Indiana Mold Remediation

IMR and My family got off to a rocky start based in a poorly worded estimate provided by me through a homeowner in my purchase transaction. I was made to believe that IMR completed work they only provided an estimate for. IMR understood how the situation was manipulated and worked through my issues with me as true professionals. Brian and his crew went above and beyond, to this point seem to have remedied my situation. They also hauled away debris I had tore out of my basement. They heavily discounted their services to assist in the mishap.

We initially had another company do a mold inspection. That company did an air sample and a swab test. The swab test came back negative but the air sample came back with a small amount of aspergillus. They wouldn't give me any information over the phone. Instead a salesman came out and said we should do a full remediation which would be several thousand dollars. I was a bit skeptical because we received nothing in writing in terms of quotes for the costs. I called Indiana Mold Remediation and asked for an inspection. They did a full inspection and the only visible mold that was found was a small amount on the attic trusses. When they reviewed the labs done previously, they pointed out that we were never given the outside aspergillus air count which was currently almost 10x the amount tested in our home. They said we didn't need remediation. However, we still wanted to get rid of the mold on the attic trusses so there would be no question during the sale of the house. IMR gave me a quote of $500. They returned in 10 days and performed the work. I would highly recommend them as they seem very honest in comparison with the original company we used.

Aaron Lester showed up when they said he would be here. Very personable, went straight to check out our possible mold that was brought to our attention during the sale of our home. He said it was very minor and said it had probably been on the board since it was installed during construction. He said give me 5 minutes and it will be taken care of. It was, he said no charge. Wrote up his response and emailed it to me in about three minutes. I insisted on paying him 50.00 for his gas and time! Highly recommend!

Excellent! The technician was punctual, professional, honest, and knowledgeable. It turned out we didn?t have a significant mold problem. Although we didn?t need to hire Indiana Mold Remediation for further work, the technician was still genuine and went out of his way to make sure all our questions were answered. We definitely recommend this company to others.

From start to finish, Indiana Mold Remediation was fantastic. My initial conversation with Lisa was pleasant, informative, and helpful. She worked to schedule service around what worked best for us. When I explained that an early time would work better based on our baby's schedule, she made sure to note it for the technician who would be coming. Aaron called before coming and was even able to show up earlier than originally stated. Upon arrival, he quickly went to work to determine whether or not there was an issue present. He quickly assuaged our concerns about what we thought could be an issue. He assured us that the issue we identified was common and that if his own family had the small amount of condensation and residue present, he would not be worried. He provided recommendations about future cleaning and maintenance. Although I hope we never need remediation work done, IMR will be the company we use if we do. I highly recommend this service provider based on our experience with them.

We had some mold on our furniture in our basement. They said it wasn't hazardous mold and didn't charge us for coming out. He was very through.

I called to schedule an inspection due to some concerns about some mold that we found in our family room wall. Brian answered the phone and completely walked me through the process, educated me about mold and eased my concerns about our issue. I am extremely allergic to mold and have had systemic fungal infections so I was ultra concerned and he was great sharing extra precautions for us to take so I would stay healthy! After our call, my husband was able to do the job and saved us at least $2000.00. Brian could have easily taken advantage us and didn't. He spent close I one hour on the phone discussing our problem and providing solutions. He is extremely knowledgable and pretty funny too. :). Highly recommend.

This company stayed on target with all deadlines. When they felt they were going to exceed a deadline we were always informed. We did receive calls with concerns they would not meet initial deadlines but all initial deadlines were ultimitely met. In addition, I appreciated this company's honesty and recomendations to our situation. I would recomend this company to ALL my friends and family. They are very trustworthy, accomodating and honest.

Brian did an excellent job in explaining the process, coming out on short notice, and ensuring we were pleased with the results. His two assistants were capable, hard working, and respectful of our home. The end results were amazing, and we were very relieved to get this work done quickly as it was a potential roadblock to selling our home. We cannot say enough good things about Brian's professionalism and outstanding customer service skills. Best of all, the next lowest quote we received for this work was $2650, so we can attest the IMR price of $940 was fantastic.

Each time he was unavailable, and I was told he would call me. I have tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, and even told his secretary that I learned about him on Angies List, and they have been requesting a review. I thought that might encourage him to call, but I was wrong. I can't waist my time on him any longer.

Before deciding on Indiana Mold Remediation, I spent a LOT of time on the phone with Brian, who answered my many questions and explained the process they use and ways in which we could save money by doing some things ourselves, etc. We had obtained estimates from several other companies, the majority of which used scare tactics and whose estimates were unbelievably high. Brian came to the house, examined the areas of concern, and provided an estimate that evening, broken down so we could decided what services we wanted his company to provide. For example, he told us we could save money by removing old insulation ourselves; by covering the contents in the basement ourselves, etc. Ultimately we decided to have IMR provide all the services itemized in its estimate. Brian assured us that our problem wasn't as bad as we had been led to believe, and thoroughly explained how the job would proceed and how long it would take. On the first day, Brian and his co-workers were running a little late, but called us to let us know that. Everything was explained each step of the way, and the job was completed in about a day and a half. Brian had told us that on the second day there would be an odor that could be unpleasant (like chlorine) and that we might want to leave the house for a few hours, but that it would dissipate. There was an odor, but we opened windows in the downstairs and turned the heat off for a few hours, and it wasn't nearly as bad as we thought it might be. The guys in the crew were friendly and polite and we felt completely comfortable having them in our home. The wood in the floor joists in the basement looks like new and the basement floor was cleaned up and left in better shape than it was before the work started. They also mopped our hardwood foyer where they had been coming in and out of the house, although they really didn't track in much at all. We would absolutely use this company again and highly recommend that anyone considering mold remediation talk to these folks before making a decision. In the past few months we have dealt with several different contractors in addressing various issues with our house, and our experience with Indiana Mold Remediation has been the most satisfactory by far.

No charge to give me great detailed instructions on how to prevent mold after a water leak. Answered right away and very professional.

We didn't go with them. It was over the phone and it was a house we were going to buy. They were in the ballpark for a decent quote. I didn't think they would overcharge me. They said they didn't think a mold test was necessary because they would clean it the same way which saved $200 for a mold test. The estimate was free. They were on time. I would take a quote from them again.

I was purchasing a home and the inspector discovered a small area of mold in the attic. I called Brian at Indiana Mold Remediation to come out and take a look and tell me what should be done. He stopped out at the home and was great with the current home owners. He called to let me know what he saw and what he recommended for treatment prior to moving forward. He then took care of it on the spot cleaning up that area and assuring me it was not a large problem for me to worry about. He was very professional.

He did not feel we needed his services and most of the clean up could be done by us. He was very knowledgable and understanding to our situation. He was not pushy and took his time making sure all our questions were answered. We would definitely recommend him to others and would be the first to call if we ultimately do need professional services.

Brian Lester is excellent. He is thorough and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions. When our new tenant had concerns, a year after the remediation, Brian took time to drop by the property. He spent over an hour discussing what the remediation process was. I consider this above and beyond what would have been expected.

They were easy to get a hold of and responded very quickly and it was a flat rate for the number of sqft the attic was because they treated the entire attic roof. They did an excellent job very friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommend them in the future.

He also spent a lot of time with me and explained the drain issues I may be having and how to remedy it, even though that was clearly outside of the scope of work he was asked to perform. He also observed that I needed new water supply hoses for my washer. I bought new ones and he said he would replace them for me, which he did. I wouldn't hesitate to contact them again with any questions about mold or water damage.

Overall fairly good. While they cleaned and wiped down surfaces, there were several area's that were obviously missed. 2 windows, cabinet doors, cabinet shelves. We contacted them and they gave us a 5.5% discount. Not bad, but seemed minimal. I am now contemplating having a new IAQ report done, and seeing what the levels are. They also would not show up until 10- 10:30am and would leave before 4pm. Took 3 days at this schedule.

They came out very quickly and gave a very detailed and thorough report that was professionally done.

Would not call them for this service as if a phone call cannot be returned. How would they perform for something as important as this?

Were responsive to my initial call, right away. Never heard from them again, after the estimator came.
