Description of Work: Bill Ridenour and his crew do a great job. They are efficient and cost conscious. They always do a good job cleaning up. This was the second time we have used them, and we will use them again next time we have trees to be trimmed or taken down.

Description of Work: Removed four trees, deadwooded two trees and treated two trees for insects. They took three large trees down in pieces and used ropes to prevent damage to lawn areas. Cleaned up all debris and removed all cuttings. They did a great job.

Description of Work: My husband and I purchased a property of about 3/4 acre with 32 very mature BIG trees. Due to the Emerald Ash Bore infestation, and carpenter ants--10 of them had to come down. What a spectacle to watch! At one time there were about 23+ workers in our yards and on the perimeter. And the other Angie's List Reviews about them were spot on. Every single person had their duties. Climbers, men hauling branches to the grinder, raking, operating machinery to lift and carry the huge parts of the tree, cutting up the large branches as they came down. | |As they went thru the yard, we found more and more things that needed trimming or needed to come down. William, the owner, negotiated with me right there and the work was immediately done. The men were professional and very polite. It was very hot the two days they worked. They worked from 9am-3:30pm both days. The men never really took a lunch break. They just worked straight through the day. I kept a hose out in the yard so they could cool off. I even took pictures of the work they did, and displayed them on a website. | |Growing Solutions was unbelievable! They came to me on a Saturday, when it was pouring rain, and I was at our house doing some inside cleaning before the renovation. William Ridenour was so professional and proud of his team. They did a good job for him, and they did a fantastic job in our much-neglected yard. What a transformation!

 + -1 moreThese folks were great ! We had a large tree, in the middle of a garden, between two houses. The 'climber' was amazing. He took this tree down is small pieces. Once cut, he guided the fall of each piece. The only thing that touched our hostas and ferns was saw dust. Growing Solutions were fast, friendly and neat. I appreciate their skill and hard work. We certainly recommend them .

 + 0 moreI called Bill the owner on Tuesday and told him about the splitting tree. My daughter on 116th street used Growing Solutions about three weeks before and were very pleased with them. He asked if it was alright to bring the crew the next day and he would have a good price. He showed up the next morning around 9:30 walked around the yard, pointed out problems with trees in the yard. He had a very good price, and showed me his insurance, and started work.. He had his crew with him. The crew joked around and seemed to be happy working for Bill. They seemed to enjoy having people watching, even two neighbors came down to watch John go up the trees with a chain saw attached to his belt. I judge how well someone does work for me with the question to myself would I use them again. The answer is a definite yes.
Description of Work: We had a big cherry tree near our house made up of three trees with one trunk. The one closest to our house was splitting and only needed a strong wind to knock it down on our house. They came out and showed us that we have carpenter ants inside the tree. They also identified other trees with insect problems. We ended up with John cutting down three trees (five if you count the one tree with three big offshots near its base). The tree in question is near our house and would be hard to get big equipment in to cut it down. I would estimate the tree to be around 70 feet tall. John climbed up in the tree near the top and cut the tree without coming close to the house or the neighbors fence. John said he loves his job and it was evident in the way he went about his work often making it look easy. They started around 10 in the morning and were done around 4 in the afternoon with all trees down and the yard cleaned up. They also cut out dead limbs on two other trees.

He and his crew were prompt, courteous, able and did a fantastic job. They were very careful not to damage anything in the yard and didn't! We will use them again in the future.
