We were anxious to have the fence installed for our new puppy, despite the cold weather. Jeff was accomodating and easy to work with. The posts were installed in one day, and the rest of the fence a few days later, exactly as we had discussed. Looks great!

The sales person was very professional. When the workers came out they got it all done in 2 days. I'm very satisfied and have no complaints.

We had always had them working on our fence. Every spring they came out to look at the fence to make sure everything was ok. I called four times this spring to have them come out to fix a broken rail and no one called me back. I finally had to call another business to have them fix the fence. This was not like them. Their service was always excellent. Very disappointed.

So far Glidden has dropped the ball badly. How? The facts. (1) Glidden was contracted by my neighbor to install a vinyl clad aluminum fence. (2) Glidden dug all their post hole BEFORE utility and landscape obstacles were marked. Yes they only hit a sprinkler line, but what else might they have hit?? The property lines had been marked, but even the home owner himself, told me Glidden was not to have been digging that soon - he was not happy. (2) My sprinkler lines did cross into my neighbors yard (they were already installed when I bought the house, so didn't realize it). (3) When destroyed the sprinkler supply lines, they just left the site, never informed the home owner (my neighbor) or me. (4) We had to have the lines repaired immediately by Salisbury Brothers Landscaping (they did quick, nice work for us). (5) My neighbor, the home owner, sent the Salisbury Brothers invoice to Glidden over a month ago, and Glidden never responded. (6) I called Glidden today (spoke to a rather dramatic customer service rep) and was told "the owner refuses to pay since your lines crossed into your neighbors yard). You can determine how reasonable that is - could just as easily have been my nieghbors lines, or an electrical line, or a sewer line since thety dug prior to utilities being marked. (7) Was further told the owner is out on "a big government job" and won't be back for a month (8) I'm stuck paying for repairs caused by Glidden as they refuse to do what's right and honorable given the damage they caused. (9) You'll need to decide whether to use Glidden given my experience - i sure as h*** won't and would recommend you consider their work practices and their customer service practices carefully before choosing your fence provider - there are many choices out there. (10) How will they treat you or your neighbors if something goes wrong???

I called to schedule an estimate for several different sections of fencing on our property. They answered right away and scheduled someone to come out that week. We were impressed with the quick response and the fact that Jeff was able to come out right away to give an estimate since we really wanted to get this done before winter. Jeff was very nice and professional and seemed to know what he was doing, that is the ONLY reason that I gave a D for professionalism. The rest of my experience has been very poor and very unprofessional. When he was leaving, Jeff gave me a card, got my email address, and told me that he would work on the estimate over the weekend and we would have it emailed to us by Monday, October 21st at the latest, this was on Wed, October 16th. Today is November 12th, and we will still have heard NOTHING from Jeff, not even an email!! I called their office on the following Wednesday and spoke with a receptionist. She gave me some line about how he wrote a bunch of quotes up over the weekend and thought he sent them and then found that they didn't send. She was sure mine must be one of those and that she would make sure I received mine. We still did not hear anything, not a phone call from Jeff or the receptionist and still no email. On November 5th, I emailed Jeff at the email address on his business card, but never received a response from him. I waited for a response, after a couple of days, I called the office, explaining the situation on their voicemail. I did receive a call back that day from a lady in the office. She of course said that this was very unusual, the owner was out of town on a big job, Jeff was covering for him and very busy, he was not in the office...blah, blah, blah...apparently more excuses. She said she would leave him a note on his desk to tell him and that I should just keep calling and "keep on him." By the time I called her, it had already been 3 weeks since he had been out here and 2 1/2 weeks since he was supposed to send me the estimate. It is absolutely ridiculous that I should have to keep calling/emailing to "keep on him!" He should do his job and send me the estimate or at least email/call me to tell me what is going on. Even if they did not want to do our fence, he should have been professional enough to let me know! The other estimates came close to $7000 so this was not just a small $500 job. It has now been almost a week since I spoke to the lady in the office the last time with her promise of leaving him a message, and still no contact from this company. This must be a very unprofessional and unreliable company!!

Bill showed up on 26Sep13 on time. He was most helpful in explaining the possibilities and preparing an estimate. On 04Oct13 we finally made the decision to go with the Glidden estimate and paid the down payment. On 14Oct13, Bill came back out and we did the final planning/marking for the fence. He was again very helpful in making sure that we were getting what we wanted. On 16Oct13 the holes were dug and the posts were installed in cement. Very professional crew; also was able then to get answers to a few last minute questions. They were able to work around, successfully, the dog's buried invisible fence line and drainage lines that would be crossed several times by the new fence. On 21Oct13 the boards and gates were installed. Another professional crew. Everything looks fantastic. Really no problem at all.

Bill came out to give us an estimate and details. The fence was promised to be installed on a Friday and they did not even have the proper posts. The owner changed the drawing, WITHOUT INFORMING US! When they installed the posts they were 8 feet short and one post was the incorrect one. I called to have one board changed and it took they 6 weeks to do that. The fence does not even have an end cap board. It looks incomplete. Never would recommend them to anyone. Total lack of communication.

Company was quick to respond and provide a quote, but horrible responsiveness by Sales person. Office staff was responsive and attentive, but the overall experience over-shadowed the office staff. The only time I saw the sales man was to provide a quote. He never called to follow up or indicate next steps in the process. I had to initiate the communication on payment, how to approve the string fence line, fence selection and corrections after the job was complete. I met the crew on site while the fence was being erected and had to correct them because the sales man did not communicated our agreed upon instructions for leveling the fence. And even after the installation, it took them three weeks to follow up and correct the leveling problem with the fence and other items. No one ever called to say they were coming back out or that corrections had been made. Additionally, even after I complained about the installation they were quick to send a bill for the balance and the amount due was wrong. I had to call and correct that as well. Maybe they are a big company and $5K is a small amount to them, but the owner states on the website that it is a family company and she understands the importance of providing value and quality to customers. That is not how I felt. In these economic times $5K is a lot. Looking back over the experience I would have went a different route and would pay a little more for a better experience and service.

Glidden was fantastic. Punctuality was great. Pricing/Estimation was a good value. Installation team was accurate, punctual, courteous, and hard working. They maintained the yards look and cleaned up properly after placement. Don't believe I could ask for more.....very satisfied.

Quality was exceptional and service was completed in schedule. The only issue I encountered was the fact I was billed more then my quote. My quote included 2 discounts, 1 for Angie's List and the other for paying early. Both discounts made this quote the cheapest, which is why I contracted them to do the work. I emailed them to discuss and they said the could not honor the quote and if I insisted the difference would come out of the estimators paycheck. To me this was unprofessional and was a tactic for me to accept the price, which I did since I didn't want him to lose money. I chose the best quote to complete the work and would not have chose Glidden if I had been given the actual price upfront since 2 other quotes ended up being cheaper.

The work went really well and the fence turned out great. We compared our pricing and they were pretty good and also they were punctual.

Glidden Fence built an absolutely awesome lattice paneled red cedar fence. Being an interior designer I can be extremely critical of poor quality workmanship. This work without a doubt rates an A++. The men sent to do the work were courteous, professional and extremely talented. This fence was built on the job in a timely manner. After post were set in concrete they came back three days later and completely built the lattice panels on the job in one day. No prefab here! I highly recommend this company and used them before years ago with similar results. All I can say is awesome, awesome, awesome!!! Definitely would hire them again

It went great! The removed the old fence and set the posts one day, and came back on Friday of the same week to finish the installation. They hauled away all of the trash and debris. It looks fantastic!

This provider was excellent. Bill was the estimator and an extremely friendly, polite person to deal with. He went above and beyond to make sure he understood what I wanted with regard to placement of fence, gates, and purpose, ( to make sure our small dogs could not get through). This provider, answered all questions, at each stage of installation. String, posts, and fencing. They provide a substantial discount if paid with one week. I appreciated the time, and attention this company pays to its customers. Excellent service provider.

Bill came out at the appointed time. I walked him to the property and the materials that I had. He also knew from my attire, that I was a disabled person... with knee braces, back brace and ankle brace. I also made it clear on the request that I had the materials and hardware and only needed the company to install the vinyl fence at the location on the property. Bill asked to insure that I did have the hardware and the complete materials to do the job completely. At that point I left him to do his measurements. I seen that he did have a rough drawing of the property and location of where the fence would go but no measurements was noted. I went inside my home to give him time to complete whatever he needed to do. After only two minutes, I noticed that his car was gone. Didn't think anything wrong at the time. But after a couple hours, I know that it would had taken him more time to measure the distance in two places... he had a retractable ruler on his belt. I had couple other companies that came right out and said that they wouldn't or couldn't do the job unless I bought the product from them. Not a problem... I honor people that are straight and honest. I don't think Glidden Fence, Inc. was straight with me. They took time away from me and given me false hope. I am a service connect disabled veteran... I worked over 30 years with daily pain. Trying not to be relaying on charity from anyone. My injuries now has made me unable to do any physical manual labor... I can pay for the work to be done. I will not ask for any work quotes or products from Glidden Fence, Inc.

Great work by Glidden - a few challenges in getting it squeezed in the srping schedule - but everything was great!

They did an excellant job and I am very pleased with it. Although the weather was a factor in placing posts they were able to come back and placed the posts.Great job overall!

This project has not been completed yet but my experience with Wendy Glidden on the phone today has prompted me to write this review. I called in because my elderly moms' fence was not completed last week Friday as promised and by noon on Monday we had stilll not heard from the installers who were supposed to call " first thing Monday morning." I don't think Wendy Glidden has even a passing understanding of the concept of customer service. She is incredibly rude and condescending on the phone. When I asked to speak with her manager she sneered " This is Wendy Glidden, how can I help you?" Bottom line: even if the fence turns out great, dealing with people like this is just not worth it. BEWARE!!

Very happy with the end result. The price was exactly as quoted, there were no extra charges. The workers showed up when they said they would, and the fence was completed on schedule. I spent more than I would have liked, but that was because the HOA required the steel fence instead of wood. Of the 12 estimates I received, Glidden was the 2nd lowest, though all were within a few hundred dollars of each other. Everyone else estimated 4-6 weeks from estimate approval, Glidden was on site within a week.

Asked for an estimate through "Angie's List"; had no response from provider.

They were very prompt, efficient and friendly. When we started our search for a fencing company after we moved in to our new home, we used Angie's list website. I looked over the different fencing companies with an overall A rating. I read the reviews with different fencing companies. We really liked what was said and the reputation of Glidden Fencing, so my husband called and spoke with them on the phone. They gave him an estimate of cost off of our measuring of the area that was to be fenced in. They advised us we needed a permit to put up a fence in Noblesville, which was great, as we had no idea that we needed a permit because we were new to the Noblesville area. They were very helpful on how to obtain this permit. They came out and measured, and to our great surprise, we did not measure correctly and the cost had dropped, which they were one of the lower estimates we had gotten for fencing. We had wanted a lattice installed as well along the back patio for more privacy. My husband had taken a picture of the lattice we saw at another property and took a picture to give them an idea of what we were looking for. They gave a great price for the lattice included in the cost of fencing. They kept in contact with us with everything they were doing. They kept a great open line of communication. My husband had even changed his mind in the middle of the project about where he wanted the gate, before starting on that, they verified it again with me and my husband of exactly what he was wanting and to double check where the gate would be installed. When they were finished with certain things, they would check with me to see if it met my satisfaction/approval before moving on. After installing and letting the posts set for 2 days, they finished the whole project in one day!! Everything looked great and the lattice which was built on site surpassed our expectations. Very happy with the entire process.

Excellent! Wendy was a pleasure to work with. Tony and his crew were pleasant, professional, and experts at what they do. Small glitches were handle quickly and fairly and without drama. Would use them again in a heart-beat.

Had them make some repairs on my privacy fence. They were quick to come with a reasonable estimate and did a great job. Even put on a brand new front gate to widen the entrance. I'd definitely recommend them and use them again!
