Their price was quite high for a small 6' section of fencing that included a gate but I had no choice but to go with them because my townhome HOA has strict requirements regarding landscape modifications and the work needed to blend in seamlessly with the existing fence they installed several years ago. The final product achieved this and met my expectations. The quote they originally provided was vague just had a total amount with no explanation for where the number came from. I had to call to get more detail on the breakdown for materials and labor. They could also improve their communication and sense of urgency a little. After getting a quote and submitting a down payment it took a while for them to get around to doing the work and they literally just showed up unannounced one day and got it done. Maybe this strategy isn't uncommon in the industry but it left me feeling a little unsatisfied with their level of service especially considering what they charged me.

First, Bill was great he explained all the different styles, he helped me make the right choice for my fencing needs. The guys that came to install the fence were professional and their work was "top notch". I am very happy with the work they did--from the office to completion I just can't say enough good things.

Very pleased. Everyone who worked with us was very pleasant and efficient. Our fence looks great. We couldn't have gotten this great price anywhere else. We looked. We also appreciate the fact that they recommended a good surveyor, who also gave us an excellent price.

I had two post and two panels ripped out of the ground and knocked down by storms in the spring. It took Glidden a few weeks to get to me because they were booked up. When they did make it out, Glidden went above and beyond. Not only replacing & repairing the two post and panels, they also reset four additional post, replaced a few boards & adjusted the gate. Overall I was very pleased.

I was very pleased with their service. I thought they had reasonable prices. I had other companies that said they could not even do the job. I knew I had to have a special gate where they lock effectively and big enough to ride equipment through it and I felt they did a great job.

I was very satisfied with their work. They did a good job and were prompt.

It went well but I thought the communication could have been a bit better. However the end product is a good solid fence and we were happy with the work.

The experience was less that impressive and customer service below satisfactory. After meeting with the sales rep, the installation crew showed up with no advance notice and without the drawn plans to guide the installation layout. They had to ask about how and where the fence would be installed. The installation crew left nails on the ground with no regard that my dogs could be harmed. After the installation did not meet my satisfaction, I contacted the main office to discuss the matter with the owner. I was told and given commitments on a return call with details on next step and that commitment was not met. Many emails and calls were exchanged with the main office for a month before the matter was resolved. I had to initiate EVERY communication and status update. Glidden Fence never made the first contact to provide updates on the issues to their client, me. The issue was finally resolved on 5.30.14, after approximately a month of time passing, 6 emails and a few calls. Yet again, the installation crew arrived without prior notification after I made that request twice to be contacted before their arrival so I could prepare the areas as I have dogs to secure. No call, they just showed up and started working. I am happy with the actual product, the fence appears to be good quality and installed securely. However, due to the lack of communication skills, installation issues and overall lack of sense of urgency to resolve the issue, I will not use or refer this company to anyone.

OUTSTANDING! Glidden's quote was very competitive, and everyone at the company was terrific to work with - from the folks in the office, to my great sales guy, Bill, to the crew members who were super friendly and conscientious about cleaning up after themselves. Their workmanship is excellent. It did take longer than I expected for the fence to be completed, but it was well worth the wait - I couldn't be more pleased with my new fence...it's gorgeous! 'GBO' - Your company is top-notch! ;)

We found Glidden on Angie's List and sent them a message. Of the three fence companies we sent messages to, Glidden was the first provider to contact us back. We set up an appointment with Bill who arrived on time and was very friendly. He discussed our different fence options as well as fence placement. He gave us some great ideas. Of the three fence companies, Glidden was also the lowest price by about $400 (with the Angie's List discount they offer). We booked with Glidden at that time. The fence was completed within 2 days. The first day the posts were set and the second the fence was installed. They installed two self closing gates. Thus far, we have received nothing but compliments on the fence and it's holding up great! They were a pleasure to deal with.

The work was done professionally and quickly. From the three other companies that quoted me they had the best price, quality of materials, and quality of work. We will definately recommend them to our friends.

Fence was originally installed mid-summer of 2013. Initially I was very satisfied with the service. About 3 weeks ago I contacted them to get an estimate on increasing the size of my gate. My wife placed the first call and was told someone would be out to provide a quote. She didn't feel very confident at the time because the gentlemen on the phone didn't take down any information. A few days later on a Thursday I called back and asked if someone would be coming. I was told someone would be out the middle of the following week. After waiting another 9 days I called back and spoke with another employee. She explained they've been really busy, but she would get me taken care of in the next couple day. Obviously that didn't happen or I wouldn't be writing this post. I sent them an email letting them know I would be looking elsewhere. Needless to say, I've still never heard back. I would not recommend this company based on customer service.

Bill came out and talked to with me about the placement of the fence and how the process would go. He also took measurements. Bill was very nice and easy to work with. He had an estimate emailed to us within a couple of days. Our neighbors were using Glidden so we decided to use them also. We were able to coordinate with Glidden to get both houses fenced so we could save some money. We even split the cost of one side of the fence with our neighbors. They were very professional and finished the job pretty quickly.

They were easy to get an estimate for. It took them several visits to finish the repairs. We had to keep calling, but it was fnished ok.

They're very good and very polite. They don't mess around and they don't waste time. They got the job done and I didn't have actually to do with them.

Sales person and staff were friendly and helpful and gave me exactly what I asked for! Turnaround was quick which was critical since our new dog was chasing every squirrel raccoon and cat he saw and we didn't want to lose him. We didn't do a lot of price comparisons but they seemed to be in the middle based on the research we did do (neither the highest or lowest). Definitely will recommend Glidden to others as the process was smooth and easy and I was very happy with the appearance and quality of the fence!

Glidden Fence Co. installed black metal railing on our concrete front porch and down the steps to the walk. We wanted to do this for safety on the steps, but were pleased to see it also enhanced the appearance of the porch. A drawing was made of the area, styles of railing were discussed and a cost estimate given. The work was completed within a week of the estimate. We are very happy with the quality and appearance of the railing and the safety it provides at the steps.

It went well. Jeff established the perimeter for review. the next day the posts were set and the following day the fence panels were installed. Overall, well planned and well executed.

I called Glidden Fence Company to get a quote and the lady was so polite and nice. I get a free quote and they will come when I'm not home because I work so much which saves me a lot of time and stress. I look forward to using them in the future.

Initially, I was very impressed w/ Glidden Fence. I sent a message April 1 regarding a fence repair and possibly replacement of the rear portion of my fence received a message back the following morning letting me know someone would be contacting me & a phone call April 3 to set up having estimates done. An estimate was left on my front door April 6, but there were no prices, only a written description of the work that needed to be done. Also, one of the estimates was for replacement of my entire fence, not just the rear portion as I had requested. At this point, no biggie, I was still happy with their timeliness. I contacted the office on Mon April 7 & spoke with Wendy, she gave me the $ amounts for repair of the fence & for replacement of the entire fence. She also took my email address & said that the estimator, Jeff, would email me the $ amount for replacement of just the rear portion of the fence. I did not receive an email from Jeff until Sat April 12. I emailed him back that same day & inquired about the costs of some other changes with the fence & he emailed me back the same day with the $ amounts. I emailed him with another question that afternoon & never heard back. After thinking about it for a few days, I decided I wanted to have the work done, which was to replace the rear portion and 16' of the sides of my fence with privacy fencing. I called the office on Wed April 16 to set up the work. I was told to sign & return the written quote along with a 25% deposit & they would then contact me to begin work. I did not have a written quote of the work I wanted done, only emails, so I emailed Jeff on Thurs April 17 & asked to get one so we could get started on the work. 5 days later, I have heard nothing. I realize that it is Spring & they are probably busy, but I consider these actions poor customer service. It would have only taken a minute to shoot me an email letting me know that I would receive a revised estimate shortly. In the meantime, I have decided to go with another company whose prices are a little higher, but they are more than happy to have my business. I contacted them Friday April 18, had an estimate Sat, & by Mon April 21 had set up a start date.

They did a good job and I would recommend them to others.

Called Glidden after a recent wind storm that had broken two of our posts at ground level. They gave good notice on the timeline of the repair: estimate first, then, if approved, calling utilities to mark because of digging involved, then setting posts, and another day to reattach everything once the posts were set. I liked that I knew upfront that this was going to be a multi-day project. Working around multiple days of rain and low temperatures, they installed everything and even leveled one section that was not straight and had bothered me since I moved into the house, but hadn't mentioned to their staff. Very happy with the repair and will go back to them if I decide on installing a new fence.

It was fantastic including the quality of work. The timing were exactly expected and they were excellent with time, price and quality.

It was great. Very nice guy. Family owned business. He is aware that I am getting more estimates and did not pressure me to buy on the spot. I still may use this company but need to get other estimates first.
