Sundown Gardens

I like the work they do and I think they did a fabulous job.

My experience with Sundown Gardens Company was amazing. I thought they were just off the charts. They provide outstanding service. Their design was a great. They just went above and beyond to accommodate us. Their pricing was amazing. I would continue to use them in the future.

Their price was reasonable. They were very accommodating. They were very responsive. They followed up well. They tried to work smoothly and make things work. They have a lot of services. I will be using them for trees and shrubs. I would use them in the future.

Joe Russ always contacts us to see when and what we would like done for spring clean up and sends us a nice estimate for each item we request so we always know what each piece of the work costs. The workers are always very professional, courteous and efficient. They are knowledgeable and careful with how everything looks after all their work. They arrive timely and work quickly. They have always done an excellent job and if we have any questions, they are very willing to answer them and provide assistance. We highly recommend Joe Russ and Sundown Gardens.

They were effective but we didn't care for their services. They could improve on their application process.

They were good, prompt and reasonable. I spent $1500 on that work. I was pleased with their work. The man who designed the landscape was very pleasant. He was very polite.

They had a good service. They did good work such that they were running all the time and running our bill up. We thought their cost was too much and that's why we didn't use them. It depends on the price that's for sure, but probably we would not be using them in the near future.

We had some very large spruce trees in our back which were important to us for screening purposes. We wanted to make sure they remained healthy. I kept asking him to watch them. In the course of the 2 to 3 years they were treating the trees one of them had to be cut down because it died. When asking him about the tree, which is obviously a spruce, his response was "well, you know these pine trees..." and I thought I am not even using someone who knows what they are doing. So I wasn't very pleased with their responsiveness. This was a 30 foot tree and now all that is left is a big hole. I could never get an answer out of them. I was up front that we wanted to invest in treatment because we did not want to lose the trees. Other trees did well but this one was obviously sick and kept going downhill. I never got any answers as to what they were doing to help this tree survive. We finally just had to cut it down because it died. The price was a little on the high side of market value. They came on their own schedule to complete the treatments.

I spent about $7000 on their services. They were very efficient. They stuck to what they said they would do. I think it took them a couple of days to finish the work, but it turned out to be really nice. However, when they got to the end of the job, they did not do quite a good job as when they had started out. I could not tell if they ran out of materials. The parts where I was not running around and checking, they did not seem to do very well. I think their price was reasonable. I will consider them for a future quote.

I've used them for a couple years now. I'm on a program with them.

High quality. Work done efficiently (used cherry picker to reach very high limbs) with adequate help. Workers cleaned area neatly. Attentive to owner's wishes. Subcontracted labor. Setting up appointments was cumbersome.

It has been going well so far. They had also done some lawn care for us during the fall season and that too has been going well. We would recommend them to the other members. We have been pleased to know them and they have done good work for years. Their service was fruitful and they were prompt. They were reasonably priced although we don’t remember as to how much we paid for the last service that they performed. They came and treated the trees when the weather was right. One man did whatever was required to be done. We were not there in the lawn when they did the work.

They charge about $35 for the application. I have been doing business with them for 15 to 20 years now and that’s probably one of the reasons why I picked them for that. They are honest and they know what they are doing. I don’t have to worry about them messing things up. They clean up after themselves. They just get the job done. They are pretty reasonable compared to the other companies. I would definitely continue to use their services in the future too. In fact, I am planning on having them do the landscaping too.

Grass had a tough year due to the lack of rain, but the program seems to work well. The only area I wish they would do better is communications as I am not always sure if they came or not. A simple piece of paper left at the door after each application would tell me they have been there...

Awesome!!! Joe Russ listened and created an amazing design for his very talented landscape team to implement. The result was a beautiful home plan! While we began with an idea of planting a larger maple and getting some help with cleaning up our yard, he pulled together an amazing smorgasbord of ideas which were made available a la carte for us to decide for each area of the yard as well as other services including lawn care. We did go with most options and our yard was the recipient of an extreme makeover. Our existing irrigation was comprehended in the plan such that it was not disturbed with the enlargements and new diggings. It's hard to wait for Spring, when all the new plantings will pop to life with new foliage. Our sole regret was not coming back to Sundown Gardens earlier. We had purchased some Hoopsi spruce and crabapple about 7 years ago which remain as some of the most beautiful specimen in our yard. It was night and day difference between us pruning and the pros at Sundown. There were no unexpected surprises and they did such an amazing job cleaning up you would never know they were soo busy. Additionally, they were very patient with talking through the work and care after the job was done. They are not the lowest price in town but they have been around a long time and their reputation and warranty goes with high quality and care. We do look to adding more maintenance, fertilizing and Fall cleanup services going forward to enhance the beauty of the new additions. We strongly reccomend this very friendly smaller company to anyone with landscaping needs. Your mulch beds will not be dismayed!

They did a big job. I think they are reputable and I think they are good. They are honest and fair. They do what they say they are going to do. They have got creative ideas. The owner Todd Erb is a very nice person and very talented. I just never know with the economy what it is like now. I think some of the businesses have been hard hit, so you never know if they are still operating this way. I would use them again in the future if I hadn't found this other guy I liked better.

They're very prompt and polite. I've been with them for about three or four years now. I'm very satisfied with their services.

They are a long-term company. They have been around for forever, and I've done business with them on multiple occasions. They have always provided good quality work on time.

No story...just on-going great job.

They came 3 times. We were not too happy with what they have done with our crabgrass. We have since hired someone else.

They also came and planted the trees, but they haven’t done any landscaping work for me. My experience with them was positive. So, I have gone back to them frequently. They are usually very helpful when I am there. They do a professional job. It cost me $1500 for them to come out and plant the trees. They aren’t the cheapest. I will use them again in the future.

There was nothing that was outstanding about them. Their price was exceptionally high. I would not use their services in the future.

Everything went well, they delivered on time.

Several times per year Sundown Gardens treats our plants, including a very large willow tree. We have never had a problem with them returning calls. As they show up during the day, and no one needs to be home, punctuality and professionalism are not rated.
