The service was just fine. They did a good job and they seemed very professional.

Bill and his crew of 9 arrived around 10:15 and immediately got to work. All trees required climbing to cut sections off and lowering them to ground by rope where his men could either run the sections through a chipper or load large log sections on to his truck. They made sure to cut the stumps down to as low as they could and cut them evenly across. They cleaned up after themselves removing all fallen branches and sawdust and were out of here within 2 hours.

They were at a neighbors home cutting down a tree. We found their card at our door and went to get a price from them on getting a large tree cut down. We had been getting quotes from other companies and their price was in line with the others. Besides they were right there and they had time to do ours that day. The group of them were more than nice. They got right to work and did exactly what we asked. They even cut down 2 dead trees that needed to be cut. They trimmed up some branches on some other trees and left everything the way we wanted it. We wanted all of the wood and they piled it neatly for us to take care of. The owner was on site and was very accommodating to us. They were very professional and were done in no time. They also suggested other trees that needed to be trimmed up in the future and quoted a price for that work too. We are very happy with the work they all did and will call them again in the future.

It was a major job, they had to use a cherry picker to get in there to remove it. They did a very good job, I would recommend them.

My 15 damaged trees were previously identified this summer by others. I had two other bids but planned to wait until spring to remove them. But the rep from Growing Solutions (doing nearby work on neighbors property), saw the tapes on the trees, and came to my front door and asked about my intent on the trees. He asked to offer a good price and I told him to go ahead and submit a bid. His bid was about 20% lower than my lowest bid. I told him I was not familiar with his company and he asked me to look it up with his performance on Angie's list. So I did and was impressed with his reviews. But showing my hesitation he offered to cut one of my trees ay no cost since all the equipment was working next door. His crew cut it quickly and professionally in less than an hour. Impressive! He said he could start it next day and I told him to do the work verbally. His tree-cutting sample was a smart move. This company cut all my trees and treated the good ones with chemicals over two days. Their work was excellent and professional, The crew was hard-working and efficient. Their grinding of the limbs and stumps was thorough. He left some firewood neatly stacked for my use as I requested. The price he bid was the price I paid with no haggle. The price was fair and reasonable. I would call William Ridenour and Growing Solutions again for any future tree work without hesitation, They are a great team of people to work with....great work...fair price...thorough and professional...and they leave your property neat and clean. Excellent! I called for an estimate. They arrived on time and came prepared to do the work. He explained what needed to be done and why. The price was reasonable and they were able to do the work immediately. They completed the work quickly and did a fantastic job on the cleanup. I am very pleased and grateful.

Overall, it went fine. I would have preferred they would have cut the stumps lower. Also, they did a lot of work for my neighbor and left large chunks of cut tree on my property which are still there.

This group was exactly what a customer wants: rapid estimate, menu style services, began work on the day requested with very little notice, and did a great job. When I asked for additional tree removal tasks, they agreed immediately and at a reasonable price - they could have tried to gouge me, but didn't. Very slight damage was done to a fence that could have been hidden, but instead they informed me immediately, and fully repaired the fence that day. These guys were amazing to watch in terms of expertise. It was like watching the History Channel, only in fast-forward mode. If you ever want to see a tree dismantled in front of your eyes, hire this crew. Every man knew what to do, and was doing it. I don't think I have ever seen a crew where everyone was constantly working. You truly get your money's worth.

They came to the door because they noticed a dead tree in the front yard. They didn't see the tree that had just fallen in the back yard. They did an excellent job. Within 90 minutes everything was done and cleaned up. They were great!

Had 5 Bradford Pear trees and one Silver Maple trimmed and dead wooded. The crew was great they had knocked on my door asking about my trees. They gave me a great quote and did the job right then. I could not have been any happier. Other estimates I had gotten were 2-3 times more than what they charged.

The company was working in the neighborhood and stopped by to ask if we needed our trees trimmed. Jack gave us his cards and an approximate price to clean out the dead wood and some overhangs on two large silver maple trees. We also discussed possibly removing the largest tree close to the house. While he left to consult his boss we looked up the company on Angies list. It has good ratings so we proceeded. When the owner, Bill, returned a short time later we discussed the scope of the work and the need for treatment for carpenter ants. Since the large tree by the house was still solid he did not reccomend taking it down. They did trim a lot of the branches overhanging the garage and cut out the deadwood. The second tree also needed some deadwood cut out as well as a couple of leader branches that were overhanging the neighbors yard. We agreed on the price and a short time later the crew showed up. They worked with a climber, several ground helpers with ropes, and a pole saw. The trees were trimmed, all debris cleaned up includine the garage roof, and left the place pretty much as found. Not all sawdust could be raked but it was as good as could be done. He also poured a treatment around the base of the tree to kill the carpenter ants or other insects that like to eat dead wood. A prior cut limb was holding water so they cleaned that out and sealed the cut. Overall we were satisfied with the extent of the work and the trees are much neater looking and safer. The only drawback was we had to make a decision that afternoon and so could not compare prices. However, having had trim work done on those trees over the years we had an idea of the cost so went ahead. This allowed them to keep the crew working the rest of the day and get the job done. We would hire them again.

They showed up about 15 minutes early to provide an estimate, and they came ready to work with a seven-man crew, chipper and two trucks to haul away debris. They worked quickly and did a good job of cleaning up all of the debris for a fair price. They were referred to me by friends, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

On a Friday night we lost half of a very large Bartlett Pear tree. On Saturday morning a neighbor recommended Growing Solutions. We checked them out and called them around 2:00. They were there by 4:00 and would have removed the tree then had it not been for another down pour. The came back on SUNDAY afternoon arriving about 2:45. They hit the ground running and didn't slow down until the job was completed. By 3:45 they had removed the tree and ALL the debris. These guys are great and the price was reasonable. HIGHLY recommend them!

I was very pleased with them. They did what they quoted in a timely and professional manner. They went out of their way to please us. Even adjusted a gate for me at no charge. All the men were polite and helpful. I will use them again.

For the work they did they do well, but was it necessary to cut down the tree I'm still not sure. In my own mind I would like to believe that they were telling that my tree needed to come down. From the standpoint of actually removing it and cutting it down and everything, they couldn't have done any better with that. That part went well. They also trimmed out some trees in our yard and I think they did an okay job on that but it's kind of hard to tell until a couple of years down the road. For what they did, they did a lot and I think there was good value for the money there. Everybody has been on time.

Everything went great. The crew arrived right on time and finished the same day.

About 7 or 8 men arrived promptly to do the work. They cut the trees down, put them in the chipper, cleaned up their messes in the yard and on the street. Then, they recommended someone to dig out the stumps. It was all very fast and efficient.

The Growing Solutions crew obviously knew exactly what they were doing and are experienced professionals. The 5 man crew worked together like clockwork the entire time! They were efficient, professional, expedient, and pleasant. They cleaned up everything left by the project in our yard and also on our deck by hand, with multiple chain saws, with rakes and, I think, a leaf blower. They definitely left the yard even better than they found it! They had a powerful wood chipper and a monster of a truck very capable to carry away the enormous chunks of the tree. They asked permission to do so before driving on the yard to pick up the larger pieces of the tree after chipping the branches and smaller sections. We appreciated their expertise. Great! They came very quickly to complete the work - about 2 hours after I first called. They called as they were on their way, about 15 mins out. When they arrived, they confirmed the work to be done and got started. They cleaned out all the limbs and brush, chipping and loading into their truck. They were nice and polite. They cleaned up completely when they were done. We have had them out before to remove 3 trees and stumps. We have the exact same experience before - prompt, nice, clean, complete. We will continue to use them for our tree needs.

We had received an estimate for the job a few weeks a go and when I called to make an appointment to come and do the work they were able to schedule for the following day due to a cancellation. They indicated they would start at about 10:30 am and in fact were on the job at about 10:00 am. They set about immediately limbing out the tree that overhung the street and mail box and chipped up the smaller branches. The larger sections of branches and the trunk were cut up into fireplace sized pieces and stacked near my present wood pile. Once two of the trees were down, their stumps were ground down to below grade level while the other crew members attacked the final two trees: one for felling and the other for trimming. These guys did not stop or hardly slow down, they were always cutting, raking, chipping, and stacking. With the exception of the fellow up in the trees limbing them out (he was always busy), the other fellows were all interchangeably doing all the necessary tasks to keep things cleaned up and moving along. During the last 20-30 minutes of clean up, the 6 trees were treated with pesticide. All the fellows completed their tasks about the same time, the yard was clean of the associated debris and they left for their next job after about 4 hours total work time. I might add that during the whole process, one or the other of the fellows would approach me and advise me about other issues they would see in other trees and suggest remedies that I could take to rectify the situation; all helpful information. These guys were speedy, clean, and efficient. I would highly recommend this company.

The crew of six arrived when they said they would and went right to work. The tree was dying and several branches were ready to fall. They worked with only minimum breaks. It took about 3 and 1/2 hours to complete the job (this included cleaning up the area.)

Growing Solutions was doing a tree removal down the street and came by to gave me an estimate. I liked the clean up job they had done, so I gave them the go ahead on cutting back the tree and bushes in my front yard. I also asked them to look at my "weeping willow". which I was told has a fungus, carpenter ant damage and is beyond saving. The gentleman told me it would be a waste of money to treat at this point and to enjoy it until it has to come down, I appreciated the honesty and straightforward answers. When they left the tree and bushes looked nice and the clean up job was excellent.

I called for an estimate, and Growing Solutions came over immediately. I was impressed with their expertise about Bradford pears. Two weeks earlier, a middle limb had broken off, and the center of the tree looked as if it was rotting. I had done some research, and it was obvious to me that the tree had to come down. I had other contractors give me an estimate, and they wanted to trim the tree. Growing Solutions said immediately that the tree had been compromised, and they recommended removal. Within two hours, the tree was cut down and mulched. The team then raked the lawn, swept the street and the driveway. They did a beautiful job, and left my lawn in perfect condition. They asked if I wanted the stump removed, and referred me to an associate of theirs. He instructed me to call 811 to have the Utility companies mark the lawn before he dug. He will be back some day next week to remove the stump. I would definitely call Growing Solutions again. They are professionals, and do quality work.

The work was done efficiently and quickly. They also did a good job on the clean-up, no debris was left in the street or the yard. We were very pleased with their work and will definitely hire them again.

Outstanding job! All removed and all debris was cleaned up. You would never know the tree was there. Completed all work in about 2 hours in a friendly and professional manner.
