"The Death Penalty". Sorry for the awful title but that is what I unknowingly sentenced my trees to when I hired Growing Solutions to trim my 40 ft Silver maple trees. Growing Solutions came out and gave an estimate to trim 5 trees. We ask to trim a hard maple, pecan and 3 large silver maples. I was told that the hard maple should be taken down because it was dying any way. They were supposed to be the experts so I agreed. I was assured that the price was competitive and they would do a great job. The crew showed up on time and were very courteous. The tree trimmer approached me and said that if he topped the pecan tree it would die, so I took his advice and did not have it topped. It is now July and two of the three silver maples appear to be dead, no leaves. I called Growing Solutions and was told that it was not their fault and they didn’t even have the courtesy to come to my house to check the trees.

Was happy with the price and the work. They were there on time, did all the work, and cleaned up very well after themselves. Will be using them again!

Everything went well. Prompt, friendly, conscientious about yard damage and cleanup, recommendations on other problem trees. Will use again in the future for an Oak tree removal.

They were very punctual and polite they showed up exactly when they said they would. The job was completed quickly and the mess was thoughly cleaned up. It was a pleasure doing business with these guys and I will Hire them again.

William Ridenour provided an estimate on Friday and was the best of three. His large crew was able to come at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and finished the job around 3 p.m. They did a good job, especially clean up, removing branches, twigs, sawdust, and even cleared the drive with a blower. One suggestion would be to provide a written estimate vs. a verbal one.

Went well, hard working, cleaned up debris. Would definitely use again.

Growing Solutions was prompt. He said he would show up at 10 am and he and his crew were onsite by 9:45 am. They were very professional and friendly. They took time to explain what they were doing and made suggestions about cutting back branches from the house and other areas. They showed care in cutting down trees that were close to the house, our hot tub and deck so as not to damage any structures. They stacked the firewood from the cut down trees and cleaned up very thoroughly. I would definitely recommend them again.

The crew from Growing Solutions did a great job for me!! They shaped up three trees that had grown like crazy over the last couple of years. Then, they tackled the tree line behind our home, cutting back and clearing away a canopy of green that had been blocking the sun from the entire back yard. John and his crew were exceptionally helpful, friendly and professional! In addition, the clean up portion of their crew also did great work! They hustled around the trimmers with leaf blowers and rakes for almost three hours, clearing away debris as quickly as it hit the ground. I highly recommend this company and applaud their good effort here.

The staff were very professional. They were very prompt.

Job went very well. Job was made harder because cut material had to be removed up a large hill. Crew worked liked a machine, every man knew what needed to be done and when. Extra care was taken not to damage anything and clean up was very well done. I would recommend this company (crew) to anyone interested in having their trees removed. Great job guys and thanks.

Small tree was cut down and removed in about 30 minutes while treatment of Ash tree took about 1/2 hour. Work was done promptly, throughly explained beforehand and crew was professional. Would certainly call them again.

They did an excellent job. I mainly dealt with Sam, one of their climbers, who gave us the estimate along with Bill, the owner. On site, Sam and his crew were very personable and professional and did everything to make sure that the job was done completely, correctly and up to our expectations. He made sure the job site was safe for the children that were playing nearby and along with some other workers helped pull down a heavy tree that was partially knocked down already free of charge. The job was done quickly and really without issue. They cleaned everything up thoroughly afterwards. It's almost as if they weren't even there. The price seemed competitive for the amount of work they did. I had 3 similar trees taken down last year with stumps removed for $1500. They got to the work quickly, only days after accepting the job completing it on the Sunday of a holiday weekend. There was a hiccup with the stump grinding subcontractors as the grinder got into our landscape lighting (which probably was the fault of the lighting installer honestly). They ensured that our issue was being taken care of by the subcontractors prior to leaving the site. Their subcontractor made sure I was satisfied with the result of the problem before their departure as well. It really went well for what I thought could've been a major problem. I gave them a B on punctuality because they were about 1.5 hours late on job day due to a truck issue. It wasn't a big deal and I know stuff like that happens, but a call for a heads up would have been nice. Overall, I'd highly recommend them. The quality of work was definitely top-notch.

They arrived when scheduled, price was agreed upon and they quickly went to work. They took down a really large tree in a wooded area with minimal damage to the surrounding foliage and no damage to our lawn. They also took down three smaller trees with the same care for our property. They did a great job, could not be more happy and will definitely use them again if the need arises.

They did a fantastic job! I initially called them because I had a willow tree that had to be removed before it did any further damage to the pipes around our house. Service was provided the same day I called so I give them an A++ on responsiveness. William and his crew knew exactly what they were doing and brought my attention to the fact that carpenter ants had started to invade some old hardwoods and treated each of the trees to exterminate them. There were several other dead trees in the yard so I had them remove those trees as well. The entire job proceeded like clockwork and when they were done, they cleaned up every bit of debris. I was also impressed with their professionalism as they had someone on their crew who could scale the healthy trees without the use of spiked shoes. I will definitely call them again if the need arises.

These guys are awesome. If anyone is looking for a tree service to come in and cut down trees or do canopy work, there's nowhere else to look but Growing Solutions. Trust me, I'm a very picky guy and I need things done just the way I want them and they met all of my expectations. They will give you an AGGRESSIVE price and get the job done quickly! They happened to be in my area one day and stopped by to see if I needed any work done. I was curious to see how much one of my trees in my backyard would cost to cut down, so they gave us a quote. They were far less expensive than the other companies out there. They showed up and took down my huge Beech tree within 30 minutes. I also needed several other trees cut down (as I have a landscaping project starting in my backyard) and a ton of canopy work done. The guy that does the canopy work is amazing. He gets up and down the trees so quickly. I couldn't be happier with the work they provided. I watched the entire project and told the guys exactly what I wanted done and how I wanted it done and they did it. You can't go wrong with Growing Solutions.

They went to the property to look at the stump to give a quote back in February of 2015. They up sold me. They wanted to cut down 3 trees and cut branches on other trees along with the stump removal. They agreed to do all the work for $650. They came out and removed the other 3 trees and trimmed back other branches. The stump was not removed that day because they said the wooden fence would break their chainsaw. I had to remove some planks from the fence so they would be able to take care of the stump. They said they would come back and take care of the stump once I called them. Yesterday they were to come back and remove the stump I had called them to tell the fence was removed. They did not bring the equipment they needed. For 2 weeks I tried contacting them before they came out out yesterday. They said they would not be able to do this work because it was not part of the quote. I had to get another company to remove the stump. I am livid because they took my money and did not remove the stump.

Great only took a team of 6 one hour to get it all done and cleaned up.

Normally I don't deal with door to door salesmen, but this tree service was in the neighborhood and I received an estimate. The estimate was indeed a good estimate. The came back the next day. They seemed very rushed and some of the employees were confused as to what to do. I had to go to work and could not watch them finish the work. The next day I went out to find they had not removed some cut limbs (3) and they had not cleaned up a lot of sticks that had broken when the bigger limbs fell. They did do the job I asked for but because they did not clean up, I can't give them an A rating.

The whole crew was awesome, they were efficient and fast with reasonable rates. Another tried to charge me $700. Would recommend them to everyone. Cleaned up well.

They did very good work but left with one tree unfinished. I submitted a previous poor review when they failed to return after I called them twice. They have now returned on 8/28/14 and completed the job. They did it very well. I am very satisfied and will use them again for tree work. This review should replace the previous one I submitted.

It was surprisingly good. I have used other tree removal services before. Compared to them, this service was outstanding.

Very fast service. After the tree was removed the crew spent a lot of time removing the branches and leaves. Did not find one leaf or branch on the lawn after they were done. Very good price also! Tree crew was also very professional and respectful. I would hire them again.

Growing Solutions were very professional acting, and very polite. They came to give an estimate and told me they had time right now to do the work and would give an additional discount. They had the bushes pulled at both locations within an hour. They did a great job of cleaning up too. It was a good experience.

Showed up at scheduled time. Professional crew that was experienced and knew what they were doing. No damage to flowers and plants in vicinity of trees being removed. Clean up of all debris, even the smallest twigs. Highly recommended!
