. |We would not use this contractor again or recommend D&D contractors. Debated between a D rating or an F rating. Sub contractor good, administration by GC poor.

Description of Work: Dave completed work on a house my partner and I just purchased, as part of the inspection report. He was paid to replace the 3rd floor vanity water valves and plumbing, among other items. One week after we moved in, we came home from work to find water streaming out of our ground floor dining room ceiling, our 2nd floor bathroom ceiling and our front bedroom ceiling. The valves he replaced were leaking a steady stream of water. When we called him, he denied replacing them. When I told him I was looking at an invoice that detailed he did the job, he said he didn't. After the listing agent contacted him and reminded him that he did the work, he came by and looked at the problem. he told us it was a faulty shark bite valve and that it wasn't his installation. I pointed out that he installed it and chose the part and was therefore responsible. He said he couldn't fix it and suggested we go to Lowes to buy new parts ourselves and walked out.

Description of Work: Dave came out and quoted the installation of four ceiling fans, including the routing of wiring from the light switch to the center of the room. Three rooms were very straightforward. One room was a cathedral ceiling, requiring electricity to be run from a side wall. Work was completed on time and the house was kept very clean throughout. Attention to detail was incredible. We have not had any issues with balancing of the ceiling lights.

Description of Work: Replaced doors and exterior door frame and did repairs and paint to exterior house wood. We were given quotes for more involved and expensive projects that we will hire Dave for, including adding a bathroom.

Description of Work: Dave and his workers completed renovations in three rooms - two baths and the kitchen. In the kitchen, they installed a granite countertop, new hood, new sink and fixtures, new refrigerator, new ceiling lighting and new under cabinet lighting - all lighting with dimmer switches. In one bath, they pretty much gutted the room and replaced subflooring then installed new ceiling lights, fan, new heater, built an entire new shower of granite, installed a new shower door, new toilet, sink and fixtures and painted the ceiling and walls. In the other bath, they removed the ceramic tile from the walls, put up new wallboard, installed new ceiling lights, new fan and new heater, and fashioned a new countertop of granite, then painted the walls and ceiling. The quality of the work is outstanding! The workers were meticulous about the quality and fastidious regarding cleanliness. Everyone was quite careful about the dust and debris and protection of my carpeting. Everything was cleaned and the debris carted away each day. Dave was creative and congenial in helping me to choose the needed materials and quite patient when I changed my mind (often). I cannot say enough in favor of this firm. I would definitely hire them again - in fact, I already have.

Description of Work: All windows were replaced. The old aluminum windows were removed and new casement windows were installed. All new trim was put in and brick was replaced on the one new sliding glass door that replaced an old window.

Description of Work: This construction company remodeled most of the home. The work included roof, soffit and fascia replacement. A total of 38 units of window and trim were replaced. The two full baths were totally remodeled and the half bath had fixtures replaced. Garage walls were repaired and painted and cabinets were installed. One fireplace mantel was replaced, four entry doors were replaced and a sliding door was installed in place of an existing window.

Description of Work: Installed facets for showers, tubs and sinks and installed toilets in several bathrooms.

Description of Work: THE COMPANY REMOVED CARPET AND SUB-FLOORING FROM THE MASTER BATH AND INSTALLED CERAMIC TILE. MR. JACKSON DID A WONDERFUL JOB. HE EVEN INSTALLED A ''TILE CARPET'', FOR DESIGN PURPOSES AND IT REALLY SET OFF THE FLOOR. THE FLOOR IS BEAUTIFUL AND WE HAVE HAD MANY PEOPLE ASK WHO DID THE JOB. HE IS NOW (JULY 2005) INSTALLING A NEW TILE FLOOR IN THE ENTRY OF OUR HOME AND REDOING THE HALF BATH IN OUR HOME.
