They came in with a crew of about six. They dismantled the fence and put in the posts one day and finished the next. They cleaned up any mess that was made.

It was a good experience. There were no problems. They were prompt and prices were competitive.

Prompt with their return call for service. I was able to negotiate price based on other estimates. They were fair and easy to work with.

Wonderful. The guys had to work in some rain, but kept working. Tom was very customer oriented and came out when I had questions to help make the process go smoothly. I am very happy with my new fence.

I really enjoyed working with this company. They responded to our call immediately and came out right away to give us an estimate. Their crews started when they said they would, and worked diligently. They installed the fence posts, and built the entire fence board by board. They did not use pre-fab pieces, but installed each individual slat and cross piece. They worked with us to get the sizes of the gates just right, and installed really nice locking latches. Our backyard is not level, and they were careful to level the bottom of the slats so they would look nice. My husband asked them to come back out and cut the fence a little shorter in some places so we could mow and trim more easily, and they did with no complaint. They were easy to work with, and very professional. We recommended them to friends, and they had a very good experience, too.

They were rated extremely well, which was one of the reasons I chose them. However, I am not completely satisfied. They were on time and they followed a schedule. They even stayed with the quoted price. I even paid extra for two gates, but neither of them close properly. When I called to see if they could fix the gates or refund the difference in price, they said they would call me back. Four days later they called and told me to adjust a screw. We couldn't find that screw, I need to call them and ask THEM to come back out. Other than that I was reasonably satisfied.

They did very good. They came out and gave a reasonable estimate. They came when they said they would. They did a good job tearing out an old fence and putting in the new one. They had very high professionalism. I would use this company again.

I called Glidden and explained our situation, that we needed a privacy fence installed asap. They were prompt in sending someone out to give us an estimate and just as quick at getting the fence installed. We did get several other estimates. Glidden's price was the best. The salesman described exactly what the work would entail and how long it would take. The work was done exactly as described and in the right amount of time. The workmen were courteous and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves so that there was no mess for us to deal with. We inspected the boards as they directed us to do after the work was done. There were a few boards that we didn't like. Glidden replaced them right away. We would recommend Glidden to anyone wanting good quality work at a fair price.

Went great. Good price - all the estimates were about the same. They did the work on time, we very nice and the results look great.

They did an excellent job. They came when they were supposed to and cleaned up their mess. They called before they came to tell me when they would be coming, and I didn't have to be home for the appointment.

Great experience across the board. Good people to work with. Owner came to our house to measure and he gave good advice. Fair on price, solid workmanship and quick turnaround. Fence looks outstanding and we have a number of compliments. Nice work cutting the scalloped fence.

This was the first time we had used their services. His price seemed fair and they did the work very quickly. They had it done the same day. They left no mess. They did a good job.

Arrived on time for estimate. Explained the problem (rotting fence posts) and how to fix problem. Checked remaining fence and determined that they did not need to be repaired. After I signed the work order, they said it would be repaired in the next week. The fence was repaired within 3 days.

They came out the same day that I called and stabilized the fence and them came at a later date to do the repairs. They were on time and came when they said they were going to.

They were prompt in answering and responded to the inquiries quickly. They got out to my home quickly and they did a great job on the fence in my backyard.

They had very reasonable pricing. They did good quality work. They were punctual and had the job done in a very timely manner. They were very respectful about being in your yard. The cleanup was a bit of a problem though.

They came and they cleaned the fence. I was requesting to them to make a bigger gate for it in order to get a big lawn mower through. So they built a double gate and they used part of the other gate to lessen the cost. They got it done quicker than they originally thought it would be done. They inspected the fence on both sides and one side was not damaged as much. They put concrete around the post to keep it in place without charging me. They cleaned the grate around the fence. When I came home I couldn't believe how nice it looked over there.

This company epitomizes great customer service. Sean, the estimator, was very prompt, informative, and involved both my wife and me in the discussion. He provided a copy, on site, of their license, bond, and insurance, along with great background literature on their products. They really explained why we should chose them over anyone else. Tom Glidden personally came out to measure and layout the fence, gave me his cell phone number, answered every call I made, and ensured that all the work was completed. He even coordinated his work with our landscaper, who needed to remove the world's largest yew in order to install the fence. He made sure everything was right - when I noticed that some hardware on the gate hadn't been replaced, he apologized (which was nice but not necessary!) and had it done the next day. We were supposed to have our gate put in on a Monday, but it didn't get done that Monday. When we called Mr. Glidden to find out what the scoop was, we learned that he'd wanted to have his "gate-specialist" guy on our job site, and he had already been scheduled for another job on Monday. Mr. Glidden had meant to call us to let us know that he had moved our job to Tuesday, but forgot to call. When we called him that afternoon when we got home from work, he was profusely apologetic that he'd forgotten to call us. He really just forgot to call us! We were ok with our fence being built on Tuesday. :-)

Wendy Glidden came to my home, showed me several pictures, and worked up the price. I entered into a contract. I indicated that I have a dog and removal of the fence would need to coincide with the installation of the new fence. Wendy stated that on the day the fence would be removed, the new posts would be set and two days later, they would return to install the fence. This was on a Friday. No fence on the following Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. I called on Thursday and spoke with Erin in the front office. She apologized and told me she would check into the matter and call me right back. No call back. I called her and she told me that they would be out to put in the fence on Friday. Friday came and went ... no fence. I called them and Erin put my call through to Jeff (Glidden?). Jeff was extremely rude and made excuses telling me that he wasn't the one who sold me the fence so he isn't responsible. I reminded him that he represents the company. I complained that no one calls to communicate (which, earlier, Erin confirmed stating this isn't their practice to call). Jeff told me I should be speaking with Wendy Glidden. I called Wendy. Wendy told me that Erin, or no one, had told her that I was calling. She apologized and told me that she would check into the matter. She called back and told me the company that supplies their fence (in Indy somewhere) didn't have my fence made yet and that it would be delayed. My fence was eventually installed; however, there were no finishing caps on many of the individual pickets and none of the posts had caps. I called to find out why. Apparently, the company didn't have them made yet. I was told they would be installed as soon as they arrived. To make a long story short, three weeks later, the caps were finally put on the fence and the drama is now nothing more than a terrible experience that I want to put behind me. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but if you decide to use them, avoid working with Jeff. Make sure that you work only with Wendy and ask her for her cell phone number so that you can find out the status of your fencing if things go south as they did on my job. For $5,000, one should expect better.

Their phone person was very courteous. She took down my information and someone came out to do an estimate within 2 days. They left a written estimate, complete with a drawing of the area to be repaired. At my request, they had also given estimates on replacing the chain link portion of the fence with other types of fencing. I declined to have that done at this time and instead just authorized the repair work. I mailed in the paperwork and called to ask about having the repair to the chain link corner posts done at the same time which was no problem. They required a 25% deposit; I mailed them a check. Within 3 days, Glidden had arranged for someone to check and mark underground utility lines before they did any digging. The next day, when I came home, the guys were just finishing up the job. The wood fence panel had been uprighted and repaired. The two corner posts on the black vinyl chain link had been straightened and the gate was working properly. They put a new piece of pipe in the ground to hold the bolt that secures the gate. They even spray painted the old scuffed fence caps and rails so they looked like new. The crew was courteous and cleaned up after themselves. I had obtained one other estimate. Glidden was cheaper on the estimate to repair the privacy fence panel and left a thorough written estimate, complete with drawing of my yard in relationship to the house, garage, etc. It was more professional. The total repair costs for both the privacy fence and repair of the black vinyl corner posts were less than an estimate received from a handyman company.

I called for an estimate to replace my back yard and pool equipment fence. They were out within a week and gave me a price with in 72 hours and did the work within a week from when I accepted. They were great and I would recommend highly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glidden was easy to work with. The job was very competitively priced. After they received the down payment, they began work right away, removing the old fence and installing the new one. They did a great job and the fence looks wonderful.

I originally called Glidden to get an estimate on fixing the gates on my chain link fence. The receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly and told me Sean would be the rep to come. He arrived on time and when I showed him the gates, he said he could probably fix them with a hammer. Which is exactly what he did. And by showing me how he did it, I should be able to correct the problem if it happens again. He was probably here no more than 15-20 minutes and didn't even charge me for it. Since I'm now retired and on limited income, that made my day.
