Sundown Gardens

Mike asked us to come to their location, so we could be sure we were on the same page regarding plants, installation, schedule and cost. Everything went very smoothly were now one month in and all is well. Beautiful work.

Sundown Gardens came out and it took them about two to three days to complete the work. They cleaned up the weeds and the edged up everything. I had a wonderful experience.

I thought they did an excellent job. The grass in the shade has worked out quite well and I am very satisfied.

Sundown did our original landscaping 4 years ago and they were professional, on time with delivery and the quality of their plants and trees are second to none in town. I have since purchased 2 additional trees and once again they had the best trees in town and their crews were on time and did a great job. We did have to have one tree replaced within the warranty period and they handled this with promptly and with absolutely no hassles. THANKS

They did a excellent job! The billing needs attention on a constant basis. They bill you and then apply payment to the currently due. The services are billed as they do it. Although the final amount paid matched that of the estimate. The work performed was great and everything looks great, over all! Excellent job!!!!

We've been pleased with their responsiveness. Compared to the company we had prior to them, they're doing a lot better. They always let us know when they have been here. We just started them in the fall, but we have already noticed a difference in our yard. We even got a really nice Christmas card from them!

Very well, had 5-6 workmen for almost a full day, a good 8 hours.

Work was average but not without some issues and the need for repeated call backs. Worked with owner Mike McDaniel from the beginning and liked what he had to say. Unfortunately his workers were less than competent. We had to call them back to weed again and re-do the bed edging since it was done so poorly. They did a poor job trimming bushes and forgot to add dirt to the low area by the foundation. Mulch was piled too high along the house foundation covering all the brick weep holes. They had to come back twice to correct that. The new landscaping installation was not very impressive and again the mulch was piled so high it covered the brick weep holes and was above our basement window ledges! On top of that they broke a sprinkler head and we had to have our irrigation company move three other sprinkler heads which Sundown did pay for because they landscaped outside the outlined area. We went with Sundown because their price was cheaper and I'm sorry I didn't go with someone else.

Mike McDaniel came in designed my landscape and customized it to my preferences. Work was done when they said it would be. They cleaned up very well. At my old house they took care of all my lawn and garden needs. I'm very pleased. They also did my Christmas lighting.

They had a good price and quality of product. I use them quite often for other nursery needs. They are always there to answer my questions and are very helpful in offering advice.

Mike had great and cost-effective ideas for us. They did very high quality work on time. We have used them before and see no reason to look elsewhere.

Sundown made a major fall clean up of lawn and yard. At that time we discussed the possibility of the company cutting the grass though nothing was finalized and we have our own gardener. In March the company sent employees to cut grass without any notice or discussion. Apparently it was in the small print of a document we signed last year. So we paid for a job we did not expect to be done.

Excellent work. I can't believe how good my lawn looked after just a few treatments.

We are absolutely over the moon with the work that was performed around our home. Our expectations were greatly exceeded. They dug beds, planted trees, shrubs, etc. put mulch (and some flagstone) in and it looks great. The patio was subcontracted through SDG and the work was seamless (we never felt we were working with 2 companies). SDG worked with the subcontractor to ensure that the vision would be implemented (and it was). We changed our minds on the retaining wall and SDG came up with an amazing (less expensive) alternative; the amazing boulders look like they've been there forever. My son even got to help with dirt and mulch in his wheel barrow. They always cleaned up after the day but the true magic is the amazing landscape they left behind. We have had many cars stop to say "wow." A true service company who is talented. We highly recommend SDG.

I STOPPED BY SUNDOWN AND ASKED TO HAVE SOMEONE GIVE US AN ESTIMATE ON TRIMMING AND PRUNING BUSHES/TREES AT OUR HOME. SOMEONE CALLED WHILE IN THE YARD, BUT I WASN'T HOME, SO I ASKED THEM TO SEND A WRITTEN ESTIMATE ON WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE AND THE ESTIMATED COSTS. I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN.
